U is for..........Under The Weather ABC Challenge

Good morning folks,
This is just a quick post as I am still enjoying birthday celebrations but there was no way I could miss the next fab challenge over at ABC. Theme theme was chosen by our fabulous leader Julie and she chose 'Under The Weather'
I have used a scrummy Tilda who is sheltering under her brolly from the rain. The sentiment reads "Sorry You're Feeling Under The Weather" and I printed it then stamped the cute Magnolia cloud over the top.

I haven't made a napkin fold card for ages so thought I'd give it another try. I have coloured Tilda using my trusty Promarkers and finished with my Prisma's. I have distressed the edges with Tumbled Glass DI and added loads of Star Dust Stickles for sparkle.
I hope you like it and I look forward to seeing your gorgeous entries over at ABC.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Totally Gorjuss - #142 'Pearls'

Let's Go Fly a Kite.......

Morning folks,
I hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine as most of us here in the UK have, although I think we deserved some after all the torrential rain we have endured for sooo long.
Anyway, can u believe it's already time for another challenge over at Totally Tilda . The theme this time is 'Summer Fun Tilda' so loads of scope there, just remember you do need to include a Tilda on your project. Also we have a fab prize up for grabs as we are sponsered by the wonderful Crafty Ribbons.
I used one of my favourite Tilda's for this and had fun with the kite design which I got a little carried away with (the kite is properly strung and knotted with bakers twine!), however I think flight may be impeded by the weight of the flowers.
I chose to stamp Tilda onto kraft and coloured with my Prisma Pencils for a softer look than markers. The fab and fun DP's are from the Hopscotch collection by Basic Grey. The sentiment is LOTV and the Summer Fun letters are from the Vintage Market Sizzix die by Tim Holtz.
All papers have been faux stitched and distressed with Frayed Burlap DI.

Okay well I think that's everything but don't forget to check out the challenge and play along.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Just Magnolia - #167 'In The Country'
Tilda's Town - #11 'Name Your Technique' (Colouring on Kraft and Faux Stitching)

Bye for now
Happy crafting!

R is for.........Romance ABC Challenge

Morning folks,
It's time once again for another fabulous challenge over at ABC and we are up to the letter 'R' so the lovely Lin has chosen the theme 'R is for Romance'. So we want to see your take on a romantic theme whatever that may be. We are kindly sponsored this time by the lovely Lacey at Stamp and Create so well worth an entry.
My card is based on a Christmas card I made a couple of years ago as I was asked to create an anniversary card in black and ivory to match the wedding theme.

This doesn't really reflect my current style as it is a little precise but I think the recipient will like it (fingers crossed!) The gorgeous DP's are from the Paris Nights collection from GCD. The beautiful frame die is Marianne D. I coloured with my trusty Promarkers and added a little gold stickles to the brides roses.
Anyway, hope you like it. I am now off to pack the shop up as I am exhibiting at a papercraft show in Bury St Edmonds on Sunday so if any of you are venturing to the show come and say hi!

Big Hugs

Pretty Pink Princess Tilda

Hi folks,
Firstly a big thanks to everyone that came along to the shop yesterday for my first big event. We all had a fantastic time and learnt lots of crafty tips and techniques from the very talented John Glossop aka Mr Messy.
Now onto todays fab new challenge over at Totally Tilda and this time we want to see any Princess Tilda in Pink. We are sponsored this time by the fabulous Crafty Ribbons so why not give it a go.

We are sponsored this time by the fabulous Crafty Ribbons so why not give it a go as they are giving away a fab prize like this one:

I have chosen to use the beautiful Princess Tilda from the 2010 Fairy Tale Collection. I used crystal gems to give her a proper blingy tiara. The gorgeous castle is from the 2012 Princes and Princesses Collection and I so wanted to try colouring it in a really girly way, hope it works!
The DP's are from a really old Papermania collection and the beautiful sentiment is of course LOTV.

Little close up of the beautiful Princess Tilda
As always I coloured with my trusty Promarkers. Iadded faux stitching to most DP layers and everything is edged with Pumice Stone DI.

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

O is for..........Orange at ABC

Good morning folks,
Well it's time once again for another fantastic challenge over at ABC and already we are up to the letter O, and this time the lovely Julie has chosen the colour Orange. I must admit that I feel pretty much the same way about orange as I do yellow (it scares me!). Anyway I have given it my best shot, and actually I really enjoyed the challenge, if the truth be known I got a bit carried away.
I haven't made a book box card for years but they seem to be popping up everywhere so I thought I'd give it another try. There are loads of tutorials out there including one in the Magnolia Ink mag so why not have a go.

I chose to use the beautiful Tilda with Ballet Shoes from the 2012 Princes and Princesses Collection as well as Pink Tilda Ice/Ballet Princess and her shoes from the 2008 Pink Collection. I wanted a softer look for this little cutie so I used Desert Sand Memento instead of my regular black. Once again I coloured with my trusty Promarkers and Prisma Pencils
The gorgeous DP's are from the Boho Chic collection from First Edition.

I used some beautiful ruched lace to frame my oval and added pearls to just about everything. All edges were distressed with Pumice Stone DI and then topped with Diamond Stickles. I also used my 2 fave Memory Box dies, Elegant Scroll and the fabulous Catalina Wreath. I hand pricked most edges to create a faux stitch line for more detail.

I chose to fill much of the box cavity with some more gorgeous flowers and the fab sentiment is from the new Papermania Wellington collection.

I am entering this project into the following challenges:
Just Magnolia - #154 'Button's and Bows'
Magnolia Mania - #45 'Bingo' I chose Distressing, Lace and Tilda

Tilda in Stitches for Totally Tilda

Arghh! what has happened to Blogger?

