Shoes I'd never wear!

Hi Everyone!!!  Today is Sunday and you know what that means!!! Adventures In Stamping Facebook Group Challenge and the theme is . . . your favorite shoes.  Well I'm an old lady now and really don't have cool shoes anymore lol!  I've been wearing your basic black with good support for work shoes LOL.  BUT I did do some searching and found a pair of Louboutin snakeskin heels that are to die for gorg even if I'd never wear them!
Look at those nubs *shakes fist in air*  how sad
I sure hope they grow out fast!

Here's a pic of one of the shoes I used for inspiration
What do you think?  How'd I do?
I think this turned out pretty kick ass!

My red was China Glaze Salsa, and I stamped with DRK-B and Cheeky XL D

Another shoe pic for comparison!
All in all this was a really fun mani to do and MUCH better than plain old boring black shoes!

Here's one last side by side!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Roughed Up Ruffian!

Hi Everyone!  Today I'm sporting a couple of things I really love--a Ruffian and a textured polish!  I hauled out one of my OPI Suedes and one of the Julie G Gumdrops and got to work.  I chose OPI Russian Navy and Julie G Blueberry Fizz.  The result turned out better than I had hoped!
I don't know about any of you but if OPI was going to bring something back I sure wish it was either the Suedes or the original holo Designer Series.  But truthfully I really want the Suedes back!  OMG I love them!  Can you just imagine how gorgeous some bright summer colored Suedes would look???
I hope to work opposite for this look and put Russian Navy on first and then using a 3 hole punch reinforcement tab I added the Blueberry Fizz
I like this mani alot but felt I got a bit too much Blueberry Fizz on the swear finger!  Don't you hate it when one finger can ruin it for the rest?
I do love the look of these two types of finishes together though--what do you think?

I really love the textured polishes.  I have some of the Kiko's on their way to me and I really think I need the Bond's and the Pixie Dusts . . . OIY!  That's a lot of gritty polishes LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Oppa Ruffian Style! Ruffian Style!

Hi Everyone!  The other day there was another sighting of the mean girls club over on Lancome's FB page.  My fab friend Nory from Fierce Makeup and Nails did a lovey Ruffian that Lancome posted on their FB wall and oh my word some of the women commenting were complete wenches!  It was pretty redonkulous yet again.  I just do not get why women in the nail polish world think they have the right to be rude.  My goodness what is wrong with the world today?  If you don't have anything nice to say then zip it!

I'm not sure how you can not know what a Ruffian is in this day and age--in the nail world that is, but apparently they hadn't seen one before because they thought it looked like a grown out manicure--of fake nails no less! OIY!

To stick it the man, or in this case, the mean girls over on Lancome's FB page I did a lovely Ruffian to honor my sweet friend Nory!
I chose Pure Ice Alter Ego and Sinful Colors Sugar Rush for my Ruffian.  My fab friend Anissa sent it to and I loved it the minute I saw it!
I wanted a little somethin' somethin' to go with it so I added a little dragonfly decal
I find it a little sad these days it seems so much easier to cut someone down than it does to raise someone up--it's really such a shame.

This is the lovely Ruffian Nory did--I just love it!
Perfectly executed!

I just love a good Ruffian--how about you?

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

You can find inspiration anywhere!

Hi Everyone!!!  Yesterday at work I noticed one of the girls outfits.  She's pregnant and had on a cute turquoise maternity top with a leopard print shrug.  I walked right up and told her how cute she looked and I think it made her SO happy because usually by the end of your pregnancy you are not feeling cute at all.  When I got home I decided to recreate her outfit as a mani.  I've done something like this before copying the fab Kayla Shevonne but in a half moon mani look.  This time I went for the Ruffian and really love it.  In fact I love it so much it might just be my Thanksgiving mani! But we'll see lol!

I started out with China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise and then topped it with Color Club Love Em, Leave Em--which is a nice subtle nude holo.

I'm not one for nudes but I love Love Em, Leave Em!!

