Yes, she is back, shining in my trash can in the garage.  Such a brilliant fairy she is.

Another Trash Can Surprise 03-01-12

What is it with me and trash cans?  It is always a struggle and sometimes a surprise.  Some years ago I posted:

I later discovered the fairy comes back at a certain time of year to revisit the can, located in the same spot in the garage.  So the turban on the roof not only lets in air - it also lets in fairies.

Recently I was in LBeach with the Poodle Prince and went out to put something the trash can and nearly had a heart attack when this came popping out at me.  One cannot expect to have something with a shiny red face jump out when the lid of the can is lifted.  Of course, I had not turned on the garage light and was relying on the faint light coming from the door to the inside hall.  I actually struck out at it with my elbow - good training comes back when needed.   

 
I was tempted to deflate this scary thing, but figured "Hey, it isn't my trash can with a red faced thing popping up whenever I open it."

Another mysterious 'thing' 11-29-11

I don't know why I notice odd things, I just do.  Several years ago I posted this on this Blog:

And a year or two ago I noticed the same phenomena, the "fairy" in the trashcan on just about the same day of the year.   Obviously the trashcan was in about the same location - and still is!

The other day in a parking lot I went to put the key in the car ignition and saw this mysterious light.  Another 'fairy' only this time in the key hole of my car!  How did that get in there? 

 
I moved my hand around to find the light source and discovered that this light is coming through the side window which was partially down.  Why the light was shining at this angle I don't know - I have not seen this before and find it a bit spooky.  I hope I don't see it again.

A fairy in my trash can! 03-28-08

I was out in the garage folding laundry and turned around to see...

a flickering light in the trash can! The thought that popped into my mind was that a fairy had gotten trapped in there. Now, I am not inclined to believe in fairies and the like, so I have no idea where that came from. Not knowing what I would find I stepped over to see inside and discovered that a sunbeam coming through the turbine on the roof was shining just on that spot. No fairy! But it was sort of magical. In just a few minutes the sunbeam moved on and it was just a dumpy old trashcan again.
