Your parents meant well. They likely bought you your first videogame or videogame console, and if you're still playing games today, you can thank them for the years of hopeless addiction you've accrued since. But that's not to say they ever had any idea what it was, how it worked, or what you were even doing with the damn thing. Maybe you just weren't vocal enough about defending your newfound hobby.
