Hello Chickie Tags- Guest Designer

Hello DeNami Friends,

Today we have a special guest from Germany, Anika Lerche. She is an avid card maker and creator. You will see she has a keen eye for color and design. She uses many mediums from colored pencils, to markers to watercolors.

She will be joining us on Fridays for the few weeks so be sure to visit.

Hello, I am Anni and I’m from Germany. For 15 years now I´ve lived in the beautiful city Berlin and I am married. I work as a math-teacher at a vocational college. Making papercrafts is a perfect balance to that.
I have been stamping since 2008, I love clean and simple cards, and yet eventually my cards often turn out to be somewhat more complex. I love the therapy of paper piecing and resist techniques. You can see all my projects at www.anikarten.blogspot.de.

Here's my monster tag projects:

  • I die cut tags from Copic friendly paper.
  • I stamped the birds with Memento ink and colored them with Copic markers. I also created a ground and a sky around them with copics.
  • I choose one color for every bird/tag and left the tag monochrome.
  • I die cut the sentiment from matching cardstock.
  • For some contrast I added black and white twine.

Chickie Vacation Card

Hello!

This is Anna K, from Russia, back to share another fun project with you. Today I am sharing this simple but funny card. I love the Build-A-Chickie Clear Stamp Set  so much and also Happy Mail Clear Stamp Set the first time I saw them. The first idea I had was of two little chickies traveling with their mom/granny/aunt on vacation.

I made three chickies with this set.The left one is carrying the suitcases and his tiny little legs can barely handle the weight of the luggage. The right one is that old aunt in her favorite hat and shoes, with a bag in her arms, pulling the third little chick. In the background you can see an airplane flying as if they are traveling in New York City.

Use your imagination and you can come up with fun scenes using this little Build-A-Chickie set. I had a lot of fun with them.

Thank you for stopping by!

Chickie St Patrick's Day Card

Hello DeNami Friends!

St. Patricks Day is a holiday that is often overlooked. Even in the crafting industry. Lucky for us Nami created some adorable stamps for us to make some great cards and projects. For my card I decided to go with the traditional green theme for St. Patricks Day.

For the card base, I used green cardstock and layered it with a green stripe pattern paper. For the die cut, I used the same green cardstock and white cardstock to stamp my clovers and chickie. I kept the coloring simple using Copic markers. I hoped that you enjoyed my card for today. Don’t forget to visit my blog for a list of supplies. Until next time!

St Patrick's Day Chickies Card

Hi DeNami Friends,

This week our DT's will be creating cards for the St Patrick's Day season. Follow along as you will see their take on this fun and festive holiday. Today, Lisa kicks it off with the Irish Chickies. How cute and simple this will be to make to give freely.
Also, stay tuned for our return guest blogger from Russia, this Friday! See you back tomorrow for Elizabeth's post!
~ Nami

Hello, DeNami Friends!

It’s Lisa P. This week we’re sharing some super fun DeNami Design products that are perfect for making St. Patrick’s Day cards/projects! I couldn’t resist inking up these adorable Irish Chickies for my card!!

I started with an A2 white card base and embossed it with a linen pattern. It’s subtle but adds a nice hint of texture to the white space. I stamped the Irish Chickies and Happy St. Patrick’s Day sentiment onto a white panel, colored the image with markers, and matted it to a slightly larger dark brown panel. I adhered a strip of patterned paper to the left side of the card base and then attached my focal panel with foam squares. To finish, I added a few glittery enamel dots.

Do you make cards and/or do anything special to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? I’ll be whipping up some Irish Stew (one of my husband’s favorite dishes).

Thanks for visiting! Have a great week!

Chickie Congrats Card- Guest Designer

Hi everyone!

 Francine here with a card featuring the Build-A-Chickie stamp set.

OMG… I LOVE LOVE LOVE these chicks! I created them using the Build-A-Chickie stamp set. This set is super versatile! There are different faces, bodies, hats and accessories! There are no limits! You can create tons characters. For my project, I stamped the chicks side by side. I kept the design very simple because I wanted to focus on the colors. I colored the cuties with Copic markers in rainbow colors. To finish off my card, I stamped the “Congrats” from the Monster Celebrations stamp set in black ink and grounded the card with a strip of washi tape.

This was my last guest post for DeNami Design! I hope you enjoyed my creations the last three Thursdays! Thanks so much to Nami! Have a fabulous day!

One Stamp Two Ways Christmas Card

Hi Friends,

Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Some of you are already done! It's not too late to get started on your cards.

Today, DT Val created two variations using the same stamp. For those who like simple, one is just perfect for you. For those of you who like layers and details then she has the perfect one for you.

