I love to try out recipes... take a beach walk and breathe in that salty blue air......love to have coffee...sip a glass of champagne......read a book......I am Queen of the Armchair and am inspired by all the wonderful blogs out there!!!

Can't Hold It In...I'm going to PARIS and Latvija (Latvia)

I have the most exciting news!!!

I've got a few 'Paris' things around the house thinking one day it would be nice to go there but never really expecting to.....
As we care for JoJo it would just be too hard to organise let alone find Care for her
It's hard enough to organise a night out without booking respite in advance
No spontaneous Dinner Dates for us here

This just has to be the next best thing

Last July my Beloved Son rang me and said

Mum, get your Passport......I'm taking you to Paris............eeeeekkkkk, whaaaaaaat
I walked around in a Dream
and then
Tickets were bought.......flights booked

I've got an assortment of books to look through

I'll especially have to study this one

I'm using this as my Planning Book

I even bought an Ink Stamp ages ago
Just part of the fun collecting Paris stuff

This is my Pinning Table which Mr Armchair brings in for me when I am pinning a quilt
and I stuck this stamp on it

I wrote my first letter with this stamp on the envelope to my good Friend Geo (no blog)

This bag is at the end of the table housing a Special Project (next post)

A bucket bought a long time ago now houses Paris stuff for Our Trip

The first thing I bought specifically for the trip......will come in handy as I have no French language

Little Affirmation Cards received at Christmas

The quote today is
The Sea is Everything
Its Breath is Pure and Healthy
It is an Immense Desert
Where One is Never Lonely
For you can Feel Life stirring on all sides

Jules Vern

Even had me an Award Winning Pear Cider

And today courtesy of Allen & Unwin and Goodreads I won this copy of Josephine Moon's
'The Chocolate Promise'.  All very timely as this book is set in Evandale, Tasmania then goes over to Paris and Provence.......This is my absolute next read!!!

Thank you so much Allen & Unwin and Goodreads........can't wait to get into this book!!!!!

The Biggest Thank You and Love to my Mr Armchair who is going to stay home and care for JoJo whilst I go off to Paris and Latvia
and not to forget my Prince of a Son.....

Thank You So Very Very Much
Words cannot express what I feel for you both

does it get any better than this

Love, Dzintra

Hello to all my lovely Friends out there in Blogland...

The weather here on the Coast has been absolutely beautiful this week...warm sunny days with a few beach walks thrown in...I reckon it's time to hit that water soon!!!

To start the week off I recieved a parcel from my Partner Carol...
this parcel is part of the Advent Swap hosted by Fiona in conjunction with Jo ...

My goodies are all in here...numbered from 1-24...one gift a day to be opened up till 25th December...and I am being very good and just staring at this box...and not opening it...
And Hubby is amazed it is still sitting there unopened!!!
(I think he's secretly on guard!!!)
Thank you so much Carol...I am eagerly awaiting to delve into these gifts come December!!!

And Carol ...your Advent gifts are on their way to you in this bag!!!
Thank you so much to Fiona and Jo for organizing this Advent Swap...what fun it has been!!!

Then the next day...I received another package...with none other than our own Russel Crowe on the stamps!!!
This one a giveaway win over at Miss Nance's !!!

All wrapped up in this fat quarter with a scrapbooked card...

were these 'vintage' d'oyleys!!!

Thank you so much Gail for hosting this fun giveaway!!!
Gail and I hope to meet each other one day as she lives not too far away from me!!!

But wait...there's more!!!
2 days later another parcel...this one from my Stitchers Angel...Sigrid, all the way from Germany!!!

My Angel gifts all wrapped...and ready to be opened...

all in reversible paper too...I haven't seen that before!!!

A little Advent Calendar card along with a postcard!!!

And inside...a journal cover with a rose stitchery on the front...
a little bag...some lotion...and the biggest surprise...A Harry Potter calendar for 2010!!!
Oh Sigrid...how excited was I to see all this!!!

Plus a lovely little zippered case...rose fabric and threads!!!
The theme for this Swap was roses...how beautiful is that!!!
Sigrid has a wonderful Harry Potter quilt on her blog...if you get a chance and you are a Harry Potter fan hop on over and take a look...you won't be disappointed!!!
Oh Sigrid...these are the first swap gifts I have received...
they are just so gorgeous...you have lovely small stitches!!!

I am well and truly blown away by your generosity...and your thoughtfulness and will always treasure my first Stitcher's Angel Swap gifts!!!
Thank you so very very much dear Stitchers Angel Sigrid...Danke Schon (hope that's right)!!!
And a huge thank you to Helen (Mother Angel) for organizing this swap so Stitchers all over the world could take part in this!!!

Last weekend we looked after these 2 precious little Cherubs...

while their Mum put on these very pretty pink shoes and went off to a Wedding!!!

What a very special week it has been!!!
And to finish off as we head off into the weekend...
Giving whether it be time, labour, affection,
advice, gifts, or whatever, is one of life's greatest pleasures.

Welcome To My World

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
