PROJECT UPDATE

Well..... we made it to Friday.  I don't know about you but I hardly had a moment of down time.

I mean I did not have a chance to wash my hair one night when I was going out so I tried using a curling iron on it.

News flash....dirty hair will not curl.  I love that I am still  learning at my age:)

On Monday I was at a  clients for the delivery of furniture that had been in storage for 2 years.  Uh huh.  They started a renovation after we ordered everything.  It is just now ready....well.....close.

Let's review....you may remember this project.

This is the real estate listing picture from 3-4 years ago

It's a really cool house from the 70's but it needed some TLC.

After they moved in we just threw some left over furniture in there that eventually got re-upholstered for the master bedroom.

They added a porch off the back and some pretty iron windows and doors.

And by the way....that ceiling light is not staying...hahaha

Here is the original floor plan....

This is the sofa from Charles Stewart in a deep teal green.

The rug is from Lee Jofa.

The end tables from Charles Stewart.

This beautiful fabric....
On this Charles Stewart chair!

The coffee table is from Serena and Lily.

This chair from Bungalow 5.

Pretty trim on the bottom of the ottomans....

This art was the inspiration for all the fabric selections.  This Lee Industries bench with Duralee fabric.

The granite wall on this side was also replaced with french limestone and a new mantel.

The foyer before

The granite walls were replaced with french limestone as were the dark slate floors.....

So much landscaping and we had this beautiful concrete bench from Currey and Co delivered that day also.....

This is the side of the house now.....with a new entrance.

We still have a long way to go with all the things that make a room look special....pillows, lamps, curtains, accessories....etc.

I will keep you updated!

Bless her heart because she lived in the house through the renovation.

Whats up for your weekend?  I am helping Rose next week with an install so we may be doing a little shopping to prepare.  And of course giving my Cami girl some well deserved love.

HOUSE BEAUTIFUL WHOLE HOME PROJECT

Y'all I was up all night...no really....I'm not kidding.  My sweet little Cami had diarrhea.

At 12:36, 1:15, 2:30, 3:09, 4:15, 5:30.  I know this because I looked at my watch every time.  So I think it is safe to say that this will not be a productive day.

I had big plans to get so much done but....oh well....I'm not sure my brain will be working at capacity.

I have a few very small images of the HB project. I'm not kidding....I'm afraid I may be shot or be-headed if I show more but I do want to peak your interest:)

I had originally picked a light blue for the covered porch ceiling color...but this was NOT a time to  play it safe.  I went with BM Gumdrop and I'll admit it's one of my favorite things about the house!

The master is all full of color....

My friend Blayne Beacham's art from Anne Irwin Gallery.

This pillow from sponsor Ballard Designs sitting on a Lee Industries sofa covered in Duralee's Lulu DK fabric.

This great rug we borrowed from Azar Rugs on Miami Circle.

Circa Lighting was a sponsor and I got to pick out all the lighting which was so much fun!

This is a special room....can you guess?

Huff Harrington lent us all kinds of great art to help make the spaces feel more curated!

These spool chairs from Ballard Designs!

Some pillows.....

This Thibaut [another sponsor] wallpaper in the girls room....

Replacements is a sponsor and they sent all of this gorgeous china to set the DR table....

The Thibaut fabric that started the whole color scheme!

OK....getting nervous.....better stop sharing:)

What's going on for the holiday weekend?  I plan on some retail therapy.....maybe try to get my fall wardrobe on.  It's #salecity out there people.

Season 2 of Ozark [on Netflix] drops today so I guess a little binging is also in order!

I am really looking forward to chilling....I think it is the first weekend where I haven't worked in 2 months.

My Pinewood Showhouse opens next weekend!

THIS AND THAT

I have a junk drawer of pictures to share today.....from fabrics to dogs....

But for the sake of knowing that some people are rolling their eyes and thinking "enough already about the dog".....I am starting with design first!

I get it.

Alright....last week I showed you some new Kravet fabrics.  Today we have a few Schumacher goodies to view.

In particular Mary McDonald.
Talk about texture!

And MM and I must be long lost sisters....remember how I thought I invented the green and gray combination?  Well it seems that she was already ahead of the curve....duh

Just so much goodness here.

I ran into Duralee and saw this little number from Bailey&Griffin

Pretty huh?

And this Harlequin wallpaper at Grizzel & Mann which is similar to the KW wallpaper but with a much better price point.

It comes in these other colors!

I'm not too proud to use a "look for less"!

I popped down to Scott's on Thursday afternoon and came across these pulls!

Hot damn....

Just in case your life will not be complete with out them....
I picked up some Peonies at TJ's for a few bucks.

Which brings me to an update.

Tuesday was a crazy day.

Got an email about a one year Sheepie listed on Craigslist in Lexington, Kentucky at 12:40.

1:00....contacted her

1:30....she emailed me back that she was a perfect dog but she [owner] was just diagnosed with a medical condition and had to give her up.

2:13...I asked where she was and how far away was that from Atlanta

2:40....she sends me pictures of her and a video.

2:41....I am in love.  Leave ADAC and run home to discuss with husband....when can we leave and details like that.

3:00.... I email her and say yes....I want her.  So excited....clicking my heels together and dancing all  cray cray around the house.

3:15....she emails me and said " I forgot to say we have someone local coming by to look at 6:00 to see her.

3:16....WTF....are you kidding me?  Don't you think you should have lead with that?

3:20....she will let me know if they take her.

5:28....I get an email from the OES rescue that Camelot's Mom has changed her mind and wants to give her up.

5:29....I am having a meltdown.

7:45....E-mail telling me the first people took Misha.

7:46....I send her back a message.  "Thanks....heartbroken".

So where does that leave things?  As of now we are picking up Camelot in Lake Worth, Florida  Memorial Weekend.

This better happen as I can not take another episode like that:(

So there you have it.....a week of highs and lows.

Life.
