Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge

Happy February, friends! Today I have a brand new Stampin' Celebration Challenge to share with you!

DEEtails:
Quite honestly, I haven't been in my craft space for a while... I almost felt like I didn't know what I was doing. In a way, it was nice because I felt like I was looking at my supplies with a new pair of eyes, which may be why a lot of retired product came out for this challenge.

Paper: Poppy Parade card stock, Watercolor Paper, Whisper White card stock
Stamps: Messages for Mom, Perfectly Preserved, Valentine Defined
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Going Gray, Gumball Green, Pacific Point, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun
Tools: Heart to Heart Punch, watercolors

Be sure to take a peek at what the rest of the Stampin' Celebration design team has created.

Bright Love

Today's card was made for the current Embellish Magazine Color Trends Challenge. Fabulously bright colors, right?

Ready for the DEEtails?

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the cute heart garland stamp from SU!'s Valentine Defined set. I matted it with some Kiwi Kiss card stock with a scallop edge border and tucked a piece of Old Olive Striped Grosgrain ribbon underneath. Then I added a Riding Hood Red heart die cut, topped with an Old Olive Designer Button tied up with Baker's Twine. I also added the sentiment, also from SU!'s Valentine Defined, which I inked with Stampin' Write Markers (Old Olive, Taken with Teal and Riding Hood Red) and matted with some Taken with Teal card stock. I adhered everything to a Pixie Pink card for a fun, bright card!

Totally Hues Valentine

I've always admired Heather Pulverenti's ability to create with such interesting color combinations and I was excited to hear that she decided to make a challenge out of it. I certainly don't have the knack that she does, since I'm more a lover of neutrals, but I thought I'd try it out. Check out the colors for the first challenge:

Here are the DEEtails:

These colors are so bright and bold that I just had to let them shine. I used my Sizzix heart dies to create 3 fun heart shapes in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Kiwi Kiss. I attached them to some Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon, which I wrapped around a Bermuda Bay card. Lots of color right?! Then I simply stamped the Valentine definition from the SU! Valentine Defined set, which I matted with some Daffodil Delight, trimmed with a Pinking Hearts Border on one side. What do you think?
