Garden Birthday Card

Hi Everyone!

Elizabeth here with a pretty garden birthday card. I was inspired by all of the pink and metallic colors that I've been seeing lately. I thought that combining pink and rose gold would be really pretty and I love how it came out!

To create this card I hear embossed the Elegant Floral Circle in rose gold and used watercolor markers to color them in. Then I used a scalloped hole punch to punch it out. Next, I die cut some pink cardstock with a stitched rectangle die. I embossed a pattern using 3 of the stamps from the Ornamental Flowers set and embossed them in the same rose gold embossing powder. Also, I embossed Happy Birthday in black. Next, I adhered the pink panel to the card base and used foam tape to pop up the Elegant Floral Circle to give the card some dimension. This card would look great in lots of different colors so try it out and see what you come up with!

Happy Birthday Cappucino Card

Hello, DeNami Design Friends!

It’s Lisa P. This week our DT projects are all about layers. Using die-cuts is a fun and simple way to add layers to your cards. And foam tape is a great way to add a 3D effect to this layered look.

My card for today features the NEW CL-E207 Medium Happy-cino stamp, one of my favorites from the most recent release!!!

I die-cut the scalloped rectangle frames from white cardstock. I then cut a 3” x 4” panel from patterned paper and adhered it to the back of the smaller frame. I cut a 4” x 5” panel from patterned paper and adhered it to the back of the larger frame. I mounted the larger frame directly onto a blank kraft card base and then used 3D foam tabs to mount the smaller frame on top. I stamped the NEW CL-E207 Medium Happy-cino image onto a circle die-cut from white cardstock, added color with markers, added sparkle with a glitter pen, and adhered it to the top center of my card with 3D foam tabs. To finish, I die-cut a banner from white cardstock, stamped the sentiment in the center, folded the edges of the banner and adhered it to the card with a strip of foam tape.

Here’s a closer look:

And here’s a better look at the 3D layers:

I hope you like my project for today!

Thanks for visiting!!!

Ice Cream Birthday Card

Ice Cream Paper Piecing Birthday Card

Hi Everyone!

I scream, you scream, we scream for ice cream! I don’t know about you but I love ice cream. Ice cream is great for birthdays and DeNami has this great Ice Cream Shoppe Set where you can create your own ice cream or cupcake treats. I love this set and was waiting for the right time to use it. I recently purchased some pattern paper and thought that it would perfect to use with this stamp set!

Creating this card is simple and fast! My favorite kind of card! First, choose the pattern paper that you want to use for the card. For my card, I chose a pastel plaid for the background, orange stripes for the cone, yellow with hearts for the first scoop and green with polka dots for the second scoop. Next, stamp the images that you are going to use on the paper in black ink. Luckily, these images are easy to fussy cut out because that is next step. To create a nice finished edge on the pieces after I cut them out, I carefully run a black marker around the edges of the images. You will need to cut down the background to your desired and then you can adhere your cut images to background. Next, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in the bottom right corner of the background in a nice black ink. Lastly, I adhered some enamel dots that I found in my stash to the top right corner. Adhere the panel to your card base and voila you have a great birthday card! I hope that you enjoyed my project!

Somebunny Loves You Theme Week- Day 2

Hello DeNami Friends!

Who doesn’t love a cute little bunny?! I know that I certainly do and that is the theme for this week. Of course, my first thought was to make an Easter card. That’s the most obvious choice with Easter around the corner. But let’s face it, I can’t beat the Easter Card that I made last week and I was not about to try! I decided I would make a birthday card instead.

I created the background of the card with the Bunny Tail Trio, Dot Border and Stitched Border stamps. I used grey, yellow and green dye inks on the background. For the main bunny I used the Bunny with Flower and Medium Double Circle stamp. For the circle, I used the same grey dye ink. I kept the coloring of the bunny simple and used Copic markers without any shading. Next I cut out the bunny using a scallop punch. For the sentiment on the front I used the One of a Kind stamp on white cardstock. The inside of the card is stamped with the Small Happy Birthday stamp in black ink. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks card and it inspires you to create a card for that special person in your life that is one of a kind! Until next time!

Be sure you come back tomorrow to see Jung's bunny card!

Same Cards Three Ways Day 3

Hello DeNami Friends!

Today, I created 3 of the same cards in different color schemes using 2 DeNami stamps:  E205 Cupcake Owl Trio and J117 Medium Birthday Circle.

First, I decided what color combinations I wanted to use.  I made a navy/teal, purple/pastel pink, and red/pink card.  On a piece of white cardstock, I stamped the Cupcake Owl Trio 3 times, leaving plenty of space between them.  I used Copic markers to color in the images, keeping in mind the color combinations I decided on.  Then, using my glue pen and sparkle glitter, I added some shine to the poms on the party hats and the heart on the cupcake wrap.  I set that aside to dry.  Meanwhile, I die cut 3 rectangles from white cardstock.  Then, I die cut a circle out of each of the die cut rectangles.  Using ombre inks, I stamped the Medium Birthday Circle around each die cut circle.   Next, I cut out the Cupcake Owls that I had colored.  Using foam tape, I adhered the Birthday circle stamped cardstock on top of the colored Cupcake owls, making sure the owls were in the center of the circle.  Then, I chose 3 patterned papers to match my color schemes and die cut a large rectangle out of each.  I glued the patterned papers to each of my white card bases, and then the Birthday & Owl panel on top.  To finish off my cards, I die cut some twine and small bows in coordinating colored cardstock, and attached it to my card.  I trimmed off the excess, and added some glossy glue to the top of the bows.
