Arrrrr!!!!! How about a Pirate Sketch Matees...and a little Halloween Collection....

Ahoy me Matees!!!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Today I was having fun with our son Cole and he loves his Pirates....he wanted to be a pirate this year so as we chatted over breakfast I sketched this little pirate for him.....


He was a pirate two years ago....and he loved walking up to housed saying Arrrrrr!!!! it was very cute indeed....Here he is as his pirate!!! how sweet.....The Sketch of my little pirate is my submission to Sunday Sketches this week....and I also added a little Halloween Montage below to share with you all....

Sketching some produce....Care for a Pear?

Hi Everyone....I am in awe at all of the amazing stuff at the local markets...and pears have always been neat to me...so I created a little homage to the Pear.....I created the piece above with three....at first I was going to do two and call it.... "a Pair of Pairs" but three just looked better...so this is called "Three's better than a pear"....

Did you know that Italy is the second largest grower of pears? and the United States is third? who knew...but I will only eat the ones grown locally....

I also had no idea that a pear had 6 grams of fiber....now that is a good source of fiber for a mere 100 calories...who knew!!!

They are very good for you...so today I am heading to pick up more pears....we grow 5 types here and they are yummy......

Sunday Sketches....how about some tattoo art

I have to say that I am loving working on some custom tattoos...
This one was created for Leanne...and it is a memorial to her Dad who passed away...he used to always bring her Mom yellow roses....and she loves butterflies and transformation so I added in this fluttery friend....

I thought this sketch would be perfect as my Sunday Sketch this week!!!

Happy 12th Anniversary !!! My Sunday Sketch .......

Hi Everyone and Happy Sunday.....Twelve years ago today I married the man of my dreams...and he still makes each and every day amazing.....I feel very blessed ......Happy Anniversary Brad!!!

I created this little piece for my sweetie.....and am submitting it to Sunday Sketches this week.....Our little family....Brad , Diana & our munchkin Cole.....

Sunday Sketch....another wise guy and some late winter fun!!!

I love love love owls.....almost as much as I love bees...so I created this super colourful watercolour and ink owl for Sunday Sketches today and also wanted to share our snow fun with you all ....

We had a blast creating our last snowman for the season...(we hope) fingers crossed hoping that Spring will be right around the corner and we can start some fun gardening!!!

It just seems fitting to create Angels on a Sunday....

I have been working away on my line of Sweet Guardians.....and today I am featuring a finished piece....above....She is a Sweet Guardian who loves feline friends.....I think she is sweet to look after cat lovers and cats.....

Did you know that a Guardian Angel is a special Angel that is assigned to guard a special person....

and do you know that people have believed in Guardian Angels for as long as time itself...wow!!!

I know I always feel like there is someone watching over us....our special Guardian Angels.....



I am submitting this sketch and final piece to my Sunday Sketches this week...She just makes me smile....

Sunday Sketches and Sunday Postcard....Autumn is in the Air

I love this time of year....Autumn is the culmination of all the hard work we put in to grow wonderful things....the fruits of our labor...so to speak...so this also symbolizes all the work I have done this year with respect to my illustrations and my published work....It is time to celebrate and enjoy the colours and changes ahead! I purposely only posted the ink sketches....a juxtaposition on all the Autumnal colours out there right now...and today I plan on heading to see some of that colour...and some of the pumpkins that are harvested....

Sunday inspiration turned to Sunday Sketches ....turned to Mixed Media Monday.....

These are my supplies.... my strawberries...my mini sketchbook and my trusty pencils and inks...

Flower inspiration + fruit inspiration =

Some fun with colour and this and that...and My Sunday Sketches turned into this Mixed Media Monday  piece....The theme is "past loves" and I love seeing pictures of people with the bee hive hair dos so much fun and I have no idea how they did it!!! I have to get the old photos from my parents place....maybe I can show some in the future!!!

I had so much fun this weekend!!! I attended the most wonderful Wedding and was inspired by family and friends. It was such a wonderful time and I congratulate my cousin Greg and his new wife Alanah!!!

I even got to take home these amazing flowers that were part of my inspiration for this Queen Bee I created....the second part is my Parisienne fruit bowl filled with these yummy strawberries...they wouldn't be here if it wasn't for some busy bees!!!

I guess what I am trying to say...is inspiration is everywhere...you just have to keep your eyes open and enjoy every moment!!!

Sunday Sketches and my final piece for Mixed Media Monday....theme....I feel pretty
