Feb 24th Monday Update

Let's see what I worked on last week. I was working on finishing up my February Plans...

Monday - Beer Dragon by Paine Free Crafts. Monday is always my busy catch up computer work day and now with Flosstube filming and editing. So 63 added to Beer Dragon was good enough...

Tuesday - The Pirate by Cottage Garden. Added 500 to this fun piece...

Wednesday - Mason Jar Lineup a Dimensions Kit. Working on the 3rd jar now. Added 400 to finish off a monthly goal...

Thursday worked on two pieces. Peppermint Purple SAL for 2025 I added week 7 and 8...

Then Enchanted Pumpkin a Mill Hill kit. 200 added...

Friday - Heart & Compass by Erica Michaels. 650 added. Finished the motifs and started the filling in the background...

Saturday was time for a new start. I finally found the fabric at Always in Stitches in Noblesville Indiana. We ran down Saturday. Fred helped me pick out the fabric which was a gorgeous 40ct Prairie Land from Atomic Ranch it's a linen. I think the goose will really pop. So when I got home I got started on this beauty. 300 added Saturday and then Sunday was lovely and lazy so 700 added. So here is my first 1k in Trust the Universe by The Sunflower Diairies...

This beautiful Mill Hill kit followed me out of the store as well...

It's called Honey Bee. So cute.

Flosstube #5 is being loaded now, if you subscribe to the channel you will know when it loads.

Have a wonderful new week. I'm trying to finish those last few February goals and finish making March plans.

Jan 27th Monday Update / WIPocalypse

I was having fun stitching yesterday so missed the official WIPocalypse check in. Last Sunday of the month. So I will combine it with my normal Monday update.

Last week of Brringo in Monthly Magazine Challenge FB group. They just announced they are going to do another month long event in April I think. I'm so happy because I had so much fun with Brringo and Sept is too long to wait for when they do ABCingo. Anyway let's see what I worked on each day.

Monday prompt From a Magazine. I worked on Mother Nature: Winter. Added 213. She also worked for a pop up challenge in WIP Warriors. She was classified as my Fancy Lady. I needed 500 on her.

Tuesday prompt Inspired by your Pet. First up added 287 more to Mother Nature. Then 307 on Canine Quotes by The Scarlett House.

Wednesday prompt You Would Take on Vacation. I love taking Mill Hill kits because you don't need to take a Q-Snap. So I worked on Christmas Lantern. I also got out the Peppermint Purple SAL to add Week 3 and 4. 107 on the lantern. 267 to the SAL.

Thursday prompt Part of a Series. When I think of Winter from Puntini Puntini came back out for 519.

Friday prompt Inspired by Zodiac. I am a Taurus and also an Earth element. So I used Yggdrasil because trees are definitely an earth item. I also used it for the WIP Warriors challenge for my Largest WIP. It definitely qualifies for that. My needles refused to make good progress which tends to happen with this WIP the first day I work on it. A lot of confetti stitching and it seems to take me awhile to adjust to the rhythm. So 110 added.

Saturday prompt Something Fantasy. Yggdrasil worked for it too because it's a lot of fantasy based theories. My needles were ready today...390 added so my 500 goal was met. I am also really happy because I added 900 to this beauty this month overall. If I ever want to finish it I need to work a lot more haha.

Sunday I picked up my Winter SAL from Stitchonomy because I'm close to finished with it. Added 647 on a lovely lazy day.

Fred had a radio event this weekend. It was winter field day in his amateur radio club. He broadcast right from our deck and had a great time. Started 11 Saturday until 5 Sunday. He ended up with 109 contacts from all over the US. So that meant a lot of stitching time for me which is always nice haha. Jeremiah gamed of course. He is finally cough free. About time!!

Okay WIPocalypse. I guess I forgot to do my intro even. Oh well you know me haha. I like to use this SAL as an excuse to keep track of my monthly progress. So let's enjoy a look back since last update which was Dec 29th.

Peppermint Purple SAL -- 3 Days. I finished up the outline and go started on the weekly sections. I'm adding them every 2 weeks right now. So I'm up to date currently...

Creepy Christmas Village by Lola Crow -- 1 Day Still working on the Creepy Christmas Tree but close to finishing it up...

Mother Nature: Winter from Just Cross Stitch Magazine -- 4 Days into her now. I am so in love with her and the 40ct fabric again. She just looks so delicate and beautiful. I had to backstitch her face to admire her while stitching...

Along the Nesting Boxes by Jardin Prive -- 5 Days. Finished the January section. I will be adding 2 fence posts a month to this one and the pretties in the middle of course. So here is the January section...

Yggdrasil by Paine Free Crafts -- 4 Days Here is my current progress on this beauty before and after...

Heart & Compass by Erica Michaels -- 2 Days My favorite designer of course had to be worked on a little bit...

Winter SAL by Stitchonomy -- 2 Days So close to finished....maybe after I get done with my computer work...

Irish Blessing from Herrschners -- 1 Day This one is very close to finished too. Maybe in February?

Mason Jar Lineup by Dimensions -- 2 Days Still just love this fabric. Finished the first two jars and moved to the 3rd flower...

The Mandalorian -- 1 Day Finished the words and moved to Mando...

Luck of the Irish by Primrose Cottage -- 1 Day My first 2025 finish

Christmas Lantern a Mill Hill Kit -- 2 Days on this new start...

Beer Dragon by Paine Free Crafts -- 1 Day to hit my 500 monthly goal...

Noel Chez Les Gnomes "Christmas Among the Gnomes" by Jardin Prive -- 1 Day...

Winter Quaker by Primrose Cottage -- 1 Day Got a quick start on this one for Brringo...

