Hubby was left...... alone!

Oh, some vengeance!.....No, just have lots of errands to settle in town... and Hubby was left alone at home. Not to worry coz he would not realized I was missing until he gets hungry........ :) He is so engross with his woodworks and cleaning up his fishing gears and gadgets!

Ok, so I went to the post office for some delivery. Then, to the SSM (CCM/RoC) for renewal. Looking for bits and pieces for my sewing things and fabrics for the tablecloth. Did all the running here and there, in a time crunch and came home with these.

The fabrics for table cloth are all white cotton..... eliminated from the view :)

Three heavy cotton, few meters of printed cottons and a lovely Japanese silk, for my baju raya 'Aidul Adha.

There too, an additional of my craft/sewing books..... a Taiwan printed magz from PBS.

FA know how...!

Now what? Diverting myself into something different again?

Way back during younger days and school time I always love the Art class. That was all.......have no ideas and know nothing about this Folk Art.... totally zero and I am willing to learn.

Found this amazing book by the same tutor and author, En Zahir Yusof, during my recent visits to PBS, I know I have to give it a go.......and have read about him through local blogger friends in their entries........I was crucially fell in love to know how or at least about FA.....

Any suggestions and badly need some advice, dear friends.....!

WIP Sewing Sampler-update

So, I have been doing this sewing sampler during the weekend. When completed I've decided to frame this up.

I bought this Donna Kooler's Seasons in Cross-Stitch in Sept 2005 and this is my first cs from this book. A lot of nice designs, but 'this' caught my eyes in the first place..... If you are interested to have the same design/charts I will make a photocopy and email to you..... anyone?

TOTE

I rushed to town today to get some materials for a friend's baby set and to fetch my BHG's APQ magz. for Feb. 2010 and of course some DMC floss for my first come-back project of cs.

Later today, a friend came to my sewing studio and started browsing this magz..... when she came across this gorgeous tote..... she was mumbling something that I did not dare listen ........mmmm just could not believe her wanting to sew THIS tote.....!!

Well, don't worry I will sew one for you... since you are still a school girl..... hoping that you will study hard to strive your goals...... I will be happy, as a reward!!

You do know who YOU are, don't you?

ATIN'S MEOW MEOW (UPDATED)

A single for Darling Little Princess Nur Fatin Izzati on her 1st birthday. machine patched and machine quilted.

This special quilt was handed over to her first birthday on August 10th 2007. Last night I recalled the beautiful moments during her stay in Alor Setar (they are now in Ampang, my niece's daughter, Salina). The above shows her first and second's birthday shot. Hope this coming birthday will be merrier than before.....Miss her dearly.....

Well, managed to get hold of the original design from my collections of magazine and would like to share here since it is a beautiful masterpiece, simple and easy and a nice gift for our little girl.

SNEAK OUT

I was being naughty during our stay in Penang. We were residing in Telok Bahang but thank God I could escaped with the help of my nephew and nieces to escort me, to Queens Bay Mall for a short window shopping. The distance is about half across the island.

This is what I could grabbed from Borders. I have been looking for this kind of craft book on every stores or book stands that I have visited. Finally.......

Inside this, lots of amazing source:

* beautiful collections of designs
* whimsical illustrations of mischievous fairies and delicate angels
* stylish Art Deco images
* classics motifs
* traditional patterns
* MANY MORE.........

Being naughty is worth the risk!!!! SOMETIMES

OUT OF THE BLUE

Received a call on Tuesday night from my kids in BK3 while hubby and I were having dinner ........ my heart throbbing fast, felt like bursting and my head was heavy and we had to make a fast move. My son called that KNia (eldest daughter) was having a 'blackout' in her office and was send to PPUM. The next hour I was on my way to KL, of course I did not drive, I took a bus with my niece Najua (so happened that she stayed with me for a week and hubby could not make it since he had a major meeting to attend the next morning). On my way, I was relieved to hear that she was discharged. The result of her CT scan showed no major injury on her forehead and her left eye though the patches of blue-black started to appear. That was it...... and what else we (Najua & me) could do in 5 hours journey.

After the good news that my kids were all back at BK3 I did finally realized that I was in a double-deck bus and sitting right at first-front-row and on the first floor level.... could you imagine that....my vision were so breathtaking that I could fly off the window glass screen..... just giggled on and off with Najua cos it was her first timer too.

In a way thanks to God that I could join my kids again a week later after our reunion at my sister's place in Ipoh.

Then we had a fun time and went shopping the whole 3 solid days with KNia having a one-eyed-Panda-with-sunglasses . Amongst other minor things like ribbons, buttons, wooden pegs, cards and etc, etc...... I found these for myself......

These books and magazines were collected from The Curve's MPH and Borders and Sungai Wang book stand.

These fabrics came from Jalan TAR's Nagoya and the bottom most from IKEA (sorry Tini, I had to buy cos I love yours)
