CaKes, CakEs, and More cAkes....

I have had many requests since Novemeber for celebration cakes. Weddings, Birthday, 50th birthday, retirement and baby shower. I love the internet!! It has opened my eyes to cake decorating. I have really enjoyed making these cakes. It was fun to test my abilities and so much fun to see the faces of people I made them for. I hope you all enjoyed them as much as I did making them.

The above is my girly friends wedding cake. Nov 7th 2010

I decided to get brave and go out of my comfort zone on this purse cake an the pregnant belly cake below. I love how both of them turned out.

This polka dot cake was made for the Mother of my Best Friend. She turned 50. I mad the cutest big 50 to put on the top. :( I never got a picture.

This cake was made for my Boss. She retired after working at St. Mark's for 30 years. She had been my boss and a friend for 10 of those years. This cake was so much fun.

Emma's 4th Birthday!!

Whe had such a great day! Emma wanted a princess cake for her birthday. It is funny how girls want everything princess. Shirley worked on Emma's birthday so I picked up Kimberlee and had plans to pick up Vinny to go play at Jungle Jim's and then Jackie decided to take a half day and join in the fun. I am so glad she did, four kids under 4 would have been a challenge for me. Thanks Jackie for the help. They all seemed to love the place. It was fun to see the joy and smile on Boston's face as he enjoyed each ride. This was his first time on any rides.

Later that evening while blowing out candles with my family Emma was bending over the cupcakes getting ready to blow out the candles when all the sudden her hair started on fire. Poor thing was scared to death she said " mom, I don't wan to have my birthday anymore" as she was crying and crying. Fire and Emma sure don't get along. Thanks goodness Dad was so close to pinch it out. We reassured her she could still have her birthday we will just have to pull her hair back next time.

Emma is such a joy, she has such a fun loving personaility. She is very very sassy. The smile she puts on my face with all of her grown up language and verbage. She started preschool this past August and loves it. She is learning lots. Emma is the best big sister to Boston and loves him so much.

Emma we love you!!!

Pumpkins 2010

PUMPKINS
We are so excited for really the first time we grew some carve-able pumpkins. It is kindof funny when I bought the six pumpkin plants the lady at the store gave them to me because she thought the plants were dead. I planted them, watered them and this is what we got.....

The kids loved them and Emma is so excited to carve the BIGGEST one. She keeps telling me that one is hers.

Six year Anniversary

Wow 6 years already!!

I have married my Best friend. I have an amazing husband who has brought out the best in me. He has been able to help me become a better person. I feel like we have gone through so much in our short 6 years than what most people go through in a life time.
We have totally destroyed our home and remodeled it and continue to make changes to it.
We have given birth to two wonderful and healthy, beautiful children who have changed our lives forever.
I had a major surgery in 2005
We have gone through a huge loss with Dustin's family, loosing his brother.
Each year we spend a week up at his parents cabin with the kids. While we go Muzzleload hunting the kids stay back with his parents. Each morning and night we get to come back to our kids. I love this time Dustin and I get to be together.
Dustin Thank you for being the best husband and making me a better person. I am lucky to have such a wonderful man. You are a great dad and I look forward to many more years together.

These pictures were us celebrating our 6th anniversary. We had dinner at Ruby River, a movie and then up to visit Shirley and Brandon and Baby Krew at the Hospital. I think they have their babies on the week of our anniversary so we can come visit them on our Anniversary Date. He he

Vegas Kids style

VeGas Kid StyLE

Shirley was 71/2-8 months prego and decided she needed a break. So we planned a play date. We originally were going to try and do a beach vacation but ended up doing a little less expensive and closer vacation in case she had Baby Krew early. Are we nuts??? so we packed up the kids, car seats, strollers and packed the kids in Shirley's car and headed to vegas. We had so much fun. The kids were amazingly well behaved. We at Dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, we went to the shark reef at Mandalay bay, M&M factory, Coke Cola factory, spent time in the swimming pool and even went to Freemont street. We really did have a fun time with the kids in vegas. I love having a friend who is so adventurous and is open to doing anything.

mothers day

Mother's Day
I am so far behind at blogging can you believe it. I saved these pictures of my mom clear back in May to blog and never made time. So I am now trying to play catch up!

I have the most amazing mother in the world. I have a mother who is always there for her children and for her grandchildren. I know if I ever need anything my mother will be the first one there and helping me. I am so grateful for the friendship I have with her and the friendship she is building with my children. Mother you are an amazing person and I strive to be a mother like you. I love you so much.

2nd Triathalon

My Husband is an amazing man.   He is the strongest most self motivating person I know.  When he really wants to do something he will do it and will not stop until he is the BEST.  Last September was his first Triathalon and he did well.  April 24th was Dustin's 2nd triathalon which also did well.  I took the kids to support him, got them all loaded in the stroller, snacks, sippy cups and all.   Got up to see him and realized I forgot my CAMERA.  DUH.  So we ran back to the car hoping not to miss him transition.  When we got back we were thinking we missed him so we walked  over to the pool where  I noticed his head in the water. (he is the furthest to the right.)

Getting out of the pool transitioning to his bike.

Dustin is the furthest guy on the Left. (in the middle)
Ready set Go...... the 12.5 mile bike ride.  Dustin said
it was a bugger.  Many, many hills to go up.

Here is a pic of Boston waiting for Dad to come in from the bike ride. Emma was
running around.  Kept waiting and waiting for him to come in.  When for some reason I turned to look at the runners taking off and who do I see.......

DUSTIN.....  he was heading up the run trail so we had to run and cheer him on while I snapped a few pics.  It is hard to juggle the kids, camera and let alone try and find the person you are looking for when they all have similar bikes, helmets, etc....  So we missed his transition from bike to run.  He said he flew in.  He really must have because we didn't even see him bike in.

Dustin running to the finish. After a 3.2 mile run, 12.5 mile bike and a 400 meter swim.

He finished of course! with a total time of 1 hour and 21 minutes.  What a man.  I envy him. I wish I had the drive he does.  I tried to run 2 miles with him the other week, while he was pushing the kids and I thought I was going to die.
I really need to get is shape. Dustin informed me he will be doing a Iron man within the next few years. What a huge accomplishment that will be. I know he can and will do it. Way to go babe.  You are truly amazing.
