Hi Everyone! I got home super late last night and I was just exhausted. I'm really not a fan of days like that. I need to have my "me" time. "Me" time usually consists of being able to do my nails, watching some Discovery ID and of course reading. It actually also involves playing Farm Heroes Saga but once again I'm stuck on that dang game!
I got packages up the wazoo last night too! Packages from Darling Diva Polish, Red Dog Designs, my UV lite gel kit and the Pueen Love Elements set. Just as I knew it would happen I am now on plate overload! I got an order in from Aliexpress, the Pueen set is here, and I have orders from Messy Mansion, MoYou and Cheeky on their way to me! UG!
Tonight I'm heading to Michael's after work to pick up ANOTHER MELMER! OH THE HORROR!!! I vow to be done after this though. If I have more polish than will fit into 12 drawers that is WAY too much like hoarding and I don't film well so I really can't wind up on Hoarders!
So because I didn't have enough time for nail art last night, and still wanting to keep up with blue theme I went with a Nabi magnetic! It turned out super cool! I love magnetics!
I was surprised how great this turned out the first time around! Sometimes I have to redo a few fingers.
I have pretty curved nails so magnetics aren't always my best friend, but they look pretty good here!!
I really love how you get instant art with just a magnetic--no muss and no fuss!
No label on the bottom of my Nabi though, so I can't even say what this color is!
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

A Leopard A Day Week Day 6
Hi Everyone!!! Happy Saturday!!! It's a chilly day here but expected to get warmer. Today is the fundraiser walk for The Friendship House which is a club house for those with mental illness. Every day the members get a great hot lunch and they can come and hang out day and share fellowship, use the computers, listen to music, do crafts, and learn skills to help them look for a job. They all pitch in and help with chores and the cooking and cleaning. After the walk we're having a cookout of brats and hotdogs! I am definitely in for some brats that's for sure!!
I didn't have a lot of time to put together a leopard mani for today since I was out late again last night doing mani's and pedi's toward the camera fund raiser BUT the good news is I'm halfway to my goal of $200!! I think by the middle of next month I'll be the owner of a new camera!
I hauled out my Nabi Wine magnetic and then just stamped an accent nail
I love magnetic polishes! They are the easiest nail art around!!
I have a lot of trouble not staring at my hands all day when I have a magnetic on!
So we're almost at the end of the journey! I can't believe it!! I sure had a lot of fun doing this. I'll have to think of another week long same image thing to do--maybe week long zebra??
Here's where we're at so far
Tomorrow's the last day!!! Hope I can pull off something great!

Square girl living in the circle world!
Hi Everyone! I have a super quick and easy mani for you today. There was a girl at work who had never heard of magnetic nail polish before. I was shocked! You know me and magnetic polishes! All 20 or so of them! I brought a few into work to show her how they work. She was really amazed. She could believe how easy nail art can actually be, especially when you're using a magnetic polish!
I bought the latest China Glaze magnet on clearance last month so I played around with it
I still love my Nabi magnetics best even if they smell the worst!
I love magnetics but having really curved nails they don't always love me
I tried to redo the tip of my pinkie and it just turned out wonky lol!
But that's not as bad and the tri split I attempted on thumbie!
OMG what is this?? Mutant magnetic?
Blue is a bizatch to clean up but a blue magnetic is even worse! I had to do dishes twice to get this all the way off my skin lol!
I'm still loving magnetic polish--how about all of you?

