Sewing Saturday - Art Journal!

I used a few Art Gallery fat quarters and whipped up a little art journal for her to add her Waterloo memories too! I decorated it with some thickers, a fabric rosette, some flowers from a trim I had and some ribbon and felt!

And I built the insides with some matching cardstock...

I think she liked it! :)

I am garage saling this morning... so much fun!

Sewing Saturday - Quilts!

So the moms have received their lap rag quilts so I can finally post pics!

This is my MIL's made with Basic Grey Origins fabric and some Kona solids.

Sewing Saturday!

Sorry a bit late on this post but I made these little coffee cozies for my sisters cause I love them... they had no idea what they were or were in a state of shock that I actually sent them something! But it is the thought that counts, right?

After I told them what they were, they loved them! :)

Please come back tomorrow for Crafty Sunday!

Edited to add...

I used THIS tutorial from The Cottage House!

Sewing Saturday!

Check this out... Mad About Patchwork has the most amazing chart that she made so you can match your fabric to the right Kona! Not even to mention she has super fast and cheap shipping!

And they come all rolled up and cute!

Can't wait to get sewing with these beautiful Kona solids!

Sewing Organization!

For the little bit of time I do have to sew I thought I would create this book of tutrotials and patterns of projects I want to try! So far so good! I have made the monster pillow, the owl pillow, the coffee cozies and I have the faus chenille blanket and a little purse started!

I just used some purple stampin up cardstock that I would probably never use otherwise and a circle punch and stapler! Easy peasy!

I added a little pouch to the back for the pattern pieces once I cut them out!

Sewing Organization!

So I have outgrown my one drawer for fabric!!

So I went from this...

See that pretty BG origins... that is already a quilt waiting to be washed.

Stay tuned for that!

To this...

The bins are patterns, extra thread & misc, trim and then scraps!

I have been trying to built up my stuff so when I sit to do stuff I have what I need!

I have already thought about a whole sewing room but I would need a bigger house!

Sewing Saturday!

During a super fun little online crop over at Two Scrapbook Friends and because I have almost all my layouts done... I whipped up this little handbag.

Inside... lined with a pocket!

I found it over at Made by RAE and loved it immediately!

I used some of my new Art Gallery fabric and some Papertrey Ink buttons!

Good times!

Sewing Saturday!

Ok so I might not be able to post a sewing project every Saturday but I should be able to for the next few weeks!

I joined a sewing bee (probably not a real one but definitely a fun one) and we are going to gather once a month! And I am picking up fabric like it is oging out of style! I am also working on my first quilt so that should lend itself to a few funny posts of me stumbling through it. I am not going to say who it is for incase it sucks and I can't give it!

I recently had my large machine repaired and tuned so I am excited to hear it hum!

Here is a few of us at our first meet...

Here I am working away!
