Fairy Thanks

Hi All!

Hope you're having a nice week, it's already half over! It's been rainy here all week, but it's suppose to get better later today. I'd just like to see the sunshine again! I did notice that the buds are starting to show on the trees, so the rain is good for something at least.

I made a card for some challenges using a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps image that Ann shared with me. I love this Bird Fairy image, it's one of Crissy Armstrong's designs, and I just think she's so beautiful....I particularly love her long flowing hair and those gorgeous wings.

I've colored the image with Copics in pinks and greens and golden yellows for her hair. I added some stickles to her wings to give them some shimmer. The paper are BG Lily Kate and the edges have been distressed with a pair of scissors. I've embellished with sticky gems, ribbon tabs, and flowers. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

This card fits the challenges at:
Sketch and Stash: Sketch and sticky gem stash
The Pink Elephant: Pastel Colors
Secret Crafter: Pink and Green with Flowers
Everybody Art Challenge: Spring

Thanks for stopping over for a visit today. I hope you have a great day filled with lots of sunshine and craft time!

Happy Stamping,

Yummy Fun

Happy Wednesday!

Another week half over, it's going by quickly again! Hope it's been going well for you so far.

We have some exciting things going on at Whimsy Stamps right now that I wanted to tell you about and then I also have a card to share. For the next 2 weeks we are holding a Guest Designer Call to find 2 talented people to join our DT for the months of April and May. Right now over on the Whimsy Inspiration Blog we have an amazing tutorial from the talented Kim Piggott of Cards by Kim using glitter and the Cool Ride stamp set! And then on Sunday this weekend, we will be releasing 3 new carousel horse stamp sets, each illustrated by Crissy Armstrong! Stay tuned for some sneak peeks at the end of the week with some blog candy chances too!

Now for my card...
I used the sketch from Truly Scrumptious on this one with some papers from DCWV's Sweet Stack.  The added challenge was to create something that is good enough to eat. I think these papers are a perfect match!

I went with a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and colored her with Copics. I've added some Stickle accents, taken from Kim's Tutorial, to match these glitter papers. This image also fits the good enough to eat challenge at TS. I've finished this card off with some old ribbons (to fit the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie), buttons, and rose flowers. Then added a sentiment from the Snippets Set 1 available at Whimsy Stamps.

Thanks for dropping over today! Hope you have a great afternoon!

Happy Stamping,

Buttons and Bows

Good Morning!

Hope you're having a great day today! The sun is shining here and the snow is melting...it just might be Spring time soon! Oh wouldn't that be nice. I felt in a Spring-y mood today so I created a bright and cheerful card to share with you.

Ive used Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, Drucilla and colored her with Copics. Please excuse the right foot as it didn't stamp well and now looks a bit smudgy.

I've used the layout from this week's Sketch Saturday challenge with some Lemonade BG papers to fit the challenge over at BasicGrey Challenges. I've distressed the edges on my papers with scissors and then embellished with gems, ribbon, and a button with a hemp twine bow.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Kraftin Kimmie Stamps: Buttons and Bows
Papertake Weekly: Buttons, Bows, Brads, and Bling
One Stop Craft: Optimistically Pink

Thanks for dropping on over today. Hope you have a fabulous afternoon!

Hearts and Flowers and Some Deliciousness

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

I have to tell you that I am very happy today is Friday! Yesterday was a VERY long day. It was a teacher workshop/no school day and let's just say it wasn't the most fun day I've had in a while! I was thrilled to have both kids home, but for some reason they just couldn't get out of each others way or get along at ALL! So, we are back to normal today and hopefully will have a better day. Plus, what's not to love about the weekend starting in a few hours!

Today I have two cards to share with you. First is for Just Magnolia. This week we would like to see you use some hearts and flowers with your Magnolia image to create a project for the challenge. I hope you will join in with us!