Follow along to find out how to make these cute cards.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good Morning, Crafters! I've created two similar Christmas cards. One is more simple, and the other has a little more going on on it!
The two stamps I'm using on both cards are Chickie Christmas Trio and Merry Christmas
On this first card (an A2 size) , I created a bunch of layers with the patterned papers, and added the tag with bow.
I die cut the rectangular shaped from a die sets.
I wanted to have a similar card, but more simple, so I made a second one! This one would be much easier to make a bunch of!
This one is smaller than the first one; it's only 3 1/2" x 5". I also rounded the corners on this one.
Thank you for stopping by today, and Happy Crafting!
Funny Chickies Everyday Card
Hi Friends,
Valerie created a really cute card that will tickle you. The color and creativity makes this a unique card.
I love how you can dress up the chickies in all kinds of fun clothes and accessories. The accessories are not even limited to chickies, but you can dress up your favorite DeNami critter.
Here's how she did it:
Hello Crafters! I have 2 hilarious little Chickies from
 DeNami Design for you today!
I created these two using the new Build-a-Chickie clear stamp set. It's such a fun set; you can build ALL KINDS of silly little craetures! The sentiment is the new Looking Forward to Seeing You stamp
Build-A-Chickie Clear Stamp Set - DeNami Design
I added color to the card with Distress Ink pads; I rubbed the ink pads on my craft sheet, spritzed them with water, and dabbed my watercolor paper into the pool of colors. The dies I used to cut the papers are Lawn Fawn's Large Stitched Rectangle dies, Lawn Fawn's Stiched Borders dies, and MFT's Pierced Circles dies
The pretty ribbon comes from this Pretty Pink Posh Individual Twine Spools collection. The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on X-Press IT Blending Card paper, and colored with Copic Sketch markers.
I hope you get this set; it's hilarious to play with!
Have a great day, and Happy Crafting!
Season's Greetings Chickie Card
 Hello Friends!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Since Christmas is around the corner, here is some sweet inspiration. This card shows how to use a tag and make it into a card. You can easily make this an all occasion card by just changing the stamps you use. With as many chickies as DeNami has, the possibilities are endless.
Lisa P gave some wonderful instruction on how you can easily make this card. Even if you have never stamped before, the simplicity will inspire you to make them for all your loved ones.
Here's Lisa's instructions:
This one features several of the new Chickie images, which I absolutely ADORE! This is an A1-size card, which measures 3 1/2” x 4 7/8”
I cut an A1-size panel from white cardstock, embossed it with the DA-1218 Diagonal Stripe embossing folder, and adhered it to a top-folding white card base. I die-cut a tag twice, once with windows and once without. I lined up the two die-cut tags and traced the window outlines lightly in pencil onto the second tag to help me with the placement of my stamped images. I stamped the images within each window (sometimes masking areas to make sure the image stayed within the window), allowed the ink a little time to dry and erased my pencil lines. I colored the images with markers and added a touch of sparkle with a Wink Of Stella Pen. I adhered the tag with the windows on top of the tag with the stamped images using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue. Using a hole punch, I punched a couple of holes in the top of the tag and tied on some baker’s twine. To finish, I adhered the tag to the card front with adhesive foam tabs.
Quick and easy and TOTALLY CUTE!
Hope you like my project for today and feel inspired to create some festive holiday cards to send to your friends and loved ones!
Supplies:
Copic Sketch Markers
Clear Wink of Stella Pen (Zig)
Dies: Stitched Duo 1 (Pretty Pink Posh)
Cardstock: PC21 White (DeNami Design), White (Papertrey Ink)
Adhesive: Scor-Tape (Scor-Pal), Mono Multi Liquid Glue (Tombow)
Chickie Christmas Tag
Hello DeNami friends,
Sometimes you don't have much time to make Christmas cards or you opt to do photo greeting cards, but still want to create something that is from the heart. Tags are a great way to go! You can use them to top off gifts, tie them on a gift basket, on a mug handle or top a cellophane wrapped plate of cookies.
This "No Peeking Chickie" is perfect for making tags. You can also use it to stamp on brown craft shipping paper or on lunch sacks to wrap gifts in.
Our own DT, Lisa E, will share how she made this adorable tag.
Lisa writes:
Hello DeNami friends, Lisa E. back today with another of the newly released Christmas stamps. Today my project features the No Peeking Chickie Circle. I think this little cutie is perfect for your holiday tags!
What a I love about this stamp is that the center circle surrounding the chickie is the perfect size for a one inch circle punch. I stamped the image twice punching one chickie out and popping it up with a thick foam dot. Next I die cut the entire image with a larger stitched circle. I added the Stitched Circle image that fits just inside the die cut stitches. I was a wee bit off on my placement, but I think it still looks cute!
