Penguin trio
My son loves penguins, so I hope he appreciates these. I coloured the stamped Penny Black image called 'Carolling penguins' using Promarkers and added Stickles to the snow. I die cut centurar pearl card using the twinkle Tattered Lace die and used it to frame the image which I then matted and layered onto paper from Papermania and white card. I finished the card by attaching six Tattered Lace die cut snowflakes to the inner frame.

Penguin Carollers
I love penguins and when my daughter was at primary she did a project on them and we learnt a great deal about them, but I don't think these cheerful fellows were on the agenda! This image, coloured using Promarkers, is from Penny Black's stamp 'carolling penguins'. having cut it out I lightly dusted the edges with tumble glass distress ink.
I matted the paper printed using a House Mouse CD ROM from Joanna Sheen onto white card and then used silver peel offs around the edges. The peel offs were also used round the edge of the image. Finally I stamped the sentiment, which is from the same set of stamps and added some glitter to the pom pom on the penguins' hat.

Caroling mice
Well I must make a big effort this week and complete making my Christmas cards. The image on this card is from the Penny Black stamp 'caroling trio'. I coloured it using Promarkers and then cut part of it out and matted it onto a starry night designer paper from Wild Rose Studio. I then matted it onto purple mirri card. Lots of glitter was added around the lantern and also on the snow and stars, although I think I might have overdone the light around the lantern.
I wrapped ribbon round some contemporary Christmas paper from Papermania which in turn was wrapped round a DL size card. The stamped topper was then attached to the card. Finally a bow and a glittered stamped sentiment were added.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Penny Black Saturday - sparklers
The Cutie Pie - cute scenes and backgrounds (the topper)
Creative Craft 2 - non traditional Christmas colours
Winter Wonderland - a Christmas mouse
Lisa B Designs - all that glitters

The Squirrel and the Fox - summer or winter
Scrapbook Stamp Society - anything goes + optional use of glitter

Caroling Penguins
My son is a fan of penguins, so this is a card for him.
Green music paper from Kaisercraft was matted onto yellow core'dination cardstock and fixed to the base white card. A strip of postage stamps pattern paper, again from Kaisercraft, was also matted onto yellow core'dination cardstock and then fixed to the card. Red peel off stars were stuck onto white card candi which were then glue to the bottom of this strip.
The main image, from the Penny Black stamp 'caroling penguins', was coloured using Promarkers and cut out using a Spellbinder postage stamp die. Distress ink was applied to the top part of the image before it was removed from the die. After fixing to the card I added frostings to the hats and glitter to the snow.
Finally a red peel off greeting was added.
I wish to enter this card into the following challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas - use 3 main colours (red, yellow, green)
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra - anything as long as it's Christmas
Eureka Stamps - wings and things
Digi Sketch - for the boys

Digi Design - show off those colouring skills