I've gone with a soft pastel color palette on this card. I took all my inspiration from these gorgeous cherry blossom flowers, which Bev was sweet enough to share. Now I will be buying myself some! You can get them at Wild Orchid Crafts which also happens to be the sponsor for the JM challenge this week! My papers are BaiscGrey Lily Kate and some card stock in yellow and blue. The sketch is from the challenge at Roses on Paper, although I altered the circle to a rectangle to fit my image.

I've embellished this card with distressed edges, flowers and roses, lace and ribbon, stickles and a heart charm. My image also has some hearts to fit in with our challenge. This card also fits the challenges at:

A Spoon Full of Sugar: Free Style
My Time to Craft: Elegant Rose
Cute Daisy May: Vintage
Cute Card Thursday: Blooming Gorgeous

Next I have my Stamp Something card. This week our challenge was set by out DT member Vicki and she wants to see you use your food images and embellies or papers to create a delightfully delicious something. Unfortunately, Vicki is having some major computer problems so she hasn't been able to post her card! I hope that things will get better for her soon!

For my card, I started with Francesca from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I think she fits the delicious challenge perfectly with those yummy cupcakes! I also used some DCWV Sweet paper with cupcakes on it. The layout is from ICS #51.

I embellished with flowers and roses and some corner punched paper, ribbon, and a charm. I also fit this card to the challenge of "a bow with polka dots and pink" at The Pink Elephant.

Thanks for dropping on by today. Please stop by Just Magnolia and Stamp Something and check out the challenge samples from my fellow designers, great inspiration to be had there! Hope you have a great weekend! Happy stamping!

Simple Charlotte

Hello! Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe the week is already half over! I had planned to stamp all afternoon yesterday, but unfortunately that didn't happen, maybe today! Hope you're having a nice week!

I created this simple card, well for me it's simple. I tried to do the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge which was no embellishments, yeah right! Let's face it, I can not do that! So this is what I came up with instead...

I used Charlotte and colored her with Copics and gave her some highlights with a gel pen. Then I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and some BG Euphoria papers. I really think these papers are great with these fun Kraftin' Kimmie images. I've embellished with pearls, ribbon, and some flowers.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Creative Card Crew and Simon Says Stamp: Punch It

Thanks for dropping by today, hope you have a fabulous day! Happy stamping! :)

Pink Birthday

Hi All!

Happy Tuesday to you! Hope you've had a great day. I've actually been cooking all afternoon and then decided to make a card too, so it's been a nice day.

This card is for no special reason, other than the joy of stamping! And it does fit some challenges too.

I went shopping with my oldest and dearest friend and stamping buddy Janna on Sunday and we got lots of great stuff! I got these pretty DCWV papers called Sweet. They are all glittery and pink and covered in fun! I love them. I've matched them with some SU! card stock in different shades of pink. The image is Francesca from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and she's been colored with Copics on my new Neenah Solar White card stock, which I have to say is awesome!

I've embellished this card with 3 flowers, some metal hardware, 3 buttons, ribbon and a sentiment from SU!'s set short and sweet. This card also fits the challenges at:
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: heavy metal
A Spoon Full of Sugar: 3 papers, 3 flowers, 3 buttons, and one ribbon
Cupcake Craft: Going Girly
The Pink Elephant: Birthday Card

I'm off to eat dinner. Hope you have a great night! Happy stamping! :)

Some Challenge Fun

Hello All and Happy Thursday!

I can't believe it's almost Friday already, this week is just flying on by! Hope it's been a good one for you.

I've had a bunch of things to do lately and not much time for crafting but I made a point to sneak some time in this morning between loads of laundry and work. I also wanted to join in some challenges, so this card was for that purpose too!

I started with the sketch from Sketch Saturday and paired that with some fun Lemonade papers from BasicGrey. I used a new to me Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp that my good friend and stamping buddy Erin gave me for Christmas. I just love these little mischievous girls! They are so fun! This is Drucilla!

