*~* SIMPLE STYLE BEDROOM MAKE-OVER*~*

*~* SIMPLE STYLE BEDROOM MAKE-OVER *~*

After looking at lots of bedroom pics and son number 1 giving me the spec he wanted.. A definate no no for anything too old looking.. We cleared the very small 9'X8' room totally and painted the walls with Farrow and Ball paint.. Dovetail is the colour which is a soft subtle grey.. His new black cast bed was built and the bedding adding.. Layered black and grey with a pop of red.. Next he needed a work area for computing and study.. I had an old door which was from the barn before the conversion years ago and suggested adding black metal legs a vintage style lamp and retro red stool.. Perfect was the reply from son number 1.. The poster we thought would add colour too and stop it becoming to monochrome.. His window is tiny too so a simple blind was all that was needed and I couldn't resist popping one of my handcrafted Old Look Pull-toy Elephants on the sill.. Lastly at the bottom of the bed he needed his entertainment system in place.. We added a couple of red retro clocks to continue the red pops here and there.. He is truly thrilled with how it turned out and his clothes and shoes are all stored under the bed in pull out boxes..

I do hope you have enjoyed our make-over journey with a very simple slighty industrial and very inventive use of space style LOL..

Thank you for stopping by my blog.. *~*blessings*~*

*ROOM MAKE-OVER PLANNING*

*~*ROOM MAKE-OVER PLANNING*~*

As the days get longer and Spring approaches I feel the need for a spot of decorating.. My oldest son now a tall young man has out grown his currant bedroom decor.. It is going to be a whole new overhaul.. Out with the old and in with the new.. He has quite firmly told me he does not want primitive style and old stuff in there but well I am sure the odd vintage item will sit nicely with the design board I have created.. When I showed him the board I got the raised eyebrow and no words and in my book that is a good sign..

The room is very small so lots of thought will have to go into it as he needs a work station for his computer and studies along with storage for clothing etc and not forgetting entertainment and gaming.. Phew alot to consider.. He has already chosen his bed a black metal one with simple design now ordered and he wants a grey colour on the walls.. Thats enough input from him I think.. Here is my design board tell me what you think..

Love the side lamp..
Wall colour and work station look good in this one..
The clocks a must..
Like the wood here but not sure about the curve..
Love this..

Only a week here in the U.K until half-term break when we will be doing the make-over so I will have to get cracking and get some shopping done for this project.. *~*bessings*~*

A FRESH NEW LOOK

*~* A FRESH NEW LOOK*~*

In rediness for the start of the New Year when I took down my Christmas decorations I made the big decision to have a big declutter and only put out the things I truly loved.. I must say since I took these pics there are a few changes made already LOL.. I love the simple white farmhouse look with the added nuturals and lots of fabric texture..

THE KITCHEN :

THE SNUG :
THE DINING ROOM :
THE MASTER BEDROOM :
WINTER ON THE VERANDER :
A LITTLE BIT OF SPRING :
I hope you have enjoyed my simple home tour and I will do the most recent updated pics soon.. I am still as busy as ever working my day job and also still designing and making my Attic Bears which is what I love to do most of all along with caring for my family and having fun with them.. I think God gave me such a busy life to keep me out of mischief LOL.. This year I made no rash resolutions out loud but quitely to myself I plan to design more of my patterns including some Attic Bear designs and also if I buy something new for my home I must let another item go (very hard for me ).. After my big declutter I bravely had the items taken away to an Antique shop and then to auction which will be held at the end of February.. Exciting stuff and I hope to attend too.. Sitting firmly on my hands LOL..
I also have a giveaway on the horizon so pop back soon.. *~* Blessings*~*

VERANDA ALL FINISHED

*~* THE VERANDA ALL FINISHED*~*

In the five year plan my hubby had for our home a Veranda was well up on the list along with some other changes he wanted to do.. So after a large project he completed on the main part of the house last year he took pencil to paper at Easter and sketched a few ideas down.. He quickly got underway and dug the foundations..

This is the frame up and first stage of the roof.. The windows and slates came next
The floor and baulistrad came next..
Fun part for me now.. Dressing this wonderful space..

We wanted a swinging seat and so hubby once again had to design and make one.. It is simply perfect

I had to share this.. In the old barn there was some old horse irons and we made this great hanging candle light.. So pretty at night..
This is the most wonderful place to sit in the garden we all just love it and have sat here every evening this summer.. Glad you have stopped by..

Please feel free to leave a comment I love to read them..
