#Blessed - Mary Tzalla

Hello Dusty Attic fans!

Today I'm back with a new layout based on our October's Moodboard. Lots of beautiful chipboards and flowers on the earthy tones of orange, brown ad teal makes my layout look more autumnal and warm.

I got inspired by the leaves, the nature and as I said before the colors.

I used a 7dots studio paper for my background and I created texture with some modeling paste and a stencil. Then I added color with some Lindy's sprays.

Then, I painted the ''Mystic Frame #1'' and the chipboards from the ''Wood Slices'' and the ''Drift Wood #2'' with the Finnabair Rustic Brown acrylic paint and then I sprayed them with the Lindy's Cattail Copper Brown and the Bayou Boogie Gold sprays.

I continued by painting the title from the ''Hashtag Sayings'' set with the Finnabair Sparks Ginger Magic paint.

When everything was glued down I added some mica flakes and made some splatters with with ink.

Play - Farrel Tailor - Mood board inspiration

Hey there Dusty Attic Fans!! Farrel here to share with you all my take on this month's mood board. I took my inspiration from the blue, green and brown tones and being outdoors in nature.

And this is what I came up with....
Play by Farrel Tailor
For the background I used Distress Oxides - Cracked Pistachio and Faded Jeans. The stamps I used were Darkroom Door - Numbers Border stamp and Kaisercraft Brick texture stamp.
Blueprint play
For the title I used Blueprint Play and Industrial Barbed Stars. I covered the stars with Prima Rust Effect Paste and used the 2 Distress Oxides and Prima Art Alchemy Waxes in Green Brocade and Lucky Emerald to add highlights. For the Play chipboard, I inked with black ink and then covered with Faded Jeans Distress Oxides.

Industrial stars border and scrolls
I used the same products above for the second Industrial Barbed Stars, Industrial Scrolls and Industrial Border #1. I did cut these pieces into sections to make it fit and make the layout look like it was full.

rust effect paste
For the corrugated cardstock, I painted it first with silver acrylic paint and then applied the Prima Rust Effect Paste. I also covered some of the numbers from Roman Numerals in the rust effect paste.

To finish the layout I splattered using the Rust Effect Paste and Distress Oxides.

Togethr - Joanne Bain - Mood Board inspiration

Hi Everyone!!

Joanne here today sharing my latest creation created for the gorgeous Dusty Attic October Mood Board Challenge. The challenge gives you the chance to win one of two $50 Dusty Attic Gift Vouchers. To enter you simply need to use the Mood Board for Inspiration, you can interpret it anyway you like. The only requirement is that Dusty Attic chipboard is used in your creation. Once completed simply add your link to the right side bar of the Dusty Attic Blog.

So this is the October Mood Board..

The colours are beautiful so bright and vibrant.

I was inspired by the colours of the board and created a white space layout to showcase them.

'Together'

The chipboard was given a very light white wash of white gesso, I wanted the raw chipboard to still show through.

I glued the shutters to the side of the window so that they would stay open, I love that you are looking through the window to see the sweet kiss.

I trimmed away the centre piece of the window so that it draws the eye into the window.

Live in the Moment - Nicole Doiron - Mood Board Inspiration

Hello Dusty FANattics!

I hope you are having a beautiful October so far and are up for a little mood board inspiration today.

I am sure that you will agree with me that the October board is just stunning with all its Autumn-themed images.

I absolutely adore it and found it to be extremely inspiring.

I actually really enjoy the Fall season. If it wasn't so cold at times (I live in Canada!), it would most likely be my favorite season. I do love to wander in the woods when the leaves are changing colours and you can hear the sound of leaves under your feet. Sometimes a trail through the woods brings you to an unexpected river which is what happened this particular moment a few years back.

I thought that the Live In the Moment title was very fitting for this memory.

I covered it with a heavy coat of embossing powder.

On my background I used two Dusty Attic stencils, the Distressed Grid stencil with black shimmery paint and the Leaves stencil with copper velvet paste. I dabbed some Dusty in Colour Sunburnt Orange paint here and there to accentuate the Autumn hues of the paper and photo.

You can see below one of my favorite chipboard because it is so versatile which is the Perforated Mesh. I used embossing powder and a touch of Oceania on it.

The Leaves were treated with Sunburnt Orange with a very light dab of Cashmere.

I must say I absolutely love this colour palette in which the October board inspired me to create!

Happiness is... documenting these little moments in life with art!

I hope you enjoyed my take on the October Dusty Attic mood board.

Here are the Dusty Attic products that I used to create it.

Escape - Michelle Carrick - Mood Board Inspiration

Hey ya, scrappers!

Here’s another impressions of the October mood board! A quick yet effective canvas to inspire you!

Using K Craft
Glimmer mist –Sunshine Yellow,
plus water to help spread the paint,
I poured onto
the canvas and swirled with a paint brush.

Then,
I used Prima Rust paste yellow; mustard and a touch of red,
I painted the retro frame.

I
found some roughly handmade paper dark brown and added hessian over. I then attached the frame and sanded the edges of my photo.

Finally, I added flowers, dried leaves and red berries.
