Well, i've never been more insulted in my life!?...these chaps seem to think Nazi's are great blokes, shocking. I've a good mind to phone the bizzies * (*a collective scouse noun for the police in Liverpool". The one man Power Electronics band, Con-Dom, used to grope female members of the ,admittedly very small, audience....until attitudes on such behaviour changed in recent years. His act would now result in serious jail time for sexual assault,all in the name of Shock Value......but that's Rock'n'Roll innit?

Most of the acts on this patience testing double C-60, spend most of their time being Whitehouse for five minutes or so,with seemingly very little interest in doing otherwise; ironic as William Bennett (the bloke in Whitehouse) himself has very little time for a few of the acts/bands featured on this exceedingly nasty compilation.

What my mother must have thought when she brought a cup of Tea up to my bedroom in the early 80's I'll never know. She seemed oblivious to the 'orrible racket emanating from these tapes,and other similar recordings of the time.Not as shocking as one may think.Similarly, my father seemed equally disinterested in the scraping and rumbling upstairs,even when one of Hitlers speeches blasted out of the noise and echoed down the street. No-one else seemed to give a Fuck either.....and y'know what I think they were right.

In the desperate struggle to achieve shock value ,the creators of this non-musicianly cacophony forgot one thing,'avoid being boring'.

I'm desensitized to noise in general,so for me,a subtle splash of melody here and there could only add to the Horror,like in a John Carpenter film......admittedly there are a couple of tracks which do have these qualities on here,but another thirty or so that certainly do not.

Don't let this put you off if you haven't yet been numbed to shock values.....exposure to such oscilloscope breaking phenomena is essential if you want to advance oneself in the subtler arts of music,and put the Roland space-echo and Hitlers' Speeches LP out to pasture.

Yeah,that's Right, I Like this tape.....a-lot.

I just wanna hear something I haven't heard before.

Con-Dom / Nails Of Christ With AMK ‎– "Have Faith" (Broken Flag ‎– BF 63) 1987

Con-Dom and friends (if he has any friends that is?) from The Grey Wolves, and American Industrialist AMK, with a shared outing on Broken Flag.
The Familiar themes of religious faith as a mental illness are explored here in extreme lo-fidelity.
The Con-Dom tracks are the vicious power electronic sensual assaults, and Grey Wolves main man Trevor ward (they have such ordinary names don't they?) as Nails Ov Christ, handles the more ambient Industrial side of this merry occasion.
An ideal tape to purge yourself of that awful Christmas and new year depression with a bit of aural violence,and the sound of someone having a crapper time than you did.

Con-Dom ‎– "All In Good Faith" (Control Domination) 1988

This tape, housed in a hollowed out copy of "Songs Of Praise" , brings together nicely Mike Dando's favourite themes/maladies of Racist Hate and Religious Faith.
On the surface, Con-Dom may seem like a bigoted arsehole, but when you dive deeper into Mike's work you will find that the "racist" aesthetic is more of a social commentary that provides a criticism of both the left and the right. Once you look past the shocking imagery, you will find that Con-Dom makes some of the most uncompromising Power Electronics around; with a diverse scope in sound ranging from a harsh wall of scraping noise to atmospheric industrial; all with Mike's trademark demented vocals that sound like a whacked out priest giving the final sermon of their life as judgement day reigns upon the world.A sonic re-enactment of Jonestown or Waco, or of countless other religious atrocities that have blighted our beautiful planet since our ancestors crawled out of the primeval soup.
That said,I find this stuff far less frightening than some of the actual preachers I have seen on the Christian channels on television;in fact its pretty mild in comparison.
I doubt that Fundamental Christians would, or could, see past the ironic nature of this recording; as it says in the sleeve notes:

Con-Dom ‎– "Even More Racial Hatred" (Zeal SS ‎– o51) 1986

Here's one for Trump and Farage Supporters (aka Thick Twats).

Now, after all that Pub Rock, its time to get back to (Ab)normality; so we'll start by going straight off into the deep end with a little bit of confrontational liberal-baiting Noise by Human Animal Mike Dando, aka Con-Dom. Not a reference to prophylactic's, but maybe a pun that is supposed to refer to the sexual term (Con)trol and (Dom)ination.......a naughty boy he is too.

Not everyone's cup of tea, Dando's live show's are a primal scream of an in your face confrontation of social Taboo's. The ugly side of the human animal is displayed in all its unpleasant glory.

Its a kind of honesty, which is why a favourite theme is always Nazi Germany, where, like it or not, was home to one of the most Honest Politicians of all time.....yes....uncle Adolf. He is virtually alone in political history as a politician who told you what he was going to do, and then did it,even their propaganda ministry was called "The Propaganda Ministry" for Christs sake!? And everyone was shocked. A bit like a Con-Dom Live Assault. They know whats going to happen, and then they complain, when Mr Dando grabs a audience members crotch mid scream.

Con-Dom explores any kind of social tensions and control: political, religious, racial, with a violent and uncompromising attitude. He is well-known on the industrial scene for his furious ravaging vocals and devastating live performances, in which he turns into a real stage animal.
This stuff is even more relevant 30 years on than back in 1986; when racism was more an underground cult than in post-Brexit Britain, and with the election of Donald Trump as leader of the 'Free' world!!!!????.....did i dream that or is it true? Now, racism is blatantly displayed in public, after it was given the thumbs up by that stupid Referendum campaign and by the intellectual minnows of the pro-Trump movement. They wouldn't like Con-Dom because he encapsulates what they really are.....but with more honesty.
This is definitely real 'Post-Truth' musik, that appeals, positively, or negatively ,direct to the emotions.
Enjoy.....or not, as is most likely the case; I find it quite a cathartic listening experience in short doses.

I suppose this person is the British equivalent of G.G. Allin?Acting out the role of the most disgusting person on the planet.Spouting racism ,and other vile traits of a bigot,he confronts us with all that is ugly about the human animal.
Frequently attacking and groping audience members; often on the receiving end, as his victims defend themselves, -Dando is attempting to explore the depths of his own personality by more than just flirting with extremes,he actually tries to become them.A kind of musical method acting equivalent in a quest for personal freedom
Control-Domination is the theme. Control, domination, manipulation, organisation ... The forces of control  - mass culture, mass media, mass mentalities.Freedom lies from within, and Con-Dom believes to attain that one has to challenge taboo's and the extremities of human behaviour to discover the pure personality within.
Well, its either that or he's an attention seeking racist sex pervert who places shock value over content.
This album,which consists of a 3" Cd and cassette, is dedicated to T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia),with whom he seems obsessed.

Personally, I don't wanna go through the Live Con-Dom experience,just as I wouldn't wanna have been beaten up by G.G.Allin, but I'm open to the concept,and the Records aren't too far off the standard of a good Whitehouse release. Nice packaging too.
