Beadings.......

This beading programme involved me as a whole..... This was held on the 29th July, a few days before the fasting month. Organized by the same organisation, Majlis Pembangunan Wanita dan Keluarga, chaired by Puan Sharifah Maznah and was held at Dewan Nur.

As the technology provider for this programme, it took me two weeks for the whole preparation and to coach two girls to assist me..... apart from getting items and designs to suit the beginners and intermediate beader in one go........!

Alhamdulillah, we managed, with the help from Intan and Shifa....Thanks girls!

Recycled products...

I was venturing away for 3 days to our yearly activities at WI HQ at PJ. This year around we have to produce something from recycled old newspaper to be weaved to form variety of baskets or anything related as our next source of fun raising.

Puan Aishah and me, busy rolling cut papers to make the main material to weave the basket.

Participants came from all states from Semenanjung except from Perlis, which did not turned up for certain reasons.

Few example of products from the same materials.

These are mine, produced in one day hard labour :)

I am fiddling some times to convey all the knowledge I have learnt here to all my buddies in Kedah. InsyaAllah.

I’ve to rush thing in my sewing corner a bit because of some deadline, which means I’ve been sewing, piecing, stitching past my bedtime, which inevitably leads to ................ urgh!

I can do it, I must do it, I will do it, I will work hard now ...............!!!

RE workshop @ IKM Sik Kedah

Last week I had such hectic days of doing errands and hunting for ribbons and some sewing materials, preparations for the beginners RE class that I conducted at IKM Sik on Monday July 2nd 2010.

Around 11 enthusiast RE students only, but apparently they are sewist themselves and easily 'manageable' ..... :D... They all are fast and eager learner and towards the end of the day they have something to turn the RE sampler into.......... and proudly display for this coming 'Aid.

All in all I am much happy that my little mission had accomplished and met few new friends..... and such fun knowing them. Maybe someday we could meet again with some new craft things to share..........

YELLOW DUCKLING 1 & 2

baby quilts - yellow ducklings
this simple quilts was done four times repeatedly upon request. i like the simple design myself. this is simply my own design adapted from a cartoon distinctive character from toddlers book. Unfortunately i can't get the pictures for the other two versions (lucky if can get it from the rightful owner)

This project was even used to a group of FELDA staff (Alor Setar Head Quarters-FELDA Wilayah) in one of their sewing forum and yearly activities. Such a sweet experience to be able to teach and assist such a large group of people loving crafts. This alone produces twenty of those little yellow ducklings in various shapes and styles.