Once all of my stamping and coloring was done I added everything to a pair of large stitched tags (Stitched Duos) by Pretty Pink Posh. A little grosgrain ribbon and a snippet of twine complete my design!
Chickie Christmas Garland Card
 Hello DeNami friends,
It's that time of year again! Time to prepare to bring on the cheer of card making and merry making during the Christmas season.
DeNami has a brand new chickie stamps that Lisa E has highlighted in this post. It is the Chickie Christmas Garland. This stamp can be used by itself or along with other coordinating stamps. You can add pine sprigs to frame the image or stamp several of the Chickie Garlands and cut the elements out and make them pop out with foam mounting tape on the original one.
Add some 3D Clear Lacquer and then sprinkle with Fun Fluff on the fuzzy had trim and on the chickies themselves. It adds soft texture and dimension.
Read how Lisa E made these cards with her simple instructions:
Hi friends! Lisa E. here today sharing a card featuring the Chickie Christmas Garland, one of the newly released Christmas stamps!
This card is a simple one, easily reproduced and flat for mailing. I've added some decorative paper to a white card base. The pretty stitched border is by Pretty Pink Posh. I stamped the image onto a Memory Box die cut label. A touch of glossy accents was added to each bulb and a Glitter Gelly Roll pen was used on the stars. And finally I tucked a tiny sentiment from the Christmas Greetings stamp set and Champagne Rhinestones under this festive trio!
It's great to be back on the DeNami blog! Stayed tuned for more fun projects from the team featuring the new collection of Christmas stamps!
Candy Cane Chickie Treats
Hi DeNami friends,
It's not too early to begin your holiday and Christmas gift making. You can use these delightful stamps to make sweet gifts, but also matching cards. With rubber stamps, you can create gifts at your fingertips!
We are happy to share with your Tammy's happy projects. We love the color and cheer that these bring. Why not make them for your co-workers, teachers, neighbors or friends? When you order the clear boutique boxes, why not order a few extra for those times you need a quick little gift. Also, they are perfect for wedding and shower favors.
Here is how Tammy made these sweet treats in her own words:
It's Tammy, and I have a little "treat" to share with you here on the DeNami Blog!
I used the CB400 Clear Boutique Boxes that come 10 to a pack and filled them with some festive Hershey Kisses!  I added a length of red grosgrain ribbon around the box vertically and secured with hot glue.  Next I used a snowflake Rosette die to create my focal point for the treats.
The real show stopper is our new friend Candy Cane Chickie which I stamped inside a snowflake. After I colored him in, I used the Quickie Glue Pen to add Blue Ice Glitter to his hat and the edges of the snowflake. Once dry he was secured to the center of the rosette and added to the treats.
 Voila, ready for gift giving this season.  These make awesome little teacher gifts for the holidays especially if you have multiple to buy for.  They are inexpensive to create.
Be sure to check out the new release ~ HERE
Thanks for stopping by and have a Fantastic Friday!
~Tammy~
No Peeking Chickie Tag
No Peeking Chickie Tag
Hi DeNami Friends!
Our DT's have been working up a storm with our latest seasonal collection. As the weather is getting colder, it is a reminder of the holidays coming up.
Lisa Petrella created this wonderful "No Peeking Chickie Tag" using the new CL-F245 No Peeking Chickie.
Here are some simple instructions on creating this adorable little tag as shared by Lisa:
I stamped the CL-F245 No Peeking Circle Chickie with TK-ME900 Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto white cardstock and colored him with markers. I then used a circle die to cut out the image. I die-cut two tags, one from white cardstock and one from black cardstock. I stamped the N133 Polka Dot Background with TK-VF082 Onyx Black Versafine ink onto the white tag and set the white tag aside. On the back of the black tag, I measured 1.25” from the top and drew a pencil line. I then cut along that line with scalloped edge scissors and adhered this “topper” to the top of the white tag with glue. I cut the bottom 0.5” from the black tag and adhered that to the bottom of the white tag with glue. I added the No Peeking Circle Chickie to the tag with a foam tab and added a touch of SS02 Extra Fine Sparklets Glitter to the fuzzy parts of his hat. To finish up, I tied on some red and white twine from the TW005 Classic Twine 3-pk.
I hope you like my holiday tag featuring the new F245 No Peeking Circle Chickie!
Supplies:
Markers: Copic Sketch Markers
Cardstock: White (Papertrey Ink), Black (DeNami Design)
Dies: Small Standard Circles (Spellbinders), Tag Sale #1 (Papertrey Ink)
Adhesives: GL01 Quickie Glue Pen (Sakura), 3D Foam Tabs (Tombow), Mono Multi Liquid Glue (Tombow)
