Runner
The theme for the challenge beginning today at Crafty Cardmakers is birthdays.
I used a cream card for the base of my design. The person I made this card for loves running on the beach so I created the scene by using the digi called Kimberly jogging from Make It Crafty and combining it with a beach picture. I coloured Kimberly using Promarkers and fussy cut the front leg.
Using the monumental moments die from Tattered Lace I cut LOVE from core'dinations cardstock. Using two oval dies I cut a frame for the O. I then placed the scene behind this, but brought the cut leg to the fore of the die. This was then attached to the base card. I die cut With from core'dinations cardstock and attached this to the card.
Using the Tattered Lace die Ditsy Clematis I cut three from white card and coloured them using Promarkers. Cutting into them, I placed pieces in various positions about the card and added Stickles to the flower centres.
Finally using letters from Tattered Lace's vertical sentiments dies I created the phrase happy birthday Alison around the upper half of the O.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Noel
One more addition to my cards in readiness for Christmas. I matted the deep red snowflake design paper onto white card and outlined it with gold peel off. I then cut the letters from another piece of design paper and glued them to the left hand side of the card, afterwhich I added some glitter to the letters. I have had the papers in my stash for some time but I believe I printed them using a CD ROM from Debbi Moore Designs.
The cute litle fairy from Make It Crafty is called Fairy Twinkles. I coloured her using Promarkers, cut her out and added glitter to the wings, before shaping slightly and attaching her to the card using glue gel.
Finally I used the Tattered Lace die Florentine bells to create the gold mirri card bells. I tied narrow ribbon through the top of them, made a bow and glued it to the centre of the card.

Adventurer
This week the theme for the Crafty Cardmakers and More challenge is 'for a man or boy' and have made a birthday card for the husband of one of my nieces. I have chosen to use part of a digi image from Make It Crafty called 'Family-adventure-boy'. I coloured it using Promarkers and distress inks and matted it onto brown core'dinations cardstock.
The yellow design paper is from a paper pack which came from an old magazine and this I matted and layered onto brown core'dinations cardstock and white card. I attached a different strip of paper from the same pack to the lower part of the card and bordered it with gold waste peel off.
From this latter paper I cut the sentiment using Tattered Lace dies and glued them to brown cardstock. I then outlined these using gold peel offs and attached them to the card using foam pads. Lastly I coloured some card candi and glued these to the bottom right hand corner of the card.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Building with dad
The theme for the new challenge starting today at Creative Corner is 'Just for Dad'.
I while ago I printed some brickwork paper but the printer was low on inks and so it printed the bricks with a very pink hue. Rather than throw the paper away I dusted it with pumice stone distress ink and used it as the background for this card, matting and layering it onto black and then white card.
The digi image I used is from Make It Crafty and is called building blocks with dad. I coloured it using Promarkers, dusted the edges using distress inks and matted it onto black card.
The sentiment was cut from core'dinations cardstock using Tattered Lace dies.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Looking Fabulous
Make It Crafty has a design call going on at the moment (until April 12) for a new CAS design team.
They have some lovely stamps, both rubber and digital. For my card today I combined two of their digital stamps - dandelions and Kimberly-hula-hoop - and printed it out on Neenah card.
I coloured Kimberly using Promarkers and used the following colours:
Skin - oatmeal, blush, dusky pink, vanilla
Hair - cocoa, cinnamon, tan
Eyes - china blue
Clothes - china blue, denim blue, powder blue, pastel blue
Shoes - cool greys 4 and 5
Hoop - cardinal red, berry red, poppy
I coloured the dandelions and grass using Spectrum Noir pecils with the following colours:
Grass - 045, 046, 048, 056, 057
Flower heads - 003, 015, 020, 068, 112
I also added 095 to the hair to enhance the darker brown colour.
Having completed the colouring I cut the card to form a 139 cm sided square and using the Good Hair Day set of Tatty Twinkles stamps added the sentiment. I then matted this onto a 142 cm sided black card square before attaching it to a 6 inch by 6 inch square card blank.
Here is the finished card:

A new home
I coloured this digi stamp called 'Mushroom house' from Make It Crafty using Promarkers. I chose greens, yellows and oranges to mirror the colour of daffodils that are out at the moment as I thought this appropriate for the person who is moving in the next few months. I then matted it onto a square base card. I coloured thin strips of silver peel off using permenant marker pens and outlined the image with them. I also used the same marker pen to colour the peel off sentiment.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Carly in the spotlight
The digi I used here is called 'Carly celebrates' and is from Make It Crafty. Having printed it out I lightly, in pencil, drew an oval where I thought the spotlight might fall and then two straight lines from the widest points of the oval to meet above Carly's head. I then coloured it using Spectrum Noir pens and cut it out using a Sellbinders labels 8 die. I cut black card using a Spellbinders decorative labels 8 die and matted the image onto this.
The background paper is from Papermania and I cut a rectangle from this so that when attached to the blank white card base Happy Birthday would be positioned under the matted image. I framed this paper with narrow peel off which I had coloured using permenant markers.

Gnome is where the heart is
I can remember as a child walking past a garden in which there was a gnome fishing in a little pond and this is what started my love of gnomes.
On this card the gnome is a digi stamp from Make It Crafty called 'gnomey-drew' and I have coloured him using Promarkers. The image behind him is another digi from the same company: this time a cropped digi called 'mushroom house'. I faded out the edges of it and coloured it using Dewent coloursoft pencils.

