Celebration Day 3

We are at Day 3 of my 200th Digital Two for Tuesday post.  I hope you are enjoying all the guest designer's projects and are feeling as inspired as I am.  One of my favorite things about having a blog is that people from around the world visit on participate.  Today's talented guest designer is Carla Aerts from Belgium.  Carla has created 5 cards for us to enjoy.  Again, when I received these cards I thought these could not be images I posted.  Carla has added so much charm and creativity to each image.  I know you all will be as inspired as I.   Remember to share your project in the comments section below if you join the celebration.  Follow the labels below to find the images Carla used in her lovely cards.

Here is Carla's bio in here own words.

Hi everyone,
I am Carla. I am 52 years old. I live in the small country of Belgium in Europe. Together with my husband I work on our dairy farm of about 100 cows. Oh yes, for hobbies there is still time. Every day I sit in my craft room to make cards, especially cards with stamps. I prefer to color the stamps with Derwent coloursoft pencils. I've made some cards with the beautiful digital stamps from Digital Two for Tuesday, cards in my style.  You can see more of my work on my blog http://carlasknutselateljeeke.blogspot.be/.

I'm honored to be able to post here today.

Digital Two for Tuesday 180

This week I am posting from a vintage book called Mother Goose and Other Tales dated 1904.  The book is very old and the pages are stained brown but I was able to clean the images up surprisingly  easy with my Pixelmator software.

Two Geese

Both of these geese images are from a book called The Girl Who Sat by the Ashes by Padraic Colum and illustrated by Dugald Stewart Walker dated 1919.  I cut out the branches from the 2nd image as a bonus.

Two More From Singer Drawing Booklet

I thought these two dutch children had a little bit of a wonky look in the eyes and was not sure I should post them.

Chicks & Bunnies

Spring is almost over here in the northeast but I thought these would give you a smile on this rainy Saturday morning. Both images are from the 1928 Singer booklet.  A little more experimenting below.  I separated the images for you.  Let me know if you like this and I can do it for other images in the future as appropriate.

Fire!

Fire, Fire.  Here are two more images from the Teddy Books. This time they are from a chapter about putting out a fire.  These bears sure do everything in their travels.  They are so cute.  The artists a the turn of the 20th century were amazing.  Without TV books had so many detailed drawings.

Digital Two for Tuesday 56

Early this year at the flea market I found two fun old books. The Roosevelt Bears 1906 and More About Teddy B and Teddy G and the Roosevelt Bears dated 1907.  Both were written by Seymour Eaton and illustrated by V. Floyd Campbell and RK Culver.  These bears have a lot of adventures.  If these books were in perfect condition they would sell for hundreds of dollars but these were all unbound.  Perfect for scanning.  Lucky us!

This week our guest host is Rheannon.  Rheannon has hosted for us before and created a beautiful bright colored recipe book from our old cookbook images. She told me the images for this week's Digital Two for Tuesday were perfect for her as her family loves to fish.  Rheannon has created a beautiful inspiring card for us today.  I love all the details and how she has colored the image.
Here is her bio in her own words.
"My name is Rheannon. I live in North Idaho, married to a wonderful man, and have an incredible 6 year old son. I love all types of crafts but have a particular love for paper. I work at a private school during the day, play with my son in the afternoon, and craft till midnight!"
You can see more of Rheannon's beautiful artwork at her blog.

Digital Two for Tuesday 52

We have two adorable mouse images to play with this week.  Unfortunately, I can't seem to clean up one of the images.  Everytime I have it looking perfect the distortion seems to show up again when I save it.  Anyway, it is still a cute image.

This week's guest designer is Dani. She has created two beautiful cards using these fun mouse images. I love the vintage touches she has added to her cards. Here is her bio in her own words.
"My name is Dani C. from Texas. I am married to the sweetest hubby in the world and we have 6 kids (ages 3 -15) and two huge labs. I work from home homeschooling my kids. In my free time I love to make cards, read and cross stitch.
It was sew mice to see you card: I colored this sweet mouse using Copics. The ribbon is Vintage Rayon Ribbon and the dp is by DCWV ‘The Crafty Stack’. I typed up and printed the saying using the Be Safe font.

Field Mouse card: I love this image! I thought it looked like it came out of a children’s book. So I tore a piece of paper out of an old book and used some old scrap cardstock. I distressed the card stock by using PTI’s Linen and Canvas Impressions plate and Tim Holtz Distress inks. I colored the image using Copics."

You can see more of Dani's work at her blog Count Your Beautiful Blessings.
