~OPAM...One Project A Month

OPAM here once again
This time I have a little Pin Cushion
Stitchery designed by Bonnie Sullivan for Girls Day In The Country
We were each given a pattern and could make anything we like out of it for a Swap and this was my contribution

My poor old Heat Bag had developed a hole so a new Parisian inspired cover was made for it

3 little handy bags

One of which came in handy for the Pin Cushion

And finally a little Needlebook which was part of a Kit for GDITC

I decided to put a cross on the thread part of the bobbin

page in 'Needlebook'

and a little signature and date on the back of the Needlebook

Thank to Sweet Peg and Kris for hosting OPAM again this month!!!

`OPAM (One Project A Month) 2017.......I have joined again

After a bit of pondering I have joined OPAM again hosted by the lovely
Sweet Peg and her Partner-in-Crime Kris
Thanks so much Gals for running this again!!!

For February I made a new Heat Bag Cover for JoJo
As you can see above this was sorely needed

When I am out and about and JoJo happens to be with me I ask her to select some Fat 1/4's that she likes and she chose this music one so I thought it would make a perfect cover for her

For the second time since I received them I sewed one of my name labels on to it and I thought it looked pretty cool!!!

Hope I can keep up this year as I have a couple of big projects to do!!!

Happy Sewing......love Dzintra

~Heat Bags...and time with Ryan~

We had our little Grandson Ryan here for a few days and seeing he feels the cold I thought I would make him a little heat bag...

with some lovely farmyard fabric I had...

All done after a little while...

and here he is posing with it!!!

His little Sister Lidija (pronounced Lidia, but spelt the Latvian way) wanted one too...
she chose this fabric with 'love hearts'

Looking forward to her own bag...

Cuddling up!!!

Then their Mum (DD Jacqueline) wanted one too!!!

All together now...but not for long!!!

Jacqueline thought her Hubby Bill might like one too!!!
I used Anni Downes pattern from 'A Gardener's Journal'......these bags are just lovely and warm!

I took Ryan into town to look at toys......here he is looking at choices...

Choosing......decisions, decisions......ah, which one?

Ryan is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan...
When he grows up he wants to re-instate all the train tracks throughout the country...
and all this he said when he was 5...
now he is 6!!!

Rusty won......and a litte Lego for Lidija also...

We also went down to the beach to build sand castles...
the camera just happened to catch the sand flipping up into the air!!!
I can't believe the beautiful weather we are having during the daytime...
just perfect for beach walks!!!

Hello, my name is Dzintra Ingrid ... have been known as Ingrid and since our Sea Change I have started to use Dzintra ... pronounced without the D ... (but still known as Ingrid, I know, it's confusing ...)

Welcome to my world ... a journal of our Sea Change ... Mum to three wonderful children ... bringing up a daughter with a disability and seeing life through her eyes ... being a new Nanna ... photos ... inspiring quotes ... taking on a cookery course ... the odd recipe ... and trying to get some stitching done amongst all this ...
