When I first saw this Sketch challenge I was thinking, wow, that's really busy. I wasn't sure where I was going to start, but I knew I wanted to use my 'Afternoon Tea' DP (love this paper). After much thought I pulled out 'Bloom with Love' (another favorite) and my blender pen.

Bronc Buster

I thought I would play around with my Bronc Buster set again for this week's sketch challenge over at SCS. I'm also using this week's color challenge for this card.

This was a pretty quick card to make but my first attempt looked kind of blah. I didn't have enough room to add a sentiment on the front, so I added the photo corners to the left side. I think it helped with the open space, what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies Used: Stamps~ Bronc Buster.
Paper~ Chocolate Chip, Really Rust & Sahara Sand, Outlaw DP.
Ink~ Chocolate Chip.
Accessories~ Hodgepodge Hardware, Ticket Punch, Photo Punch, Paper Piercer, Sponge.

Sketch Challenge

This week's sketch challenge #136 over at SCS was a diffent one! I wasn't sure if I was going to do it but the more ideas I saw the more I wanted to give it a try!

This is what I came up with. I'm not sure that I like it, I feel that it may be to busy with the two different DP's I used. What do you think?

When doing the butterfly, I stamped the image onto Whisper white cs than trimmed around it and set aside. I than stamped the image onto a piece of vellum using Groovy Guava, I poured the crystal clear embossing powder over the top right away so the ink would not dry before I had the chance to emboss it. I then cut out just the wings and attached to the other design with two mini glue dots (I love those glue dots). This gives it the 3D look.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Supplies Used: Stamps~ Garden Whimsy.

Paper~ Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, Darling Doodles DP, Whisper White cs, Vellum.

Ink~ Wild Wasabi, Groovy Guava.

Accessories~ Wild Wasabi stitched ribbon, silver brads, white gel pen, ticket punch, key tag punch, lg oval punch, scallop circle punch & 1 3/8" circle punch (that's alot of punches).

Sketch Challenge

This is my card for this week's sketch challenge #135 over at SCS. Another square card, sorry but I love the square card!

This card measures 5x5 when folded. I layered a piece of Brocade DP over the Vintage Violet (retired In Color). I then added photo corners punched out in Vintage Violet to the two opposite corners and added three vintage brads to each. I than added a piece of old olive wide organdy ribbon to the top layer.

The oval design was made by using my Coluzzle cutting system after I stamped the design on Whisper White CS.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Combined Challenge!

I decided to combine this week's SCS color challenge & sketch challenge in one.

The color challenge for this week was to use Elegant Eggplant, Certainly Celery & Ruby Red (yes, I said Ruby Red). I wasn't sure how to get these three colors to work at first (especially the Ruby Red), but I finally decided to use the Ruby Red in the center of the flowers. I think it actually turned out ok.

For the sketch challenge, I decided to move the center band down towards the bottom of the card instead of in the middle.

Thanks for Stopping by today!

Ink~ Elegant Eggplant, Certainly Celery, Ruby Red, Bashful Blue, White Craft Pad. Accessories~ Moss Gigham Ribbon, Silver Brads, Dimentionals, Sponge Dauber. All Products used are Stampin' Up! unless noted otherwise.

Sketch Challenge

I have two cards for Wednesday's Sketch
Challenge #125. This card is using one of my favorite stamp sets, 'Shore Thing' I love those little birds in this set. I have used them in many designs! I'm hoping this set will be in the new Stampin' Up! catalog in July!
Not sure if you can see it or not but I stamped the sun in the upper right corner with VersaMark, and sponged the blue sky & brown sand on the bird image.

Supplies Used: Stamps~ Shore Thing.
Paper~ Kraft CS, Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Spring Showers DP.
Ink~ Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Bashful Blue, VersaMark.
Accessories~ Vintage Brads, Sponge Daubers.

This card's design panel is a little larger than it was suppose to be for the challenge, but I like the way it turned out and wanted to share it with you anyway. The set I used for this card is on the retired list, it is called 'Going Out in Style'. I think this set is such a fun design, you can used it so many ways. I am not a hat gal myself, I look goofy in hats, but I like to stamp using them!
When stamping the squares, I first stamped off on a scrap then stamped the image onto my Whisper White. That way the color was a little softer and not so dark.
Supplies Used: Stamps~ Going Out In Style Little Shapes, Simple Saying II.
Paper~ Tempting Turquoise, 'Sweet' DP, Whisper White, Basic Black.
Ink~ Basic Black, Lovely Lilac, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink.
