Sassy Digi

Happy Friday All!

Boy am I glad it's Friday! This has been a busy, but fun and exciting week too. Our family just welcomed a new little one - our first nephew! We are all over the moon with him - and our kids are so cute with him too. :) Looking forward to watching them all grow up together.

Not much crafting to be had this week, which really seems to be the norm lately. Life is just too busy and crafting has taken the back seat, but I do miss it. We have a new challenge for you at Stamp Something this week, so I do have a new card to share.

Today our SS challenge is our monthly digi day challenge so anything goes with digi products! We have a fabulous bunch of sponsors and prizes up for grabs too, so be sure to hop over and check it all out. I've used an image from our sponsor Sassy Cheryl's! This is Buttercup Suzie, isn't she fun! I've colored her with Copics and then paired her with some BG papers and stitched the edges on the sewing machine. I've embellished with ribbon and flowers.

This card fits at:
Divas by Design -  anything goes
For Fun Challenges - Mother's Day or lots of flowers
My Mum's Craft shop - cute and girly

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Stamp Something Digi

Happy Friday!

Wow, I didn't post all week. Yikes! Can you tell my stamping and blogging time as been all but nothing lately. Things have just been so busy that at the end of the day I collapse on the couch and can't bring myself to do anything else. I hope you have been having a good week and got to do all that you wanted.

Today is new challenge day over at Stamp Something and this week is our monthly Digi Day Challenge. That means anything digi works for this challenge and we have lots of sponsors and great prizes up for grabs! Head on over and check it out!

My card uses an image from Digi Doodle Shop called Baby Boy. I created a laundry line with the images from the set and then colored with Copics. The papers are BG Marjolaine with some green and blue card stock. I've kept the embellishments simple as I wanted this to be all boy. I've added some twine a button, pins, brads, and a crackle paint star with sentiment and gem.

This card also fits at:
Creative Card Crew - for a child
Sisterhood of Crafters - masculine
The Paper Variety - create your own 1-2-3 recipe (1 button, 2 papers, 3 layers)
Digital TuesdayFor the Kids
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Thank you for stopping by today. I'll be back in a bit with another card as today is new digi release day over at Whimsy Stamps!

Emerald Faeries New Release Hop

 Hi All!

Welcome to the new release blog hop to showcase the two new Emerald Faeries available at Deb's Creations! There are 2 super sweet new images being released today, "Isla" and "Willy and Mia" and these new designs are available to purchase now in digital and preorder in rubber!

Our blog hop began today over on DT member Vicki's blog and if you've been hopping along with us, you should be joining me from Ronda's blog. If you just stumbled on to the hop today, please head back over to Vicki's blog and join the fun!

Isla

I have two cards to share, one using Isla and the other using Willy and Mia. These images were easy to color and lots of fun to work with, I know I will be using them again. I want to thank Deb for inviting me along as a guest DT for this release!

For this card I wanted to go for a more vintage feel and so I've distressed the edges of the papers and kept the colors more muted. Sadly, my attempt to color my own flower with reinkers resulted in an orange flower when I was shooting for peach! It does look less bright in person. The papers are BG Curio. I used the new Whimsy Shapeology Double Scallop border die and some vintage seam binding to create one layer, they used a doily on the other layer. The image was colored with Copics and then framed with a crackle paint finished chipboard piece. I added another layer using the clock image from the new Whimsy Time Flies set and did a cracked glass finish on the face of the clock. The final accents are some vintage brads, flowers, and a charm.

Willy and Mia
Next is my card using the sweet pair Willy and Mia, aren't they darling! I colored the image with Copics and then framed it with oval nesties and added some stitching to the edges.

The papers on this card are Memory Box Minuet and I've stitched all the edges with the sewing machine. I also used the Shapeology Double Border die on the edges of the two smaller paper layers. I've embellished with lots of flowers, glitter, and a sentiment from the new Whimsy Spring Letter Seals set. I cut and adhered some butterflies near the sentiment. They were from a piece of paper. And pearls finish off this card.

Thank you so much for stopping at my blog today. The next stop on the hop is the talented Tracey M! Be sure to stop by her blog and see what she has in store for you today. There will be random prize draws along the way so you won't want to miss any blogs! To be one of the random winners of a free digital stamp of one of these new images, you must be a follower and leave a comment on all blogs. Winners will be announced in 2 days time!

