Oh, how I wish I could stay at Soho House NYC. Keep wishin' Mimi and pretty much most of us real peeps out there... cause it's a members only club. The private member' club are for those who are in the film, media or creative industries. Perspective members need to be nominated by TWO existing members.. but thankfully for them, it could be members of ANY 11 Soho houses located around the globe. And then there's the nominal membership fees.
You know.. come to think of it.. I may have a window of opportunity, since I am in the creative industry! One never knows...
Enjoy!

40 WinKs....
Shall we say that my mind has definitely been in travel mode this week? I just came across the very chic boutique hotel 40 WinKs located in East London. Jackie @ (Home blogspot)....My fabulous British blogger friend...you probably already know all about this place, I'm sure! I am in love! How hot is this 18th century Queen Anne townhouse? From what I understand, it's a hot spot for photographers, stylists, art directors, models and I would say any creative type...or wanna be creative type....let's be fair. It has just two guest rooms, which must be the smallest boutique hotel in existence! Room "one" is $89.00 a night and room "two" is $125.00...I know...affordable too.
The home is an eclectic mix of shabby chic; old and new; chock full of glamour...It's actually the home of London Based interior designer, David Carter...Love, love, love this place! So much eye candy and so much charm...I can't take it...Just see for yourself...Enjoy!

Here is a little history;
Montmartre
In the mid-1800s artists, such as Johan Jongkind and Camille Pissarro, came to inhabit Montmartre. By the end of the century, Montmartre and its counterpart on the Left Bank, Montparnasse, became the principal artistic centers of Paris.
Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, and other impoverished artists lived and worked in a commune, a building called Le Bateau-Lavoir during the years 1904–1909.
Artist associations such as Les Nabis and the Incoherents were formed and individuals including Vincent van Gogh, Pierre Brissaud, Alfred Jarry, Gen Paul, Jacques Villon, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, Henri Matisse, André Derain, Suzanne Valadon, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Maurice Utrillo, Toulouse-Lautrec, Théophile Steinlen worked in Montmartre and drew some of their inspiration from the area.
