LADISIC FINE HOMES HOUSE BEAUTIFUL WHOLE HOME 2022

Well...we made it through Christmas....I loved seeing all of the pictures of families and Christmas decorating.

Since I lost my sister to cancer in August of 2021.....the holidays feel a little sad for me. I know sometime soon it will be better as "time is the great healer".....

We have been through 2 showhouses on the last few post and now I have the last one that my friend Michael Ladisic worked on.

I am just going to share some of it today because I have tons of pictures:)

This started out as a renovation and quickly became so much more!  Once House Beautiful contacted Ladisic Fine Homes to become involved it did grew to a much bigger project!

One of my favorite spaces was the kitchen by designer Whitney Parkinson.  It was a blend of tradition with a classic feel.  In my opinion it will be relevant for quite a while.....

This was a small storage area right off the butlers pantry.

Circa Lighting was one of the sponsors and these kitchen pendants were stunning!  I think the barstools were from Serena and Lily.

This was the butlers pantry.....

I was really loving the 2 tone cabinet color.....

Looking straight ahead from the island was a beautiful dining area...I mean it was so inviting to me.

Right off the kitchen was this pretty bar area....

The living room off the kitchen was designer by
Zoe Feldman

The stripe wallpaper wallpaper was Farrow and Ball.

I happen to have a before of this space....

They painted the beams and added that wallpaper.....so much better!

I have a ton more images.....that I will share....

So I have gotten some emails that many of you who have read my blog for a very long time are not getting my post updates.  I checked into that and well....Blogger no longer supports Feedburner that actually pushed it to my followers.  So we have a problem.

I need to find someone to help me figure out what to do but meanwhile if you are on Facebook...I do have a Design Indulgence FB page that you could follow and I put my post there.

There is just way too much change going on haha.

LADISIC FINE HOMES CUSTOM BUILD

Let's just pretend that it has not been awhile and leave it at that:)

Not much going on besides trying to stay focused on work and waiting for something bad to happen....you see I think I might have PTSD.

You know the last 3 years have been a little shaky around here so I am not too hopeful that it is over.  In my mind I think it will be something to do with Cami....as she is 9 now.

Aren't you glad you clicked on this link...it's all doom and gloom over here:)

Let's just move on shall we?  To the great equalizer as I always say.  I mean....no matter what political fence you are on or any other things to argue about in the world now....design can always bring a smile right!  Or a puppy....either is good in my book.

So let's see what I can entertain you with.

My friend Michael Ladisic [the builder] is doing a local show house here for House Beautiful.  It was an older home in Buckhead that he bought to renovate but then they reached out to him and there you go.

Yes it's pretty the way it is but just like designers....he wanted to make it different....
And then there is progress....

About a week ago he called me to help with the outside paint colors...I said if he gives me a glass of wine and feeds me dinner....I was all in.

He obliged.

Since Farrow and Ball are the paint sponsors....that is what we were using.  These 3 colors were already up when I got there.

Taking into consideration the stone which you can see to the left and the color of the windows to the right I picked the top one which is Purbeck Stone and the darker color would be the trim which is Moles Breath.

I think it was a good choice....

I do love the detail below on the gable....

This is the back.....

And Lord...this screened in porch is pretty darn epic!

To see a list of designers I think they are listed here

I will enjoy getting a ring side seat to this one:)
Which of course means you will too....bonus.

SELECTING THE PERFECT PAINT COLORS

Hey guys....I know I still have the Boulder Flip post to share and I am really working hard to stay connected to this little blog.....I promise I will get to it soon.

Little did I know that back in August when Annie and the group asked me to do a post about my favorite paint colors....my life would be imploding.

Although sometimes when you are at your darkest.... a little normalcy will actually be comforting.

I'm counting on that right now:)

So today I am linking with some of my favorite bloggers as we share the paint colors you need to be using!

I know how paralyzing it can when the painter shows up and you still have 8 colors slapped up on your wall.  There are plenty of examples of good colors that are "tried and true" on Pinterest and I  will definitely look up a color to see if it seems true....

Today I am sharing a few favorites....Of course most of mine are neutrals but I have thrown in a few other favs for you!

I'm starting with Benjamin Moore China White.