Happy hopping!

Whimsy Stamps - Strong Island

Happy Sunday!

Welcome to the second day of Whimsy Stamps sneak peeks at our new March rubber stamp release! Today we are sharing peeks at the 4 new KennyK stamps releasing on Wednesday, March 16th. The DT girls have created some amazing cards, hop on over to the Whimsy Blog for a list of all the sneaks for today!

Strong Island

My peek today is using the stamp "Strong Island" from the latest KennyK Glam Gang images! I love these fun and sassy designs. So many possibilities for cards and scrap book pages.

I colored this image with Copics and then added some paper piercing along the edges of the image. The papers are BG Wander which have a city/street/urban sort of feel to them. I've embellished with satin ribbon and some new tickets from the Treasured Moments Ticket set designed by Ann Vento and then cut them with the Shapeology Ticket Die. Then added a couple metal tabs for a pop of color and an altered chipboard piece with a crackle finish.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. See you tomorrow when I post another new sneak peek! Have a happy Sunday!

Anything Goes and A Digi

Good Morning!

Happy Friday! Hope you've had a good week. Sorry I haven't posted all week, my daughter was sick most of the week and so my crafting time was little. I do have a couple of cards to share today though. Friday brings 2 new challenges, one over at Just Magnolia and the other at Stamp Something.

Stamp Something
First up is my card for Stamp Something. This week we have our monthly digi day challenge which means if it's digital, you can enter it! You can use digi images, papers, digital layouts, etc, but please be sure your project is new. We have many fab prizes up for grabs from our sponsors.

For my card I've used a brand new Whimsy Stamps digi illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. This sweet little guy is called "Whatzup Dog!" and I think he's darling! There are 2 other new dog images and a set of party accessories, that you can use with him or with any other image. And Whimsy is one of our sponsors this week, so you could be a lucky winner and get to pick these new images, if you play along!

I colored the image with Copics in grey tones and added some black as well. The card is simple as I plan to use this for a masculine birthday card later on. The papers are BG Max and Whiskers and I've added some black brads to the corners and a dog bone and paw print piece of ribbon to accent.

This card also fits at:
Creative Belli  - animals
Creative Craft World  - for a male
Sisterhood of Crafters  - ribbon and brads
Paper Playtime - Anything goes with a Digi

Next up is my card for this week's JM challenge which is "anything goes" with the option of glitter. And remember you can use any Magnolia and/or Hanglar and Stanglar images to qualify for the prize.

I've used this Tilda with her lilacs and colored her to match the Graphic 45 papers. I LOVE these papers and need to order more! I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then distressed them a bit too. The image was colored with Copics and then I added some white flower soft to create the white lilacs. I've embellished with swirls of gems and flowers that have been glittered up with twinklet and then some lace and vintage seam binding.

This card fits at:
Fab 'n' Funky  - spring
Scrapbook Sisters - Spring
Simon Says Stamp - recipe - 1 image, 2 DP, 3 embellishments
Anything Goes Challenge - Distressing
Oldie But Goodie Challenge - Spring is in the Air
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Spring - flowers Everywhere!
Craft Your Passion - Girly
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Funky Love

Hello All and Happy Friday!

Another week of Winter down and now a little bit closer to Spring! It is actually a bit warmer than it has been today, maybe even warm enough for the kids to play outside in the snow. It's also the start of a long weekend for us with a holiday on Monday. I hope you have a great weekend ahead!

Today is new challenge day at Just Magnolia and at Stamp Something and both challenges are easy peasy so no excuses not to play along. First up is my card for JM with our theme of "Love You". I decided to use the love theme but not for Valentine's or with red.

The papers on this card are Graphic 45 and I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The image was colored with Copics and then I stamped on some made with much care postmarks from the Whimsy Postage Stamp set. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, a glittery chipboard heart and a heart hat pin. The sentiment is a Love Seal from the Whimsy Love Letter Seals set.

This card also fits at:
Get Funky - Show us your heart
Sliekjes Card Challenges -  love
Oldie But Goodie Challenge - Add a heart
Design Dollies - Love
Cupcake Craft - I heart you - use hearts
KB Cute monday - Love
Lawnscaping - NO DIGS and All About Love
Kaboodle Doodles - Hearts and Flowers

Next up is my card for the challenge at Stamp Something which this week is "Funky Somethings" in honor of our sponsor Funky Kits - the home of Sugar Nellie stamps! I've used a new Simply Sassy image called Hippie Chick and I love her!

