Wistful - Mixed Media Canvas by Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new canvas.

I primed the canvas with white gesso. Next, I covered it with paper paste and added a design with the circle Dot stencil. Then, I painted the background with purple, Prussian blue, and black liquid acrylic paints. When dry,  I added some clear crackle paste to the edges of the canvas.  I added more paints to make visible the cracks.

I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I cut a couple of pieces from the Marrakesh Treillis and used Black Gold wax to color it.

I painted the Wisteria with purple liquid acrylic paint and added a touch of Honey wax.

I painted the Spider Chrysenthemum in blue as well as the flowers of the Daisy #3, and some umber paint for their leaves. I painted the Leafy Frame Set #2 chipboard with blue and umber paint.

For the Leaves #5, I chose umber paint and burnt sienna for the Poppy Heads. I added gold accent with waxes to all the chipboards.

To finish, I added some blue and purple glitter.

One with Nature - Kerstin Filou

 Hello creative friends!

My friend wanted a new design for her child's room.

Her son enjoys exploring nature and always brings his discoveries to show his mum.

She desired a natural scene for a boy without any flowers.

Thus, I created a wild layout. I continued the central photo in a painterly manner and assembled various photos of beetles, plants and spider webs around it.

Nature has so much to offer when we keep our eyes open.

At Dusty Attic I found a lot of matching chipboards in natural look,

I especially love these magical mushrooms.

WEEKEND - Heather Woodall

 Good morning

Today I've done another layout for you, it's a bit busy, but love how the chipboard jumps off the page.

I started with this seaside range from Art Alchemy and fussy cut all the elements I wanted and placed them on my page. I added some white cardstock and corrugated board to some dimension and texture.

Tucked in subtly is the Juliette Balcony #2 - https://dustyattic.com.au/product/juliette-balcony-2/ -  it has been inked with white ink, but just 1 layer so that it stayed this greyish colour from the chipboard coming through.

I then used some more of the leaves from Leafy Frame Set #3 - https://dustyattic.com.au/product/leafy-frame-set-3/

For these I've coloured with my Prisma Colour pencils and added some scribble lines around the edges with a brown Crayola Texta.

To finish it off, and to try and soften it, I added some flowers, gauze, and art stones.

All of the chipboard pieces can be found on the Dusty Attic website - https://dustyattic.com.au/

Book Nook Enchanted Forest - Kerstin Filou

  Hello everyone!

I was inspired again to create a new book nook.
Maybe you remember the last one in steampunk style.

Today to the theme Enchanted Forest, a little dreamy fairy house in natural style.

How to ...tips

for the lighting I added an additional wall made of cardboard,
which was covered with wood paper and finished with cutting dies (stars)

side walls were covered with scrapbooking paper,
stencilled with butterfly motifs and
decorated with pieces of  Leafy Frame Set #2

in project centre is a 3D Birdhouse, which is fixed on a birch branch as a stand
a ladder leads to it, which was created from the Old Wooden Fence #3

cut out the door from chipboard remnants

primed with black gesso and painted with acrylics

furthermore I used various naturally dried materials
to finish the house (branches, pine cones, lichen)

A girl and her Dog - Heather Woodall

 Hi all

I'm back again this month with another layout for you. For those who know my scrapping know that I do just a little bit of fussy cutting, and there is just a little bit on this page.

I love Dusty's range of puppy dog chipboard, almost as much as I love my puppy dogs, who you will get to see over the course of the year, so both my puppy Teddy and the chipboard were the inspiration for this page.

I started with the title DA2411 A Girl and Her Dog

I also had these very cute paw print chipboard DA2415 Paw Prints - Dog.

I also had some of the leaves (DA2688 Leafy Frame Set #3) left from my January 2023 mood board page. I have cut these down into smaller pieces and added in between the layers of fussy cut flowers on my page.

All of the chipboard was coloured in using my Prismacolour Pencils. I love to colour, whether it be with pencils, copic markers or paint, and am experimenting with different ways of getting colouring in/on to more of my projects. The larger chipboard is a great base to add colouring pencils to. The smaller paw prints on this one were a bit more of a challenge, but I love the end result and glad I persisted.

Thank you again for spending time with me. I hope that I have inspired you to think of new ways to embellish your chipboard this month.
