Fabulous CAS Favorites

Here are some fabulous CAS cards I found in the SCS Gallery!

I thought it would be fun to add something new this season. In preparation for the new DT search coming this Friday evening @ 8:00 PM (EST), I decided to link a few of my favorite cards from the gallery. There's no chronological order to these cards, just cards I really like. HINT: They may also give you a hint for the styles I'm looking to find for next season.

Coming tomorrow is the Rubbernecker Stamps Fall Blog Hop! The cards and projects will be adorable and there will be prizes! You'll love them!

Here are some cards I made recently with Halloween images from Rubbernecker...

SCS Technique Challenge: Stack up the Background

I used Rubbernecker's Trick-or-Treat text BG and the Victorian Diamond BG. The diamond pattern is light, but it still shows up much better IRL.

Victorian Diamond panel (485)

Featured Stamper & Favorites

Today's featured stamper on Splitcoast is Korin (Sweet & Sassy Stamps). I absolutely love her gallery! After my card, I've linked some of her cards along with cards from some of the challenge players today.

My inspiration was based on Korin's Forget-Me-Nots card.

* Same colors & style EF
* Similar stamps & embellishing
* Turned the sketch and altered it a bit to accommodate the size
* Placed the flower embellishments differently
* No designer paper because I didn't have anything as pretty as Korin. I used a lacey border punch instead.

Rubbernecker Stamps: carnation (532_07),
sentiment (565_12)
Paper: GP white, SU retired eggplant envy & orchid opulence
Ink: Memento black, rich razzleberry, Copic markers (C1, V12, V15, V17, G24, G21)
Tools: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF, Spellbinders Nestabilities labels 17, Martha Stewart lacy scallop punch, SU oval punch
Accessories: SU ribbon, Primas, brads
Size: 4.5 square

Featured Stamper & Favorites

SCS Featured Stamper: mocjen
I had such fun cruising her gallery. She is an excellent CAS stamper
and is part of our CAS challenge design team this summer.

This is the card that inspired me.

* I used the same basic layout. I turned the card, moved up the ribbon, and stamped the sentiment right on the base card rather than mounting it on a punched circle.
* I changed the colors and patterns of the 3 squares and added 3 three rhinstones.

Rubbernecker Stamps: flourish panel (580_02),
sentiment (565_10)
Paper: GKD white, SU pumpkin pie
Ink: SU certainly celery, pumpkin pie, bashful blue
Accessories: rhinestone stickers, SU white taffeta ribbon

This is Jennie's card that inspired my 2nd card.

* I used the same layout but I reversed it. (Put the monogram M on the other side.)
* I used a different scallop punch, a different "M" stamp, and used an oval instead of a circle.
* I kept the same colors but used a white card base. The border punch is hard to see in the photo, but it can be be seen in RL.
* I didn't use any pearls, but I added ribbon.

Rubbernecker Stamps: Floral Alphabet (526)
SU Paper: white and pacific point (cs & dsp)
SU ink: pacific point
Tools: Martha Stewart scalloped lace border punch, SU oval punch, scallop Nestabilities
Accessories: SU white taffeta ribbon

This is Jennie's card that inspired my 3rd card.

* I used the same layout but didn't do any distressing.
* I changed the colors and used different floral stamps.

Rubbernecker Stamps: Garden Shrub set (560)
SU Paper: white, pumpkin pie, retired apricot appeal
SU Ink: garden green, pumpkin pie, peach parfait
Accessories: pumpkin pie ribbon

that she made for a color challenge and a sketch challenge.

(I've linked a few of my favorites from Claudine's gallery at the end of this post!)

* I changed the layout.
* I used the same colors.
* I used similar images and embellishments.

Gina K Designs' Stamps: Celebrate in Style, Perfect Pennants

Tools: SU scallop border punch, MS leaves punch, SU square lattice EF
