Fantastic Mr Fox

This week the challenge at Creative Corner is 'Autumn is coming' and is being sponsored by Scribbles Designs. I decided to focus on the changing colour of the leaves at this time and used greens and oranges in my design.
The background paper was printed from Peerless Designs Woodland Treasurese CD ROM and I matted it onto deep orange mirri card before fixing it to a scalloped card blank. The digi image from Scribble Designs was coloured using Promarkers and the backgound dusted with distress ink, although this does not really show up in the photo. I matted this onto the deep orange mirri card which was cut out using a Spellbinders grand scalloped oval.
Finally I cut out some green and deep orange foliage from mirri card using a Tattered Lace die. I fixed two in each corner along with a card candi which I had coloured using Promarkers.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Hedgehog birthday

Over at Creative Corner this week it's 'a little bit'.  We all have those little bits and bobs laying around our scrap spaces...a few little pieces of DP, a bit of ribbon, the odd embellishment.  Our challenge for you this week is to use some of those on your project this week.

Both the digi prints that I used on this card are from Scribbles Designs. The happy birthday digi frame        (free from Scribbles Designs http://scribblesdesignschallenge.blogspot.ca/) has been coloured using Promarkers whereas the hedgehog has been created by paper piecing. I printed the digi on to various scraps of  already printed paper. The whole was matted onto copper mirri card and white card.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:
   Eureka Stamps - animal friends
   Crafty Ribbons - anything goes
Crafty Sentiments Designs - anything goes
Crafting From the Heart - anything goes
   Scribbles Designs - frame it

Hedgehog love

I have a great many peel offs, so I have made use of them on this card. Paper printed from Debbi Moore Designs Valentine Bears CD ROM was matted onto cream card and peel offs were used to edge the paper.
I cut a rectangle from paper which I had printed sometime ago, so cannot remember which CD ROM I used, and stuck this on the card at an angle and edged this with peel offs.
I cut paper printed from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse and Friends triple CD ROM with a Spellbinders grand scalloped oval die and used this as my next layer. This I also edged with peel offs!
The image from Scribbles Designs which I had coloured with Promarkers was shaped and attached with glue gel.
Finally I added card candi and an old heart gem.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Ooh La La Creations - use a heart

Dr. Who?

My family is a big fan of Dr. Who, so when I saw this digi of the police box at Sribbles Designs I could not resist it. It also fitted in with the theme that we have for the Creative Corner challenge this week - your favourite colour combo - as my favourite colour is blue.
The background paper was matted onto blue mirri card and then layered onto white card. The 'stars' had turquoise Stickles applied to them and when these were dry other colours were applied on top.
The police box was coloured using Promarkers. H2O paints were then used on the windows, the light and the roof of the box before attaching it to the card with foam pads.
Finally a phrase used by David Tennant's doctor was added.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:
Lisa B. Designs - all that glitters
   Allsorts - anything but Christmas
Here Come The Boys - anything goes for the boys
Glitter n Sparkle - show us some blue

Down and out

This week’s theme at Creative Corner is ’Sing, sing a song’. I have chosen the alley cat from Scribbles Designs as my image as it reminds me of the James Brown song ‘Down and Out in New York City’. Having coloured it using thirteen different shades of Promarker greys I applied black soot distress ink to the edges.
I matted and layered the squared pattern paper and black mirri card onto white card. A grey denim strip was also matted onto black mirri card before being fixed vertically onto the card. I matted and layered the image onto black mirri card and silver mirri card and then stuck it to the card with foam pads.
I then fixed a sentiment made from peel offs and die cut silver and black mirri card in the top left hand corner, a cascade of bows in the bottom right hand corner  and some card candi onto the central panel.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Incy Wincy Designs – ribbons, twine, fibres
Digi Sketch – all for the animals
   Papertake Weekly – anything goes
   Whoopsi Daisy – monochromatic
Cute Card Thursday – animal magic
Crafty Ribbons – black and white (I hope grey as a mix of black and white counts)

Flower doodle

This week the challenge at Creative Corner is 'The great outdoors' and what better way is there to enjoy the outdoors than by being in the garden.
I began this card by embossing brown core'dinations cardstock using the Darice folder 'flower' and sanding it. I then wrapped some yellow ribbon round the base of it. This was then matted and layered onto orange then yellow core'dinations cardstock and then white card. I made a flower out of the yellow ribbon and a button to which some Stickles was added and this I fixed to the lower right hand side of the card with glue gel.
The digi print 'flowerdoodle1' is from Scribbles Designs who are sponsoring this challenge. I coloured it using Promarkers, matted it onto yellow core'dinations cardstock and attached it to the card using foam pads. Stickles was added to the flower centres.
Finally a die cut 'Happy Birthday' was glue gelled to the upper left hand corner of the card.