I stamped using Sally Hansen Coco A Gogo and BM221.  I love plate BM221, it's a fab animal print plate for sure!

I'm not sure if Allison will be impressed by this mani or not when I show it to her today at work but I surely will thank her for the inspiration for it!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

Roughed Up Ruffian!

Hi Readers!  Today I'm wearing polishes from fab friend Claudia sent me.  I love Claude and wish we didn't have a bazillion miles and oceans separating us.  She is super talented, super sweet, and super funny.  Claude really gets me and knows me so apparently when she was shopping and spotted the names of these polishes she knew they were for me!  Before I show you the colors let me show you their names lol!
Ummmmmmm HELLO are these not perfect for me or what???????
Based on these names what color do you think they are???????
Did you guess right????
They are really gorgeous! Nice 'Naughty is a dark charcoal grey metallic and Nail Him is a gorgeous bright robin's eye blue with shimmer.  I wanted them together and asked Claude what I should do and she said "Ruffian!"  Well we all know how much I love that Ruffian mani so BAM here's what I came up with
Did you see one of my fave images in there??? The chains!!!!!
Since I had the chains on I decided to pull out one of my handcuff bracelets
I just love this mani--it's simple yet edgy and oh so sexy!
Here's the real gem of Claudia's package though--look at the painted rock she made for me!!!!
SHE PAINTED IT BY HAND!!!!!!!  She didn't even know it either but she painted it on snowflake obsidian that she has in her back freaking yard!  Unbelievable!!!

Have you done a Ruffian yet readers?

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Opposites Attract!

Hi Readers!  I'm sure you've heard this one before--opposites attract.  This is something people like to say when they are dating someone and none of their friends can understand why so they say "Oh well!! Opposites attract!"  I'm not really sure about that in love BUT in this mani yes, opposites DO attract!
Remember my jeweled ruffian from couple weeks ago?  I loved it so much I stamped on it??? Well I am still loving the Ruffian mani's so I did another one. This time I took really affordable polishes---LA Color Craze Live--a dollar store polish and WetnWild Craze Nocturnal--a $1.99 polish and turned them into a million bucks!!! Check this out readers!
As you can see after I did the Nocturnal I mattefied it!  I know it looks black here but really Nocturnal is a super dark blue--one coat would have kept it blue I think but I wanted at least 2 coats!  I love the contrast of the shiny metallic and the matte effect!
You can really see the "bling" of Live in the crescent here
I love looking at it like this!
Here it is with flash!
Here are the polishes I used for this mani--LA Colors Live, WetnWild Morbid and Essie's Matte About You
And one more!! Side by Side non flash and flash comparison!
I really love this mani readers!  I'm not sure what I'll do next--will I stamp on it or just do something new???? Stay tuned!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Jeweled Ruffian

Hi Readers!  Today I offer no stamping!  You heard me NO STAMPING!  What is wrong with me, right???  Well this mani is just so pretty no stamping was needed. I'm not going to lie though I did think about it lol!  I had my Illamasqua's out the other day and I thought wow I wonder if I can wear all of these in one mani?  I had seen a mani on Pinterest the other day which led me to this blogger with the neatest ideas and remembered a Ruffian she had done. I felt I could make it work with my Illamasquas.  Check her's out here. Since I only have three Illamasqua's--Viridian, Baptiste and Phallic I felt it was unbalanced so I whipped in my little Sally Girl, Phat.
The mani is simple I just did a different color polish on each nail but doubled up my Baptiste on my thumbs.  I topped them with China Glaze It's My Turn gold holo and hallelujah it's beautiful!
Index is Phallic, Middle is Viridian, Ring is Baptiste and Pinkie is Phat
Here it is with flash!!!  Gore Ore Jus!!
Close Up!!!

All I can say is WOW!  Sometimes no stamping is needed lol!
Here are the polishes I used for this mani

Have you tried one of these Ruffian crescent moon mani's yet readers?  If you haven't you should!  They look so nice.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you all have a fantastic day!