Believe
Iam not very good at running but I do enjoy being active so I can relate to the sentiment I have used on this card.
The card was designed by combining various digital images. The background is from My Craft Studio's Setting the Scene CD ROM and the sentiment is from their Papercraft library volume 2. The runner is a Make It Crafty digi called 'kimberley - jogging'. I reduced the second runner in size and also rotated it a little.
I coloured the background using Spectrum Noir pens and the figures I coloured using Promarkers because I felt this way I would obtain a greater contrast between the background and the figures.

Life's in the balance
The Make It Crafty digital image I have used on this card is called 'kimberly-weigh-scales' and I coloured it using Promarkers. The sentiment was one I found on a My Craft Studio CD ROM.
Before attaching the design to a white base card I inked the edges using aPromarker pen.
I hope my sister enjoys the humour.

Senior love
The challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and More this time has the theme love. I thought what better than the love between two of the older generation and made this anniversary card.
The image called 'Flirty Seniors' is from Make it Crafty. I stamped it onto watercolour card but coloured it using Promarkers. It wasn't so easy to blend the inks as on the usual card that I use but it seemed to work as long as I was careful at the edges of each section. I then matted it onto black core'dinations cardstock, wrapped ribbon round two corners and then matted onto cream card. The words were cut from deep red core'dinatios cardstock using tattered Lace dies.

Never too old for love
I could not resist this old gentleman and I thought it would make a good Valentine card for the older generation! The stamp is 'Old Calvins flower surprise' from Make It Crafty and after stamping it onto watercolour card I coloured it using Derwent watercolour pencils. I then matted it onto black card. The background papers are green card and red Bazzill Basics paper and the sentiment was cut using Tattered Lace dies.

Elf snowman
This began by merging and editing two images from Make It Crafty. The two images were 'family adventure and snowelf'. I coloured it using Promarkers, a silver gel pen and a little bit of glitter. I also added glossy accents to the buttons. I framed it with centura pearl card cut out using the Tattered Lace die krystal, gluing the reverse so that the die cuts did not fall out. I then matted and layered it onto some paper embossed with a silver design, silver mirri and white card.
I wish to enter this into the following challenges:

Scruffy balancing on a bauble
I began by attaching two lengths of ribbon to paper printed using Joanna Sheen's triple House Mouse CD ROM. these were to form the ribbon from which the baubles were to hang. I then matted and layered this onto green mirri and white card.
I die cut two waste pieces of centura pearl using a Marianne Creatables die and matted each onto a circle of red mirri card and glued them so that they hung at the end of the ribbon lengths.
At the top of one bauble I attached waste foliage,a Tattered Lace die cut cone and a bow. Above the other I glue gelled a jester so that he appeared to balance on the bauble. This was from a digi stamp from Make It Crafty and coloured using Promarkers in less than 15 minuites! Make It Colourful's November challenge is speedy colouring.

Snowelf
This digi image called 'Snowelf' from Make It Crafty makes me think of what my grandsons could get up to. I can just imagine one of the older boys turning one of his younger siblings into a snowball or at least attempting to! I coloured it using Staedtler biros and applied some glitter to the snowman before matting it onto gold card.
The sentiment was stamped using a Penny Black stamp. I then embellished the card with centura pearl card snowflakes which had been cut using Tattered Lace dies. I stuck pearls in the centre of largest flakes and mini gem stones in the centre of the smallest flakes.

Birthday presents
Lots of die cutting on this birthday card. I began by matting and layering yellow core'dinations and brown core'dinations cardstock onto cream card.
The top band is brown core'dination cardstock with a border cut using a die from the Spellbinders ric rac set. The letters for the sentiment were cut from yellow core'dinations cardstock using Tattered Lace elegant alphabet dies.
The lower band is again brown core'dinations cardstock to which I attached two borders from yellow core'dinations. These were created using the Tattered Lace victorian rectangle die. I then wrapped a double layer of yellow ribbon round the centre of the band before attaching it to the card. I then made a double bow and glued this to the centre of the ribbon strip.
The central digi image from Make It Crafty called 'small gifts' was coloured using Spectrum Noirs and edged with distress inks. I then matted it onto brown core'dinations cardstock.

Elves
These elves appealed to my sense of humour, I just could not resist buying this digi called crackered-elf from Make It Crafty when I saw it. I coloured it using Promarkers and a gold gel pen and then cut it out. The background paper was created using My Craft Studio and I matted and layered it onto green mirri card and white card. I then attached the elves using glue gel having shaped the image slightly. I finished the card with a peel off greeting.

Surfer dad
This is a freebie digi stamp for those who subscribe to Make It Crafty. I coloured it using Promarkers to match the designer papers that I had and then cut it out using a Spellbinders label eight die. I then shaded the background getting lighter from left to right using distress ink in an attempt to give the impression that the dad was walking from inside to outside, but I don't think it has quite worked. I'll have to have another go sometime.
The 'bubble' paper was printed using La Pashe's 'something for everyone' CD ROM and the flowery paper was printed from a Crafter's Companion CD ROM. Both were matted onto black mirri card. The sentiment was a take on a famous advert.
