Tiny but not TINY

I was away from my sewing nook and just a bit tired and weary for the whole of this week. Yet have to dig my stash to sew something small and cute before I leave the house ........ one or two little 1" hexy per day. I am to do this tiny phone charms to be on sales, donation or as a door gifts plus some other items during the yearly carnival on May in our small town, Alor Setar.

I had posted this here sometimes ago..... had done few for friends and received a good respond and decided to have them a go as fund raising projects. Let it flow smoothly while sewing these...'cos I am doing hundreds of them....... :) InsyaAllah

all in all.... preparation is required!

We celebrate and prepare most joyful way to any new born and birth... with all the warming welcome and nothing and nobody is against them!

But is it proper to get ready and be prepared before we leave this worldly life..... just few hours of our last stay 'here'.....a white bed sheet, a pillow sham and a body cover........and all the necessary items needed for that day?

Many have given comments on this, and it is not a new issue.....and we talked this out to our religious man.........apart from preparing ourselves spiritually........it is not wrong to get ready, in materials form, and always expecting each day is our last existence on earth.

Few ladies surround me are doing and preparing theirs..... and I am involved in that acts!

All sewn, washed, packed and keep them within easy reach, anytime, till the day arrives...........

IVORYCARES CARNIVAL DAY 09

Lately I was so busy and my house and sewing corner was in a mess and I just can't stop sewing and sewing.... to produce anything that I could managed.... patched bags, pouches, clutches, embroidered table cloth, pincushions, table mats and some quilts and runner as display items.

And last Sunday, here I was in the Island of Penang with Hubby, from the break of dawn till sunset... at Penang Times Square for IvoryCares Carnival Day 09 ...The Ivory Properties group had their annual event to help raised fund and the amount collected will be donated to the poor and needy. It was just a small crowds/gathering, more like a family day with children and lots of food and music.

I was so tired during the events and how I wish I was at home and had a good nap.... but with few items were sold and many just stopped by for a chat and admiring my products, I felt quite happy behind my booth ...... (since Hubby is one of their staff, he could not helped out :( ..... We wrapped up with some amount to donate to the needy and I was quite pleased with the whole event and got over with in satisfactions.......

Managed to pester/persuade Hubby to take us to Borders at QueensBayMall and grabbed a quilt magazine then shoot home. I dozed off with heavy head before reaching Penang Bridge on the way home which took about one and a half hour journey with the magz opened in my hands....... poor Hubby drove in cats-and-dogs!
