Flower Girl - Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a tag.

Photo: @ArtHouseWhimsy

I chose the 9,5x20 cm tag from the Tag Medley set. I primed it with white gesso and added a design using the Floral stencil and light modeling paste. Next, I painted the background with different colors of liquid acrylic and mica powder until I was satisfied with the result.

I primed all the chipboards with black gesso. I used a 3D gloss gel to adhere them to the tag.

When everything was securely glued, I dry-brushed the chipboards with white gesso.

I colored the Wisteria, the Wildflowers #3, the Daisies #3, and the Designer Disc #10 with Nude liquid acrylic, Gold Rose and Celestial waxes.

I covered the Foliage #23 and the leaves of the Daisies #3 and Wildflowers #3 with Sage and White waxes.

To finish, I added some glitter.

Wistful - Mixed Media Canvas by Pascale B Scrap

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new canvas.

I primed the canvas with white gesso. Next, I covered it with paper paste and added a design with the circle Dot stencil. Then, I painted the background with purple, Prussian blue, and black liquid acrylic paints. When dry,  I added some clear crackle paste to the edges of the canvas.  I added more paints to make visible the cracks.

I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I cut a couple of pieces from the Marrakesh Treillis and used Black Gold wax to color it.

I painted the Wisteria with purple liquid acrylic paint and added a touch of Honey wax.

I painted the Spider Chrysenthemum in blue as well as the flowers of the Daisy #3, and some umber paint for their leaves. I painted the Leafy Frame Set #2 chipboard with blue and umber paint.

For the Leaves #5, I chose umber paint and burnt sienna for the Poppy Heads. I added gold accent with waxes to all the chipboards.

To finish, I added some blue and purple glitter.

Just Because - Kim Arnold

Hi everyone! Some pretty floral inspiration today from me.

I have created a bright and pretty layout of two lovely friends and I dressed up enjoying a day at the races using a beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard title, mandala, daisies and word disks and strips. I will take you through what I have used and what techniques I applied.

Starting with the mandala, I painted it with gold mica paint which covers the chipboard perfectly. I then cut it 1/3rd and 2/3rds so that I could include it on both side of the layout with the photo in between. Cutting the chipboard off centre makes the layout more interesting and dynamic.

Mandala #2 by Nuneka

For the title, I painted it white and then rubbed it with white pearl wax which gives it a pearlescent shine. The word disk and strip are just painted white so they don’t stand out as much as the title. I have layered the title over the larger part of the mandala so it really stands out.

I then coloured the daisies white with a bright yellow paint in the centre. I love the effect of the painted daisies among the dimensional paper flowers. I have also used some small foliage berries which I have painted with green stems and gold berries. These are also nestled amongst the flower cluster.

I hope you have a chance to get some creative time in soon.

Happy scrapping
