Here I am back in Hobart catching up on my last post from Let's Get Stitched, Hobart 2016
Saturday morning it was off to the well known Salamanca Markets

I bought this Myrtle timber salt grinder for my DS
and saw a timber cut out bicycle

Happened upon a real live Faery Shop, all pretty and pink

I meandered up to Battery Point and saw a Ship's Wheel in an Antique Shop

Saturday night it was off to a Chinese Restaurant for dinner

Later on I had to try a Green Tea Creme Brûlée with Gold Leaf at Salamanca Square

Sunday morning it was off to the Let's Get Stitched day

'Rell was one of the surprise Guest Designers

I purchased her little kit

for this sweet little Dilly Bag

Joy teaching me to embroider roses

Caught up with Val who I made the Name Badge for

Vicki in the centre and me on the right.......the girl's name on the left just escapes me

(I'm back right)

I had a wander around Constitution Dock and saw the Spiegeltent

Some dock scenes above

This cool blackboard in one of the Pubs
You wouldn't to have had too much to drink to read this
Bad enough trying to read it as it is lol

Monday morning and it's time to leave Hobart

On board the plane

And after some hours back here at The Bay
I had a lovely trip.....met some lovely people and hope to do it again one day!!!

~Girls Day In The Country 2014~

We are back from a lovely Girls Day in the Country hosted by the gorgeous Kerry

The 2 first things I packed were my sewing basket and JoJo's suitcase

Then off for an overnight stay with my 2 little grandchildren

After  10 hours of driving with stops Mr Armchair, JoJo and I finally arrived at beautiful Nundle!

This is what the road 30k out looked like.......a storm had been and there was a rainbow

Welcoming signs in

We pull up at the cabins and JoJo says 'Mum's friends (aka Girlfriends)

First stop in town was the delightful Odgers & McLelland Exchange Stores established in 1891 full of vintage style cookware, real brooms, enamel etc.......with not a plastic item in stock......suits me right down to the ground LOL!!!

I also bought an Ostrich Feather Duster
something I have been wanting for years and years

I also ended up buying a coffee pot very similar to the ones above except taller
I call it my 'Dances With Wolves' coffee pot
perfect on the stovetop when there is a blackout

Some enamel bakeware perfect for Shepherd's Pie

(pics with kind permission from Odgers & McLelland)

One of the first Girlfriends I saw was Shez

and Chez!!!

After that up to Kerry's shop

and for you Geo (no blog)

Wooden table in the shop

Timber Basket

Cute birdhouse

Cattle grazing

Also treated myself to a lovely felt hat

Chookyblue hosted a Make It, Fake It or Buy it Swap

and she opted to have JoJo for a partner
above is what JoJo received
a pencil case, milkbottle lollies (her favourite), some stickers and fluro wand
Thanks so much Chooky!!!

I received from Gail a hand towel embroidered with Grub Roses and soap from Goondowindi

The gift I gave was Buy It.....a book received by Lynda

Finished by Dinner for us here at The Peel Inn......we use to live at Peel outside of Bathurst so nice memories at the sound of this name.

More of the actual day coming!!!

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
