Great Outdoors - Lynette Jacobs - Mood Board Inspiration

Lynette here, welcome to the blog today. I am sharing my take on the February mood board. I used photos that we took on a hike of Robberg Nature reserve.  It is so beautiful where the ocean meets the mountain.

The February Mood board

Dusty Attic product used on this project:

Some close up images of the page:
I first applied some Antique Linen distress ink through the bubbles stencil to break the white background. The compass was dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

The beaded flourish and words # was heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then applied some Nuvo glitter drops to the beads.

I just love the little life unscripted embellishments and made a little cluster of them in the corner.  They were all painted with acrylic paint.

The Great Outdoors title was heat embossed with a Lindy's embossing powder. We would love to see your take on our moodboard.  Don't forget to share your projects on our Facebook page.

Beach Life - Lynette Jacobs

Hallo there.  Lynette here today, welcome to the blog.  I am sharing my October inspiration with you today.  I used a photo that was taken on our recent vacation in Plettenberg Bay.  Nature and specifically the beach soothes my soul.  Here is my page:

Chipboard used on this project:

My process and some close up details:
This Heidi Swapp Carefree paper was just the perfect back ground for this photo.

I used some of the weather icons for the top cluster.  I painted the sun and then heat embossed all the icons with clear embossing powder.

I painted all of my chipboard elements with a mix of yellows, whites and blues to compliment the photo and the background.  This clusters are 4 layers deep and chunky...the way I like it.

The layers from the bottom us, is driftwood, coral, sea weed and then the little seahorse...with a sprinkle of shells and starfish.

I painted the "BEACH"word to compliment the back ground and heat embossed the "life"word and layered it over the Beach word.  The quoted sentiment was heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then dry brushed with white gesso.

On this cluster I used the coral at the bottom and then added the seagull and the jellyfish over top...with a sprinkle of starfish and shells below

I love the way the colours of the chipboard compliment the photo and the back ground paper.

I hand stitched around the edges of the patterned paper and finally added some Nuvo Crystal drops, a few definitions and the date.  I love how the foiled elements shines.

Explore - Lynette Jacobs

Lynette here, welcome to the blog today.  I have the pleasure of sharing some inspiration for September.  I used some photos of my youngest grandson doing what he loves most...behind the steering wheel of Daddy's car.   As you can see in the photos, he does look rather pleased with himself.   I used patterned papers from the Heidi Swapp Carefree collection.

Some close up details:

I wanted to create a scene in nature.  I painted the sun and clouds with acrylic paint.

The little compass was dry brushed with beige acrylic paint to give it a washed out look.

The quoted sentiments were also dry brushed with beige acrylic paint and the trees were painted and shaded.  The "daily" words were heat embossed with light blue embossing powder.

The blueprint word and the two arrows were heat embossed in gold to match some of the other gold elements on the page.
