Party Bears Oh my!

Happy Monday Everyone....I am working away on some fun new surface designs and was doodling all sorts of fun designs...I have a super sweet little party bear that I am working with today and thought I would share him with you all....he is ready for just about any fun party....I love changing up colours and adding some textures to him....I will have many versions of this by this afternoon!!!

Sunday Sketches......Some Holiday birds.....

It has been one Holiday party after another and lastnight we had so much fun at a work Christmas Party for my husband's company.....the children all saw Santa once again and sang songs and then received special gifts that he delivered....it was a wonderful night and Cole always looks forward to Daddy's party.....

Here is a little piece I created with some sketches....a bird, some holly and some poinsettias....Sharing them as my Sunday Sketches this week.....

Wednesday Design warm up......I turn to flowers all the time

I am in shock that it is Wednesday already....where does the time go? We just got back from a wonderful long weekend up at the cottage and I am finding it hard to get inspired....so you know me...and when I need to get warmed up I have fun with my little process I shared with you all earlier....do some doodles and then create stuff with pieces from my doodles....it almost always turns out to be a flower...or something floral inspired....and today I worked on this piece.....just enough fun to get me back to work on some projects!

I am working on some tight deadlines and have so much to do but I have to say I am feeling like vacation mode took over .....

This week I thought I would share a little Illustration montage I created about one of my favorite summer time sweets...ice cream....We love to sit on our patio al fresco and enjoy a nice cool treat or at our favorite ice cream parlour....

I also thought I would show you a project I worked on this past week for a special Birthday party...these toppers will be added to some yummy sweet cupcakes at a very cute Birthday party.....

Custom designed a little treat for my client too as a little surprise........a set of Birthday stickers I designed....

Three's a crowd!

You know that old saying...."Three's a Crowd" well that is what this piece is titled...once the third bird came by....everyone's feathers got all ruffled...and the place was a mess....

This is my submission to "Three Muses" this week...the theme is "Printed Word" .......I didn't print anything...no words needed for this one....

Mixed Media Monday and Father's day all rolled into one...something old...something new...something I illustrated and something blue

boy oh boy...the weekends sure seem to fly by....Cole and I had some fun working on a project for Daddy...a cute little bee...cause he is sweet as honey....lol....

I love watching Cole create and he was so proud to add this handmade gift to Daddy's presents....he is so sweet....

I also worked on this "something old" piece for MMM this week....Thanks to Terri over at Pringle Hills Studio....I used this cute girl with writing on her mind!!!

Terri has all kinds of fun freebies you can use in art....and since I only work on new illustrations...the theme was so out of my comfort zone...so I was inspired by this special image.....with some of my butterfly illustrations and some fun backgrounds.....

11 Years today!!!

11 years ago today....on a beautiful Saturday my Prince Charming and I exchanged our Wedding vows....It was the most magical day ever and the start of an amazing journey that has exceeded all of my expectations....I feel so lucky to have the most amazing husband in the world who treats me like his princess each and every day....He is and will always be my soulmate...my best friend and the love of my life....and we can't believe that it has been 11 years already....so that phrase is one hundred percent correct....time sure flies when you're having fun....but more than that we are always there for eachother through it all.....

Today I thank him for always being my biggest fan and supporter and I thank him for always believing in me ....and for also letting me follow my dreams ....

Happy Anniversary to the love of my life!!!

The Play Date Cafe - Challenge 32

Hi Everyone...if you haven't popped by the Play Date Cafe yet...oh please do...you will love these fun challenges to create with a specific colour pallet...

This week I used the colours to work on one of my fabric designs....I think it looks pretty neat in these colours...I also sell this pattern as a digital stamp in my shop....Stamped.etsy.com

Mixed Media Monday - Personal Symbol

This week over at MMM the theme is Personal Symbol....and I just had to add my Sun and Moon...this piece is in my logo and all over my business...why? you ask....it is the first piece I did that started my whole career change....and every time I see this piece it reminds me of my journey to doing work I love ....I also titled this piece...opposites attract......deeper symbolism for me...

When I started my Illustration and Design company....I had no idea how wonderful it would be to do something that I love and how perfect it is to feed my heart and soul daily ...

so here it is...my personal symbol.....perfect for this week's theme....

it also reminds me daily that dreams do come true...you just have to believe....and everyone needs some sunshine once and a while...and I like mine daily.....

Three Muses celebrate 1 year!!!

Boy you know time sure flies when you're having fun and it has been a great year over at the Three Muses Challenge blog....Happy Blogoversary everyone!!!

Theme Thursday - Butterflies

I created this special Butterfly lady with a nod to all the wonderful seasons we experience...they are all special to me in some way....I used this as a promo one year and I still love this butterfly!!! The theme for Theme Thursday is "Butterflies" so I thought I would bring her back to life in this design.....

Mixed Media Monday - Wedded Bliss ...except for the Dad ....

Imagine having three daughters that were triplets and they happened to meet three handsome princes....that all asked for their hands in marriage....and the Weddings were all in the same year....talk about Wedded Bliss for the daughters and their handsome fiances but I don't think their Dad was ready for all this wedded bliss....