When less is more!
Hi Everyone!!! Happy Saturday! I have a lesson in when less is more to show to you today. I hear alot of time from many people who great my mani's are and how every one I do is fabulous, but the truth is far from that. I promised myself when I first started that I would show all my mani's the good the bad and the ugly. Today is a lesson in that and how you can sometimes can back from the brink.
My MSMD mani on Monday was a green magnetic so I decided to do another magnetic and went with a blue gradient. I love gradienting with magnets. This is what it looked like.
Looks pretty great!
Just the way I wanted it too so then I stamped over yet using DRK-A just the way I wanted too
Oh oh!! This is not what I visioned!
I feel like the gradient is covered up too much.
Here's the before and after
Okay so how can I save this? I know I'll put some OPI DS Sapphire over it and holo it up a bit
OMG now it's worse! completely gone is my gorgeous gradient! Let this be a lesson to any and all of you who swear holo is the be all end all--it isn't.
I pretty much wanted to cry at the point. I hated this mani and I HAD to go to bed. I knew it would bother me something fierce all day the next day though if I didn't try to save it somehow.
I hauled out my Cheeky XL D and gave it a go
Now this is MUCH better in my opinion! Gone is my gorgeous gradient but this mani now has alot more depth
This mani is definitely one I can live with!
Here's the side by side
The downside to this debacle is the fact I have 3 coats of a magnetic, one coat of white stamping, one coat of holographic polish one coat of black stamping and 3 yes you heard me 3 coats seche vite!!!! This mani is going to be indestructible!!!!
Here they all are together from good to bad to horrible to passable
Less can be more just remember that!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a great weekend!

Monkey See, Monkey Do Monday--Lacquerish!
Hi Everyone! I'm a little late in the day with this one but better late than never LOL! Awhile ago my friend Kerrie was searching high and low for an Essence plate to do a mani she had seen on Lacquerish. I met Kerrie through the Adventures In Stamping Facebook group and she really knocks em dead with her mani's. In her frantic search to try to recreate a mani she loved, I decided to check it out myself and see if it was something I could do. And low and behold it was but with a twist. Lacquerish posted a super cool magnetic stamped design never a year ago and that's the one Kerrie really wanted to do.
I didn't have the golds to do the mani with so I decided not to give up my green and go with a green magnetic. It's supposed to look like a tiger but to me it looks sort of alligatorey
I feel like the tiger stripes would look better just a little thicker
I love this green magnetic from Nabi though! It's really lovely
Here's a side by side comparison of before and after stamping with the Nabi green
Isn't it cool??
To see the original design by Lacquerish, which is super kick ass check it out HERE
My friend Kerrie was a page on Facebook called Nailed It and can be found HERE
Please take the time to check them both out!
And as promised here's a couple of pics of the gang for St Patrick's Day dinner on Saturday
This is my family and I love them! Even the niece's BF Dylan is awesome!
Here's just a shot of the food the best I could get it--nom nom nom!
Definitely can't wait for next year already!
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic night!

Oooooh Deja Vu!
Morning Everyone! Well we have Winter Storm Saturn bearing down on us today. Sounds just like last week doesn't it? We were supposed to get snow starting and 2 am and lasting until 5pm but now they've changed it to 11am until 12am. Who really knows what's going to happen! I've heard anything from 6 inches to a foot so I guess I'll just have to wait until it's all said and done to find out if we even get any at all LOL! Just in case I'm going to be totally prepared. The good news is no shoveling out this morning and my commute into work should be good.
Since I felt like this was so deja vuey of last week I wanted to try the China Glaze magnet I picked up at Sally's on clearance last week. When this baby first came out it was $10, but I got it for $1.99 It's the one with the circle image on it.
I love, love, love, LOVE magnetic polish BUT I have really curved nails so magnetic polish doesn't always love me. The nails on my right hand are a lot more curved then the left but I did get some great turn out with this magnet.
I hauled out my favorite magnetic color for this one and it looks great!
I think the bullseye image is really cool
Someone once told me it was impossible to make a magnet bend to make a curved line.
She was WAY wrong lol!
The Nabi magnetics are awesome in color, they really are, but they stink to high heaven!
I hope anyone in the path of Saturn stays safe today. Remember to drive carefully, bundle up, and keep your thinking cap on at all times!

Day 30--Your Favorite Nail Art Technique!
Hi Everyone!!! OMG only one more day to go in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge! I sort of feel like I won't know what to do when the challenge is over! How am I ever going to figure out what to do on my own lol! Today is Your Favorite Nail Technique and I'm pretty sure everyone will guess what mine is--stamping! I've been stamping for almost 2 years now. It's really changed my life! I've met the most amazing people through something as simple and even trivial as nail polish and some image plates.
I chose to do another magnetic gradient along with my stamping today just because I love to do them so much!
My niece says I always ruin my gradients by covering them up BUT I think a gradient and then stamping over it offers alot more depth
I used a Cheeky to stamp with and it wasn't an XL--I wish the Cheeky's were larger images on their round sets. I like them but they just aren't big enough. Too late to start again though!!!
Here's how messy this gradient was! Look at all the clean up I have with this sucker!
It was worth it though!
Tomorrow in the challenge it's Recreate a mani from the challenge. I have a very special mani in mind for this one! Make sure you check it out tomorrow!
Let's take a look and see what my fellow Tart's like to do on their nails!