For the funky element I've used some bright colors and the combo of pink and orange with papers from BG's Green at Heart pack. I've also stitched the edges on this card too. I colored the image with Copics and then embellished the card with sticky gems, flowers, and twine.

This card fits at:
My Grafico - anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Stitching
Forgotten Scraps -  Spring or flowers
Copic Creations -  use warm colors

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you will check out our challenges and play long! Have a fantastic Friday!

Whimsy Sneaky Peek

Happy Monday!

Wow what a busy day! Our family was on vacation at Disney last week and we just got home on Saturday night so I've been playing catch up. We had an awesome time so it was well worth the extra effort to get things done these last couple of day! Hope you've had a good week last week and that your Monday is going well!

So how have you been enjoying the Whimsy sneak peeks? All of our DT members have been sharing sneaks at our upcoming rubber release over the past few days. Today I have my own sneak to share with you too. This card uses the new stamps "Valerie's Spring Rain" and "Fancy Bench" from the Crissy Armstrong Collection and then "Postage Stamp Sentiments" from our Whimsy Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs.

I stamped my Valerie image and then masked her to stamp the bench. The image was colored with copics and then I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The papers are BG Marjolaine, perfect for spring creations and the edges on that paper have also been stitched on the machine. I've embellished with flowers and pearls and some ribbon. I used the new Postage Stamp die to cut out my postage stamp sentiment and then also stamped the postmark, included in this set, on the top corner of the image.

This card fits the challenges at:
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Critter Sketch - Critters
Kaboodle Doodles - Ribbon
Ooh La La Creations - For someone special
Baby Bud  - Friends
Paper Sundaes  - Two or more images
Catch The Bug - Anything Goes
Little Claire's  - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a great night! I hope to be back tomorrow with another peek, but if I don't make it, I will definitely see you all here on Wednesday for the big release hop!!

Anything Goes and a Digi

Hi All!

Happy Friday! Hope you are having a good week.

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and our theme this week is simple - "anything goes with the option of ribbons". Please remember to use a Magnolia or Hanglar and Stanglar stamp on your creation to be eligible for the prize.

I went for a very vintage feel for this card and used my BG Curio papers, love them! I've colored the image with Copics and then framed it out with Circle Nesties and distressed the edges to match the distressed edges on the papers. I've embellished with flowers, pearls, ribbon, button with twine, eyelets, and a tag with a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

Next up is my card for the new challenge over at Stamp Something. This week is our first Friday of the new month and than means a new "Go Digi" challenge!

I've used an image from Sassy Studio Designs called "Little Honey's Winter Wendy" and I've paired her with some winter themed Bo Bunny papers. The image was colored with Copics and then framed with Oval Nesties. I've embossed the white layer with the snowflakes folder and then embellished with some ribbon and snowflake die cuts (Winter's Jewel 1 from Whimsy Stamps) and gems.

Thanks so much for dropping by today. I hope you have a great weekend. Be sure to stop by the Whimsy blog today to see who is sneak peeking some of the new February rubber stamps!!

Circle of Friendship Blog Hop

Welcome to the Circle of Friends Blog Hop! Thank you so much for joining us today!

If you have arrived from Anneke's blog you are in the right place, if not you may want to start at Crystal's blog so you don't miss anything along the way. If you have been hopping all along with us, you have reached the end of our hop today. We thank you so much for being here with us to support a wonderful friend and crafter!

Our Circle of Friends hop is to show our dear friend Annika Ryan that her Whimsy Family is here for her during this difficult time. Everyone needs a circle of friends, and sometimes, during those hard moments, you need to be placed in the center of that circle and be given a big group hug.  Though we may be miles away, our hearts are with her along with our support.

Today we all have made her a creation to show her how much we care. Please hop along with us to support our wonderful teammate and friend Annika.

Here is the creation I have created especially for Annika using the stamp Love in a Bucket. This sweet image always makes me smile and so I hope it will bring a smile to Annika's face too!

I've used Curio papers from BG and lots of distressing and vintage elements. This is my first card without coloring an image, not sure if I will do it again, but it does create a very different effect. I've embellished with ribbon, flowers, brads, pearls, and a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

If you know Annika and would like to make a creation for her please link your card in the linky feature below, then email Crystal at crystalkbk30@gmail.com, privately and she will give you Annika's mailing info.

