My card today features HOLIDAY LITTLE BRO 

Oh my gosh he is so FUN!! Totally makes me think of 

my son when he was little.  And my bro-in-law now

who is not so little but still the crazy one at every 

family gathering!  There's always one!

Kraftin' Kimmie - NEW Release Sneak Peeks Day ONE August 2016

Oh hello sweet friends and followers! 

I'm so excited for this week because it's the start

 of the NEW Release sneak peeks for August
at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS

and it's all about Halloween and Fall!

The Krafty Girls are kickin' things off with a couple of
FANG-TASTIC sets from artist Annie Rodrigue!
Each set comes with a stunning new vampire image
plus 5 or 6 coordinating sentiments!!

They are called VALENTINA


 and VANESSA VAMPIRE!

I'm sure you'll agree that these two ghoulfriends 

are bloody amazing!!

My first card of this week uses the amazing 

VANESSA VAMPIRE 

I literally laughed out loud when I saw this great sentiment 

because it's totally how I feel.  Every decade brings it's new

set of aging challenges.  It's just not fair!  My brain still

wants to believe I'm in my 30's but my body says otherwise!

This card is going to special lady who's been

undergoing chemo treatments for the past month

or so.  She doesn't seem to have lost her humor 

during this whole ordeal which I think is quite amazing!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenges #328 - Use 3 Die Cuts (and/or punches)

Hello krafty friends and followers!

Happy weekend - whoop whoop!

It's time for another fun weekly challenge 

at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE and this week

the theme is to use 3 Die Cuts (or punches).

FUN right?!  I love to use both of those things

on my cards and let's just say that my Big Shot 

gets lots and lots of use :o). 

In addition to the great Krafty Challenges & Wonderful Wednesday,

 each month we will post a Sketch. The sketch will last all month

 long and if you use it in ANY of our Challenges or WW's during 

that month you will get an additional chance to win a store gift card! 

You do NOT have to use the sketch, it's just a little extra boost 

for your mojo if ya need it! Here is April's sketch.

one of the adorably sweet little stamps and 

a cheeky sentiment from the NEW clear stamp

set called WHIMSICAL GNOMES.  LOVE this sweet set:

 I liked the pattern of this paper so much I thought it

would be fun to give this little lass a paper pieced dress.

I used a scalloped circle die, a circle die & a sunburst die

on my card today.  The banners were hand snipped.

Humor Me Wednesday at Catch the Bug - Sun Screen Day

Howdy! Thanks for popping in to visit me today!

It's Wednesday which means that it's time for another 

Humor Me Wednesday at CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGES.

Did you know that May 27th is "Sun Screen Day"?

Well neither did I until just recently - LOL!

I used the darling image called Beach Baby 2 for my 

card today to celebrate this fun "holiday". 

I've been having quite a lot of fun with the Doodlebug 

"Hello Summer" paper pad lately.  Love the bright colors & fun patterns. 

I used my white sharpie pen to add some polka dots to her yellow bikini.

Suddenly that song "itsy bitsy teen weeny yellow polka dot bikini" 

is in my head - is it in yours now too?  Sorry :o) 

I'm hoping we start seeing more sun here soon and having the

need for using some sunscreen.  Love the rain for my bushes and

trees (and grass) but also love me some sunshine more!

Catch the Bug Challenges - Humor Me Wednesday {Bird Day}

Happy Hump Day friends! 

Wednesdays are fun at Catch The Bug Challenges

because we do Humor Me Wednesday which features one 

of the fun (and sometimes strange) holidays of each week.

This week I've chosen "Bird Day" as my holiday.

I'm not exactly sure what Bird Day is or how it gets celebrated

but I thought I'd have a little fun with it by making this card

The name of this image is...  I bet you can guess it..."Fried Chicken"

Hehehe doesn't this just make you giggle?  

Gives a whole new meaning to a favorite dinner entree :o)

I found some paper in my stash that seemed perfect for this

(see, it's a good thing I hang on to lots of paper LOL)

and just let the image take center stage.

My Time to Craft #289 - Flowers

Happy Saturday peeps!!

There are leaves showing up on my trees, the days have been warmer

lately, the sun is shining and I am happy not to be at work :o)

Do you have any special plans for the weekend? 

Saturday always brings the start of another great challenge

at MY TIME TO CRAFT!

This week our theme is FLOWERS.

What a perfect theme for this time of year as they 

are just starting to decide to awaken and show their lovely

colorful faces after the long winter sleep.  

I took a bit a different spin on the flower theme

- really a rather humorous one - take a look:

I fully imagine that my Mom thought this of me a time or 

two when I was a teenager.  Fortunately for me, my own

daughter who just turned 15 is still so very sweet that I'm

just enjoying her grow and giving her lots of love (and 

embarrassing her just a wee bit every now and then - hehe).

Yesterday, my special Guest Designer term began for Bugaboo Digis

and the Catch the Bug Challenges. So excited!!!

Every Wednesday is Humor Me Wednesday at Catch the Bug Challenges.  

Did you know that this first week of April has 

several giggle-worthy holidays to celebrate?  

April 1st is (of course) "April Fool's Day" and "National Fun (at work) Day".  

April 2nd is "International Children's Book Day"

and....

April 3rd is "Don't Go to Work Unless It's Fun Day" 

Boy I sure wish I would have taken advantage of this holiday sooner - LOL!

Who knew there were so many different holidays??

Playing Cupid - PP179 (One Layer Valentine), ATCAS "New" and My Time to Craft Challenge #231

Hello.  Valentine's day is generally not my favorite holiday (but I do love the colors and heart shapes). I tend to go more with funny rather than serious or mushy valentine's cards.

The Paper Players Challenge #179 is to make a one-layer valentine.

I had recently purchased this funny digital image (Bugaboo) so what perfect timing for me.  One-layer cards are generally not my fort'e but I thought I'd give it a go just the same. Take a look:

I'm actually quite happy with how this turned out.  I LOVE that bright pink (it's one of my favorite colors) and check out that bright blue eye shadow on Stella - very classy (and actually very trendy again).  I thought about giving this card to my husband (something for him to look forward to in future years - LOL) but then decided that it will be a good card to send my Grandma.  This totally fits her sense of humor and I'm sure she'll get a good chuckle out of it. Kind of reminds me of her in her heyday - especially the hair ;o)

Bugaboo Birthday Bash Day #5 - Humor me Wednesday