I colored the image with Copics and paper pieced her dress and doll. Then I used an oval Nestabilities set to frame her. It was a little tricky to cut her out, but it worked. I also went a little crazy with some glimmer mist and glittered up with image. I embellished with flowers, a button, sticky gems and pearls, ribbon and some white gel pen doodles.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge: Paper Piecing
Cute Card Thursday: All New (use new stash)
One Stop Craft: Begins with B - (blue and button)

Thanks for dropping by today. I'll see you all tomorrow with new projects for Stamp Something and Just Magnolia! Have a great afternoon. Happy Stamping! :)

So There!

Hi All and Happy Thursday!

I'm hoping that today will go a bit more smoothly than yesterday did. It was really just one of those days. I couldn't get out of my own way and all these little things kept popping up to keep things from going the way they should have! But, I hope you had a good day and are looking forward to today.

I have a card to share that I made last night as a way to relax and unwind. I used a new stamp too that I got for myself as a little treat. This is Lilith from the Moonlight Whispers Collection at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I just love her "so there" facial expression! She reminds of my daughter when she doesn't want to clean up her toys!

I've gone with the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches, this is ICS #47. I used some BasicGrey Eva papers and razzleberry and olive card stock from SU!. I've distressed all the edges of the papers. I really enjoy the way this looks and it's a great way to get out some frustration too! LOL! I've embellished with Prima flowers and roses that were sprayed with glimmer mist, love the twinkle that stuff creates. Too bad the photo doesn't show it that well. I also added some sticky pearls to the corners.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge: Sparkle Baby
Charisma Cardz: Anything but Christmas

Thanks for dropping on by today! Hope you have a great day. Be sure to check out the Whimsy Stamps GDT call and all the fun happens including our Advent Event! See you tomorrow! Happy Stamping!

Circle, Circles, and More Circles

Good Morning!

We've been pretty busy here most of the morning, but things are getting quiet now that all the rushing around is done. I hope you are having a good day so far.

I made a card for some challenges that I want to share today. I've also used a new image which I received from my friend Deb. Thanks Deb!

I'm just loving these new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! They are so funny to look at and a lot of fun to color too. I've used this cute Charlotte image from the Moonlight Whispers Collection. I've colored her with Copics and highlighted with a white gel pen.

I've used a take on the sketch at Sketch Saturday. Their sketch was all circles, including the image area, but I needed to use a rectangle to fit the image. I've paired the sketch with some BasicGrey Eva papers with lots of circles and dots to fit the challenge of "Lotsa Circles" at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge. I think this paper and all the circles in the layout and the gel pen dots definitely covers the circles challenge! I've embellished with more circles in the form of buttons, then added some hemp twine to fit the "Strings Attached" challenge at Creative Card Crew. My final accent was to add a couple little charms and some polka dot ribbon.

Thanks for dropping by today! Hope you have a super afternoon! Happy stamping! :)

Thank You

For the Whimsy Blog Hop, please click HERE!

Hi All and happy Wednesday to you!

Hope your week is going well. Things are much better here, the kids are felling better and everyone is back to school and work. Things are slowly getting back to normal and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the germs are all gone!

I made a card last night for some challenges with a fun new image I received from my friend Deb. I love all the images Deb, thanks for sharing with me!

This is a new Kraftin' Kimmie stamp called Francesca. I just love her fun pose and the look on her face! She's been colored with Copics and I added a tiny bit of highlighting with a white gel pen. I've doodled around the image as well.

All of the papers are BasicGrey Lemonade and some SU! card stock in olive, pink, and razzleberry. I've distressed all the edges of my papers and embellished with a tag sentiment, Prima flowers, ribbon, and some sticky gems. Technically my sentiment might not fit perfectly with this image, but I had Deb in mind and wanted to say my thanks to her for sharing some images with me. And it could work for a "thank you for my lovely birthday present" card, right! LOL :)

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day. If you haven't had time for the Whimsy hop to showcase the new release of the Crissy Armstrong Collection, you still have time! Check it out HERE!

This card fits the challenges at:
The Pink Elephant - Be Thankful
Creative Card Crew - doodles
Everybody Art Challenge - distressing
My Time to Craft - tags so much