Grow Together by Heaven and Earth Designs -- 3 Days. This one also answers the WIPocalypse question. As of the WIPs in my Tote right now this is the oldest. I started it in Dec 2013. I unkitted it and put it away for years though. Now it's back out and in my WIP tote. I might have some older hidden away.

Canine Quotes by The Scarlett House -- 1 Day on this cutie...

When I think of Winter by Puntini Puntini -- 1 Day I want this one finished by March 1st so it will be out to play soon. This half is done...

So I've had fun and this and that haha. As always. Wonder what I will work on by the next time?! I've setup up my February challenges but there are always things that seem to scream loud for attention. I just have to pay attention to quiet them down. I hear some screaming now. Off to finish up my computer work.

Jan 20th Monday Update

Brr from cold cold Indiana. Right now actual temp is 0 feels like -9 with the wind chill. We are under a Cold Weather Advisory till Wednesday when we might make it to 20s. So a lot of stitching going on. Even Spike would rather be inside under a blanket. So let's see what stitching I got done last week with my warm needles haha.

Still doing Brringo in Monthly Magazine Challenge group. So a prompt each day to work around.

Monday -- Prompt Non US Designer. I looked it up and Mother Nature: Winter was designed by Stitchora which is from Abu Dhabi interestingly enough so I added 200 to her. I fall more and more in love with her every stitch...

Tuesday -- Prompt Relates to your name. So I celebrated my Irish heritage and pulled out Luck of the Irish by Primrose which I was close to a finish on. Added 454 and was able to finish it...

My first 2025 finish. Wohoo! Will be adding information to my 2025 Finishes Page. In honor of my first finish I decided to start a new Mill Hill kit...

Christmas Lantern. Added 302 to it...

Wednesday - Prompt Length of your Favorite Movie. That answer changes every other few minutes haha. I picked Moulin Rouge because it stays my favorite a lot of times. I love a great musical and ohhh the music in that one. The length was 2 hours 7 minutes. I overachieved and hit 571 which also met my monthly goal...

Thursday - Prompt was a fun one. Roll a dice and stitch that many motifs or elements on the design of your choice. Jeremiah rolled a 3 which was a nice middle number thanks bub haha. I pulled out Noel Gnomes by Jardin Prive because it was easy to see the motifs added. I finished the little mushroom house. Added the Christmas Tree, two snowflakes, and a start on the next little motif with the presents before bedtime. 760 total added...

Friday - Prompt Monochromatic. That's perfect for Primrose Cottage Quaker's and I have 4 on my goal list for the year so started Winter Quaker...

I'm using a DMC variegated 93. I got the 100 needed for the Brringo challenge and then put it away for now. I really wanted to see if I could complete a goal for another challenge. I needed 500 added to my Oldest WIP which is Grow Together HAED. Sometimes the confetti makes it go really slow so I didn't know if it would work or not. Luckily it was International Hermit Stitch Weekend. We did run out Saturday to grab groceries but I hurried haha.

So 63 Friday. 137 Saturday. 330 Sunday hit 530 total. Wohoo!

Saturday prompt worked because it was Will Be Gifted and Grow Together will go to my son when it's finished. Sunday prompt was Someone Chooses for you and Jeremiah said You're close to the goal mom Go Go.

A lot of confetti haha. Here is my Brringo board now...

This has definitely been a fun challenge. I didn't join in last year since I had just joined the group and I've sure enjoyed playing along. They do another one in September with letters so it's ABCingo. Instead of prompts you put letters and pick a project to match the letter. It's fun as well. I do seem to enjoy a prompt challenge though most the time.

Poor Jeremiah still has the ick it just won't leave him alone. He is a lot lot better though. So hopefully soon. Fred and me are fine now. Luckily Fred only had a little version of this whatever it was.

Okay I'm off to stitch and stay warm haha. Only planned thing is to run quickly and do laundry tonight. Brr but it won't wait for warmer weather so we must do it.

Dec 30th Update

So Christmas time won over computer time. But I'm back. Let's see what I've been up to...

Last Monday update I was working on the Mystery Advent SAL that I stumbled onto on Facebook. I finished that beautiful piece for finish #34 ** Have 4 extra this way because for instance Peppermint Sleds is 3 diff designs in the same pattern. Also like Patriotic Gnome Littles it really 6 individual designs yet 1 overall pattern. **

I really love how it turned out on the black fabric with that beautiful Caron Waterlily thread.

I worked on Christmas Truck...

Lady Liberty got to play for a day...

Beer Dragon got his 500 monthly...

Two new starts...

When I think of Winter from Puntini Puntini didn't get started on the 21st for the first day of winter because we were busy but on the 26th...

Also Peppermint Purple 2025 Blackwork SAL. I finally joined one of these SALs. I decided to get the border ready for the weekly sections. Took me 3 days but it's done now...

I did get some cross stitch for Christmas goodies but not as much as normal because I already have too much haha.

Christmas Lantern Mill Hill Kit

Seasonal Samplings from Primrose Cottage. I only see Winter and Spring available right now.

A Type of Christmas from Erin Elizabeth has been on my wishlist for a long time.

Conjuring Winter by Lola Crow traveled along because it's too cute. I got some threads I needed for upcoming starts and some more plastic bobbins. I also received a giveaway from a Floss Tube video I follow...

A fun Tatty Teddy calendar with 6 patterns. Plus Trust the Universe from The Sunflower Diaries. I just love Trust the Universe and already have it planned for 2025.

I organized my WIP tote and have a wonderful 60. Yes I had to add 3 more plans to make it the rounded 60 but whatever excuse I need haha. Pop over to my WIP Tote tab to check it out. I'm off to enjoy bringing in the new years. Have a great one. Just plans to celebrate with my stitching and jammies haha. Let's see what we can do in 2025!!