Day 27 Inspired By You!
Hi Everyone! Wow what a harried day today's challenge became! Today's theme in the Crumpet Nail Tart's 31 Day Challenge is Inspired By You. I had all these super good intentions for a fabulous mani for today. Inspired by me I mean come on! I could fit chinchillas, food, hot cowboys, crackle, magnetics, gradients, foils mermaids, dragons, animal print and stamping onto 10 fingers somehow! What ended up happening instead were a few hours spent in the Emergency Room with my mom and sister. We had to call 911 for my mom yesterday and she thought she had the flu and was very dizzy and could not even lift her head. Turns out she has a raging kidney infection due to some kidney stones. Mom has had this kidney stone problem before but never got so sick from it. So after a few hours in the ER and her getting settled back at home with a babysitter of Lynelle my little sister last night, I got home to try to work on a mani.
I knew I would be back with mom today so I stayed up late--and by late I mean LATE working on this thing. I tried to get as much as I could into this mani but also had to settle for something that looks good as today is our office Christmas party. So I settled on a crackle, magnetic, gradiented dragon look starring some of my favorites--The Bohemians!
My index is Ninja Polish Nebula with SoflaJo Black Dagger on it! How cool is that???!!!
This really took hours but only because I redid my ring and pinkie a couple of times until I got a look I liked
Here's my left hand in the "claw" lol! Look at the thumb. Don't you just love a Bohemian sponged on gradient????
Here it is up close
GAH I love The Bohemians!!!!
I used BM313 for the ring and thumb and BM217 for the index
The pinkie is just black with China Glaze Oxidized Aqua over it. I tried to use a few of the crackles I have and nothing really looked as good until I did the Oxidized Aqua over black
Check out the shade pics
That matte over Nebula is just amazeballs AND the magnetic gradient in the shade looks really cool too
Maybe one day I'll be able to fit more of "me" into a mani. But for today I have to say this one kicks some serious A$$!!!!!!!!
Almost done now, what's up for tomorrow???
Well this will be interesting because my favorite color is yellow and yellow nail polish is something I don't have a lot of! Nor does yellow look good on me in any way shape or form LOL!
What makes up my fellow Tart's?? Check em out!

Day 21 Merge or Melt!
Hi Everyone! A three day weekend here in the states today as we celebrate Martin Luther King day. A man full of integrity who had a vision the world can be a better place. While we've come a long way we still have so very far to go. Seeing as our fearless leader is not an American she didn't really match up Merge or Melt with Dr King LOL!
And some of you might even be asking what the french toast is merge or melt? Well you are not alone people! I asked the same thing and here's my answer, it's whatever you want it to be with a splodgerama of color! OMG that is my new favorite word--splodgerama. And just when you think it's not really a word--well it isn't--BUT splodge does mean to make something with a blot or blots!
I love Debbie I just have to say that! I love that she's from England because the things they say there and the things we say here are sometimes completely different which really leads to hilarity many times over for us LOL!
I took merge or melt to mean gradient. Hmmmmm I wonder why? Probably because I gradient All.The.Freaking.Time! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand
today was no different!
My friend Jin of Superficially Colorful did a KICK ASS Merge and Melt and she showed me a preview of it yesterday. So in a jealous rage I had to try to top her!
I didn't really because her's is just SO cool, but I'm happy with this gradient
How do you like this pic ala Chloe's Nails? I'm sort of digging it!
My nails are almost too long now for the really good Icing magnet to work :(
And last but not least since I chose to do a peacock magnetic gradient I thought it only fitting to add an accent nail
SHAZAM! And there I called it a day!
Since I nailed this one today I wonder if I can manage tomorrow!
Oh yes! I have the best fabric to use for tomorrow!!!
Let's check out what my fellow Tart's have come up with for today shall we?!