This hop will end on February 5th, noon Eastern time so you have enough time to create a card for friend!!

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today!!! Sending you GIANT hugs Annika!

A Sketch and Something Cute

Happy Friday!

Boy what a long week this has been. It was a suppose to be a short week with the holiday on Monday, but then we had a snow storm and the kids were out on Tuesday too. And then a late start on Wednesday due to ice and now it's snowing again! Ahhhh, winter!

Today is new challenge day over at both Just Magnolia and at Stamp Something. I hope you will stop over to the blogs and check out the samples from my fellow teammates and give these new challenges a go!

First up is my card for the challenge at Stamp Something. This week we are sponsored by Sugar Nellie Stamps and so we thought lets go with "Cute Somethings" seeing as all of their stamps are super cute! They kindly donated stamps for our team to work with this week too, but I couldn't resist purchasing one of the new Simply Adorables digital stamps! TOO CUTE!

I printed the image on Neehah cardstock and then colored with Copics. This image was fun to color as there are "cheat" shading areas that really help with where the colors should go. Then I used some new papers that my sweet friend Crystal sent me recently. I love the gingham prints and the pinks and yellows together. I've embellished with ribbon, a charm, and some flowers.

This card also fits at:
Creative Belli  - anything beginning with "P"  - pink papers
Penny's Paper-Crafty – anything goes
Karber Weekly - DIGI STAMP and Ribbon

Next is my card for this week's Just Magnolia challenge. This week we have a fun sketch from our lovely Donalda, who we all missed while she was away. Welcome back sweetie! This is a sketch I know for sure I will be using again as it would work with so many images!

For this card I used two different pieces of paper from the BG Hopscotch pad which were also a gift from Crystal! I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The images were colored with Copics and then I cut out Tilda and popped her on the cupcake with foam tape. I've framed the images with Lacy Circle Nesties and then embellished with ribbon, sticky pearls, flowers, and some glitter.

This card also fits at:
Freshly Brewed - love or Valentine's themed
Simon Says Stamp - choose 3 items in a straight line from the BINGO
Paper Take Weekly - Ribbons and Pearls
Pollycraft - Pastel Colours

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Stay warm!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. It's a long weekend here in the States and so the kids and I are enjoying the day together. Back to business as usual tomorrow though.

I wanted to make a special card for a special friend today so I took out some new papers and some of my Whimsy Stamps and got to work. Last week an amazing package of papers arrived at my door from my wonderful friend Crystal! Thank you SO much sweetie, I love them all!

This image is Valerie's Gift illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. I've colored her with Copics to match these beautiful BG Hopscotch papers. I then used some flowers, a lacy doily, and sticky pearls to embellish the card. The sentiment is from Friendship Tickets also available at Whimsy and I cut it with the Ticket Die.

This card fits at the challenges:

Happy Friday!

Wow, what a busy week. So sorry I didn't post all week. I've been busy working and hanging at home with the kiddos and we've had company all week too. Hope you have had a good week.

Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something! And both challenges are rather easy and fun, so no excuses not to play along!

First up is my card for the challenge at Stamp Something. This week the theme is "Anything Goes - just stamp something!" And we are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps! One lucky participant will win a $15 gift certificate to the shop and can use it to buy anything she likes!

I've decided to use a new KennyK rubber stamp on my card, this is Download Diva. I've colored her with Copics in some soft pastel-ish colors. The layout is from Sketch Saturday and was paired with BG Olivia and MME Lost and Found papers. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine and then embellished with flowers and sticky pearls. The sentiments are from the Friendship Ticket set and were cut with the Whimsy Shapeology Ticket Die.

This card fits at:
AiFactory - anything goes
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - pink, green
Top Tip Tuesday - anything goes

This week our Just Magnolia and Hanglars too challenge is to use "My Favorite Things" and either a Magnolia or Hanglar and Stanglar stamp. I've used another Hanglar that I had in my stash from Deb.

I've colored my image with Copics and then add some Stickles for shimmer. The papers are Fancy Pants and have been distressed with scissors. I've also used the MS hearts border punch. I've embellished with flowers, a glittery heart and button, some ribbon, and a Love Letter Seals sentiment.

Pals Paper Arts - Valentine
Stampin' B's - use a die cut
