~SSCS (Secret Santa Christmas Swap)......Received and Sent~

All the way by Royal Mail from England has arrived my SSCS from Diane

Included was this whimsical Santa Card

And 2 Christmas Ornaments......
We can open the smaller package

but this bigger one has to remain sealed until Christmas Day
It was placed under the Christmas Tree today.......sigh, and now all I can do is look at it
Thank you so much Diane!!!

This is the package I sent off to my Partner Dagmar in Germany along with some Lindt Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt

Out of this lovely screen print that I had purchased from Shop Handmade in Canberra

I made this little Christmas decoration......I thought it most suitable as she probably has a White Christmas
The ric rac is vintage now as I bought it years ago to make an Angel Suit for my Sister's little newborn first Baby.....
This didn't get made up so the ric rac sat there until I thought I would use it for Dagmar's Ornament......
Never mind now that the Baby is 35 years old!!!

I hope you enjoy your little decoration Dagmar along with the chocolate and now we both patiently wait to open our parcels!!!

Thank you to dear Chooky for organising this fantastic swap.......always a good one to be part of!!!

A Catch Up Week....and 'Eye News'

I've been a little quiet on the blog front lately....turns out the iPad screen is playing havoc with my eyes and giving me headaches.......not just the screen but bright light outside and glare as well...... After a trip to the Optometrist I've been prescribed new lenses with anti-glare and been advised to have breaks from it all.......so looking forward to the new specs!  Meanwhile I am visiting everybody but not commenting everywhere!

I thought a little catch up was In order
Above is some secret sewing for Chooky's SSCS (Secret Santa Christmas Swap)
The big reveal will happen after Christmas when my Partner opens her gift

Meanwhile here's JoJo snipping some Snow Peas which are doing really well

I bought some garlic and onion from the Moruya Sage Markets

And then of course some garlic fell down and looked like a spaceship
Also I spilt the frozen peas all over the floor

Went to a Carer's Lunch today at The Grapevine Cafe and had the most delicious Chicken Salad with Avocado and Grapes.  Also check out the lovely (Market) Zucchini.......such lovely shapes!!!

Underneath is a pic of a Gluten Free Fingerlime and Coconut Tart also purchased at the Markets.....totally awesome!

Better sign off now......these poor old peepers are starting to spin
Till next time......Dzintra

~A Respite Weekend For Us.......and Chooky's Christmas Swap~

This weekend we had organised a much looked forward to respite for JoJo
We thought we'd have a day trip down the coast
We started off at the Blue Earth Cafe for coffee/lemon myrtle tea and lunch

We ended up at the beautiful seaside port of Bermagui where Billy Connolly filmed part of the film The Man Who Sued God
We had Fish 'n Chips here and saw a fishing boat come in.

This morning I made (gluten free) Choc Chip Muffins with Choc Chips that were organic from

This afternoon I did a little on my Tilda Club Pin Cushion

and to finish off we went for a beach walk in the late afternoon and saw the sun catching the waves

 and on the beach grass

'round the corner this piece of gum!
A lovely relaxing weekend just being 'us' and tasting the 'normal' world
We could come and go as we please
Sit for as long as we wanted without having to jump up and down
We even walked together and held hands on the beach
Something we don't normally do as one of us has to be with JoJo!!!

All in all a lovely weekend........

I have joined Chookyblue's Secret Santa Christmas Swap this year and looking forward to receiving news of who my partner is!!!

Thank you to everyone who comes over and reads my humble little blog and comments on it
I truly do appreciate it and do try sincerely to get back to everybody

Hope your weekend was a good one
Here's to another week........Dzintra xo

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ...
