Pixels and Paper........

The inspiration pic for Pixels and Paper this month is just soooooooo gorgeous.  There is just so much inspiration to be taken from it.  I decided to use the line of ladies as inspiration to create my layout in a line across the page.  The photo is of my little grand daughter's new yellow shoes......she loves pink and wanted the pink ones of course but after some convincing she was happy enough with the yellow.   I've toned down the brighter colours to make it a little bit "vintage-y".  tfl

a little bit of patchwork........

I had a little play with a patchwork background for this ATC.  All pretty quick and easy and lots of fun.   You can see how I went about it HERE.

ARTastic..........

Well how much fun I have had playing along with this month's challenge at ARTastic.  I got out the watercolour paints and the few pencils I have left and had a ball with this page.  The story behind the photos is.....I was taking some photos of my little granddaughter on her swing at our place (which I still have to scrap) and she was all smiles and co-operating beautifully when all of a sudden she hopped off the swing and walked off so I kept taking photos hoping she would turn around and give me a smile but no, she had had enough. lol  So when I saw the challenge this month I thought I would create a scene for these photos which probably I would have deleted.  Sometimes it's just those ordinary, everyday little things that count.
I've used the watercolour paints on the background, stippling the grass and brushing on the sky(there are some fluffy white clouds there as well but not really showing up).  Also painted the butterflies and the chippie fence and dipped the ric rac in the left over paint.  The flowers & little people are just cut from some scraps of patterned paper.  I was almost done and had another look at the inspiration picture and inspired by the umbrellas decided to give her some balloons which I coloured with the pencils and also the border.  tfl