It's the color I painted my house after trying every white in the universe.  Unlike White Dove....it has a chalky gray undertone so in my opinion it is a softer white. The house above [Rodolfo Castro Architect] is painted China White.

Here is an example of BM Iron Mountain which is one of my "go to" darks.....I used it in this dining room on one of the Boulder flips.  It's softer than black.

Another dark with a touch of brown in it is BM Iron Mountain.  I used it in my master bedroom after much angst and after it was painted it was instant love:)

Let's go to one of the prettiest blues I know....Farrow and Ball: Oval Room Blue.  I used this one at House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year 3 years ago.  It is stunning......

SW Urbane Bronze is hands down one of my favorite black/browns.  Here you can see I used it in a den and right outside a powder room for impact.....It is always on my radar!

Sometimes you JUST need a little more than a plain white and SW Passive will fit that bill.  The bathroom above was full of white marble so we just added tiny bit of warmth with this cool tone color.  You wont be disappointed....

I used BM Coventry Gray on the shutters of one of my favorite houses....and it became an INSTANT favorite.

It wouldn't be fair if I did not include BM Palladian Blue as a fav.  It's been around for ages and you can find plenty of inspiration using it on Pinterest.  I used it on the inside of my foyer door and it still makes me happy.

Here is another one that says "if it ain't broke then don't fix it".....BM Hale Navy.  I used it in this office and it's perhaps the perfect navy.  It's the easy button!

OK....this is a new favorite BM Ashwood Moss.  I used it at the House Beautiful showhouse last fall....But....I did learn that when you use a lacquer paint it will lighten a color...as you can see....above against what it looks like on walls below in my friend Julie Holloway's bathroom.

BM Amazon Green is another newcomer to my fav list.  We used it last year at the showhouse and I was amazed at the intensity of it.  Total perfection.

SW Dovetail is a color that I like to use for doors.  It's that perfect greige that we were all searching for 5 years ago......you will not be disappointed with this one.

Now is your chance to have plenty of new color options by going to 5 other bloggers and snag their favorites:

Thanks for patience.....I have read every one of your comments many times and even shared with my sister how special you all made me feel....I keep saying to myself.....there are good people in the world.

The grief I am feeling is of course not new to the universe....but certainly new to me.  We will talk soon my friends and I just want you to know that this little blog is helping me push forward everyday.

SOUTHEASTERN DESIGNER SHOWHOUSE & GARDENS 2017

Well y'all I am at High Point Market but right now..... it's 1:23 AM and I am sitting in the bathroom so I won't wake Jennifer up.  For some reason I almost fell asleep during dinner and now I'm wide awake.

Go figure.

Not sure what to do but maybe writing my post will lull me into sleepyland.......let's give it a try.

The night before I left I went to the Southeastern Showhouse and Gardens preview party.  I wanted to support my favorite people....Ladisic Fine Homes and Matthew Quinn Designs.  Michael built the house this year and of course the talented team at Design Galleria was responsible for the kitchen.

Boom y'all.....it was jaw dropping.

Here are some detail shots....

The cabinet color is Farrow and Ball Light Blue and it was spectacular.....especially with this gorgeous hammered brass hardware!

These hinges made me giddy.....how cute y'all!

Brass hood....cause nothing says pretty like this right!

The breakfast area made me fall in love with tradition all over again.  The talented  Lauren DeLoach did an incredible job!

All of a sudden I need plates on the wall everywhere.  Obsessed.

The sink area.....

These pretty blue plates were a moment for me.....

This gorgeous backsplash in the butlers pantry.....

Um.....these linens and monogram.....swoon

Right off the kitchen was this amazing  family room designed by Mrs. Howard

Ahhhh.....Phoebe you never disappoint!

Blue was definitely a theme throughout the spaces....

What was nice is that the home definitely had a more traditional feel.....which was refreshing because we are all pushing modern now right:)

This gorgeous home is open through May 14th.

Everybody had gotten me very concerned about all the walking I would do at Market but y'all it was only like a typical day for me with a little over 12,000 steps.  Just recently while I was staging the Boulder project I did 25,000 steps in one day so this is like a walk in the park:)

I'm trying to take lots of pictures so check out my instagram stories to see what I am up too!