Really not liking this new layout why on earth did someone feel that these new changes would improve blogger. Hey ho, guess lil ol me is not gonna get it changed back but really not a happy bunny.
Anyway I will now climb down off my enormous soapbox just in time to tell you about the fab new challenge over at Totally Tilda. It's a super easy challenge we just want to see some form of stitching on your Tilda project.

I have made this little recipe book packed full of lovely Tilda's and each page has 2 pockets filled with recipe cards. I hand pricked faux stitch lines around the edges of all the recipe cards and each page has hand drawn stitch lines.
Once again I coloured all my images with my trusty Promarkers and generally just had great fun making this little project. A very clean look for me this time as I felt flowers and too much embellishment didn't really work if you wanted to use this as a practical item.
Anyway hope you like my little project, I'll be back soon to share some more ideas with you.
I am entering this into the following challenge:
MDUC -#143 'Anything But a Card'

I hope to see your fab creations over at Totally Tilda.

Happy Birthday to Tilda!!

Good morning all,
Well a very Happy Easter to you and yours, I hope you have a lovely day filled with family, friends and chocolate!!
Today it's time for another fab challenge over at Totally Tilda and this time it couldn't be easier we want to see your Birthday Tilda creations. This fortnight we are sponsored by the lovely mum and daughter duo at Crimson Cloud so well worth an entry.
So onto my design, I decided to get a little patriotic and teamed the fab King Tilda with the gorgeous Portobello Road stamps from Papermania.
I coloured my image with my Prisma's on kraft card which I am really loving at the moment. I think I need a bit more work on my shading but it's getting there. Everything has been distressed with Frayed Burlap DI.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Just Magnolia - #151 'Anything Goes'
Simon Says - 'Use Your Favourite Tool' (I used my lovely grand nesties)
Let's Ink It Up - 'Distressing'
Midweek Magnolias - #5 'Homespun Style' (although a little shabby I think the bunting counts)

M is for Magical over at ABC

Wowzers! Blogger has messed things up again. I had this post scheduled for this morning, happily went off to Thetford for the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show and came home to find Blogger had completely ignored my simple request.
Anyway at last here is my creation for the latest fab challenge over at ABC. This time it was down to me to choose the theme so I decided on M is for Magical! So dust your wands off and get creating anything with a magical theme.

I just had to use the fabulous new wizard Tilda and created her very own Hogwarts castle with the equally gorgeous new Princess castle image from Magnolia. I just fancied decorating a bag this time so I added some bunting in true Griffindor colours and some great DP's from the Kanban Mechanica Steampunk range. The little gold edging stars are the trim from a ribbon I've had for ages and the rosette is a Tim Holtz die with an LOTV sentiment in the centre.
As always I coloured everything with my beloved Promarkers, but the stormy sky was created with chalks.

I really hope you enjoy this challenge so good luck and I look forward to seeing all of your entries.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Totally Gorjuss - #125 'Swirly Whirly'
Stampin for the Weekend - #6 'Anything Goes'
Simply Magnolia - Dies and Punches

Bye for now

Good morning folks,
Well do I have some exciting news to share with you today. This week I received an invitation from the fabulous Suzie Sugar to join her amazing team over at Totally Tilda and once I'd calmed my lil ol self down you can guess what I said "A BIG FAT YES!!"
So I would like to say a massive thank you to Suzie for having the faith in me to join such a talented bunch of girlies.
So I have my TTC debut creation to share with you today. This fortnight we want to see you create a project incorporating Tilda holding a flower or bunch of flowers. We are sponsored this week by the lovely Nicki from Bunny Zoe Crafts.
I chose to use the beautiful bride Tilda and her lovely groom Edwin and created this wedding favour with matching gift box.

I got these clear baubles into the shop last year and I just love using them, they come in two halves with a disc that fits inside, so they make a fabulous container for very 3 dimensional creations.

The reverse side of the bauble I chose to use my all time fave Magnolia sentiment stamp added some MS butterflies and some srummy confetti.

Little close up of the lovely couple:

Everything has been distressed with Pumice Stone DI and I added some bling with clear stardust glitter pen.

Apologies for my absence but I have just not been feeling great for the last couple of weeks but I am slowly getting back to the land of the living, me thinks anyway?
Ok so it's time once again for another fab challenge over at ABC and this time the theme was chosen by my lovely teamie Patty Sue and she has chosen Kraft. So get your thinking caps on and create a project using kraft somewhere on your creation.
I love colouring on Kraft with my prismacolors so I was in my element however, this is my first time colouring a Tilda in this way so I hope you like her.
The colour combo is courtesy of the Magnolia Down Under challenge which is to use Pink, Orange and White. I have to say I found it quite a challenge but was really pleased when I found an old paper pad of mine called Claire by SEI, just yummy designs. The sentiment comes from LOTV and the punches and dies come from MS and Marianne D.

Love Is.... Grey and Purple!

Evening all,
I hope everyone that is affected by the deadly white stuff is safe and warm and hasn't slipped about too much.
Well safe to say the shop was a little quieter today so I stole a few hours to play and decided to use the gorgeous 'Daisy' a firm favourite of mine from Sugar Nellie.

The challenge over at Passion for Promarkers really got me thinking 'Use Grey and Purple' so I tried my hand at another Black and White image. I remember many moons ago seeing a tutorial on colouring just with shades of grey and it taught me alot unfortunately I cannot remember whether it was the very talented Denise or the equally talented Deb from the PFP Design Team, but thank you anyway to both ladies as you have always inspired me.
I chose to team my design with an old Basic Grey DP 'Wisteria' which I love and edged everything with Pumice Stone DI and Diamond Stickles.
Both of the beautiful dies are from Marianne D and the lovely little sentiment is from Magnolia. The flowers, pearls and charm came from my stash.
