A Malaysian quilter, in love with quilting ever and every quilt sewn for family and friends is an act of love to provide comfort, filling a need and giving some blessings. On every stitch....... along goes my prayer and warmth ♥

Happiness all over.........
Lately I was not very happy with all these.........................
Have no space to lay my ongoing projects ....... accompanied by big box on fave long bench,
Have no place to cut my fabrics......... and limited space to move around my sewing area,
Have to squeeze myself to go to the kitchen,
Boxes all over the places...... spilt over the living room,
Have to beware of boxes, glass panes and cylindrical logs in front of our fave couch......,
But, I am very HAPPY with my new sewing chair...... simply because, it is RED
and I am still doing my sewing and quilting all over!!!!!!! :D

All things moved......
Left alone means I do not need to cook for any meals, means Hubby was away for fishing!
And I went busy shifting and rearranging my sewing corner again. My secret..... I arrange the sewing room every two or three months once ...... Am I weird?
These pics below are just for my sewing diary and to keep track of my daily activities....... :)
A little office where I am typing now.... with such comfy armchair who could resist sitting for hours, surfing and browsing...... me especially!! And my sewing table with MekTam now.
The messy part of my corner... the working and cutting table. Last month I bought the foldable table from Giant...it is kind of handy and becomes 2' x 2' when folded up portable enough for my little transport. I transformed the back of the old cupboard and my old wardrobe for my design wall...... but found out that it is not sufficient to cater even for a single quilt top..... will see some other solutions.
This is how Hubby will view me, I guess....... when he is not busy with his Byond...... :D

An open storage area where I keep all the necessary quilting items ..... messy :)
This trolley with castors is really handy to store all the little sewing items.
Some collections of craft books and magazines
Now....... my most favorite spot....... supplied by my kids, they just knew their mama's taste.
I love chocolates and sweets :D

My daily routine.... z z z z z z z z z
Who can possibly do some sewing in this situation...... I wonder!
Having a very skilled hubby in constructions and building management works I can't stop him from ransacking my sewing corner too..... now he has almost completing the renovations at the final part of the house.
Since I took over the dining area as my fav
ourite corner, hubby demolished BOY's room to replace the dining and I am so happy that I have a bigger dry kitchen.... finally!
I am now residing in the master-bedroom to sew our baju kurung for the coming 'Eid..... with most of the time air conditioning is on, and most of the time too I snoozed more than finishing my tasks...... :D

MY SEWING CORNER
It is my way of keeping all my fabrics pre-washed and fold them in-side-out. Here it looks like all are plain and dull colours... not really...... and I love all of them... and my books and magazines.
They are my treasures!

SEWING ROOM
Sewing corner @ A.Setar and some of fabrics collection

Little working space @BK3
We usually spent so much time doing house chores but it is an endless routine. I assume that I need a space for myself especially to ease my mind and to self motivate after the hard days work at home.
The time I take is 8 t0 9 hours just like when I was working from 9 - 5 before. But at certain circumstances I occupy my whole day and night at my sewing studio just to fulfill my target. With some adjustment accordingly of course. This is to discipline myself.
After completing my everyday housework, with a cup of hot coffee I will register myself to my little office as early as 8am. Earlier if it is rain outside or the weather is not that promising. Once in a while I go to our local swimming pool to have the splash. I love swimming and go to the gym for my aerobic class with some friends. See, I need to ease myself and meet friends too......
Then for the rest of the day, I will pick up the uncompleted works. Look into the scheduled appointments with students and make necessary preparations for their class. Normally I allocate each student about two solid hours... well I can be very flexible at times, depends.
Think that I am very 'lucky' because I do not need to prepare for lunch. Hubby is working in Penang and he has to travel to and fro everyday from Alor Setar. Lunch normally just a light meal like sandwich or some slices of bread or bun will do. But.. it is a necessity to prepare a good dinner for two.... is not that sound wonderful! Even though my cooking is... Mind you that I am off on Sunday just to be with my 'old-man'.
It is beyond words and if we are very passionate about anything, we do it wholeheartedly. Well by just being at my working table, sometimes I do not realise that time flies so fast. Especially to a certain new project.
This is my routine and so engross in my task that I am always lost in my own world.
What say you...... friends?
