Paint Party Friday....some new commissions....2 homes and 2 beach scenes...
Hi Everyone....
Happy Paint Party Friday....I was a busy bee this week with all sorts of fun projects....I also painted 4 commissions this week....two beach scenes and two home paintings.....so it was a wonderful week. I am so blessed to have wonderful clients that come back to have me paint for them.....if you ever want a custom painting I have a special shop dedicated to my custom work here....
I had a super fun Halloween week too that started off with a fun costume party last Saturday where I was Día de los Muertos inspired in dress and make up and ended up winning best costume...
I can't remember the last time I got all scary and in costume for a fun party like that....it was a great time...and Wednesday night we lucked out and the storm subsided so we could take out our munchkin for some Halloween sights and tricks and treats....overall a wonderful week!!
Hope you all had a great week and we send out our prayers to all those impacted by the scary storm called Sandy......

Costume Party....what a blast and a half..... Día de los Muertos inspired....
It is Halloween Eve today and I had to share some shots of my Día de los Muertos inspired costume that I wore to a costume party on the weekend....I haven't dressed up for a Costume party in ages and this was so much fun....I felt like a kid again....It was an adult costume party that was a blast and a half....we stayed out till after 3:00 a.m......and laughed and played some fun games too....
I made a special head piece for my costume and our munchkin was thrilled to model it for me....he always loves when I create.....I think it turned out amazing.....
I also have to tell you all that I won best costume!!! how super cool is that....everyone loved my make up and my spooky attire.....it was a shock to be the winner....but super exciting!!!
a little about Day of the Dead....from Wikipedia....
Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where it is a national holiday, and all banks are closed. The celebration takes place on November 1, in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day (November 2). Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. They also leave possessions of the deceased.
Hope you all got through this rough storm called Sandy....and our prayers go out to all those impacted by this horrible storm....
Happy Halloween Eve and Happy Creating Everyone....
