Pop on over to Scrap Jacked to check out the inspiration from the DT for you to have a play with this month. While you are there don't forget to check out the wonderful prize sponsors for December.....
Scrap Friends and Becci from Lime Tree Creations.
This is what I have created this month for my sample page. Trying to do a Christmas photo shoot with our littlest cherub proved to be a "bit of fun".....no way was she wearing Santa's hat.

Friday night's reveal.........
of the first challenge for Dec/Jan went up at Scrap Therapy along with some showcases. This is my 6x12 LO.
My Mum bought Santa and Mrs Claus for my kids in the 80's and they have been displayed every Christmas since and now my Grandkids are enjoying them. So I thought I should get it on record how they became part of our family's Christmas.

A couple of LO's ...........
On Wednesday night, Mandy held her monthly blind scrap over at Scrap Therapy. I wasn't able to do it "live" this time but got into straight away the next day and this is my interpretation of it.
The 2nd letter for the monthly a-z challenge went up last night......the letter "T" and this is my sample page for it. I bought myself a real Christmas tree back in August this year and so far it's still alive. teehee. Can you tell I'm not much of a gardener! Soooooooo hopefully this little tree will be our Christmas tree in the future. I might even put some decorations on it this year.

Let's get Shabby.
Challenge 29 over at LGS is monochromatic (all monochromatic - no black/white or anything else). Well I think I could count on one hand the number of monochromatic LO's I have ever done and can't say that I "love" any of them. I struggle big time with this. So I thought, today's the day.......getting close to deadline time for the challenge (I've never missed doing a LGS challenge but I can tell you I was thinking this was going to be the first lol).
I went with pinks (no idea why) coz when I went to pull out the pink stuff from my stash, I ended up having to get into the paints and inks as well to change colours of things. Anyway it's done and I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out.

Scrap Therapy challenges........
This is my take on Mandy's room (door) challenge for this month.
And this one I did for Julie's sketch using the gorgous G45 Once upon a Springtime. Included in the criteria for this challenge was to use beads so I added 2 little beads taken from a necklace that belonged to this little girl's great grandma (my Mum) but they don't show up too well in this photo. I've attached them to one of the top tags.
and then for the a-z my sample page for the letter "D". Our little fairy door....cute hey.

at Scrap Therapy last Friday night. Julie's sketch challenge went up and it's a beauty. This is what I did for the first letter of the month {M} in the a-z challenge. Let's Get Shabby.............
Challenge 28. This time the challenge at LGS is to be inspired by the picture of a dining room and include paint and flowers. I glued some white heart doilies to my white cardstock and brushed a very pale lemon wash over the top (so pale you can't see it in this pic lol but it's there). I've also painted over the background of my photo to cut out some of the bright colours and of course added the required flowers. tfl
A couple more LO's using Scrap Therapy's ....
MANufacturer of the month (September) - Tim Holtz.
Firstly my page for the a-z challenge - the letter "O". I've used the top of the sponge from the TH distress stain bottle to create a border around the LO.
and another one using the TH reinforcers and some distress stains.

This month at KIU the challenge is to use fabric and stitching and of course a Kraft coloured base.
I've "stitched" a border with some gingham fabric and also machine stitched around the photos.

A couple of layouts .........
Using our MANufacturer of the month (Tim Holtz) over at Scrap Therapy.
The photo on this LO is of my Mum and 2 of her sisters in fancy dress (probably taken in the late 1920's).

and this photo is ME. Not a very clear photo but hey when you get to my age and don't have a heap of photos of yourself, anything looks good. This would probably have been taken late 1960's. tfl

Let's Get Shabby.
Challenge 27 is up at LGS and this month it is to take inspiration from an image in Tallulah Belles store.
It was hard to decide on an image as the colours and displays are all so inviting but in the end I chose this one. http://www.etsy.com/listing/77997010/retro-blooms-handmade-vintage
I took inspiration from the colours obviously first up and then when I got into the LO I used a bingo card and buttons for embellies and stamped a pattern on the background with corrugated card to represent the fine squares of the netting on the flowers. This is my take on the challenge.....tfl

Scrap Therapy challenges.
This is my take on Mandy's room challenge over at Scrap Therapy. I've done the 3rd room and hope to get the other 2 done before month's end. This is little Miss Happy.....
and Julie's sketch challenge.......this is a photo of the oldest one after painting her face with felt pens. She thought she was pretty good and Mum loved it too .
Scrapjacked for August....
The girls over at Scrapjacked have done some awesome layouts again this month. I went with Lisa's LO this month. I ended up adding a backing piece to mine just to add a bit more colour. I love what Lisa has done with hers.
Some more challenges over at Scrap Therapy.........
Last night 2 more challenges for the month went up. I made a start last night on Julie's sketch challenge......totally luv the sketch btw and the first a-z challenge went up as well. This is my LO for it.
More Prima showcases were revealed last night as well.

The first of this months challenges..........
went up last night over at Scrap Therapy. Mandy has shown us some yummy rooms to get inspiration from and check out Tiff's photography challenge. This month's manufacturer of the month is Prima and the first of the DT showcases are up as well.
White with One.
This month's challenge at WW1 is white + purple + doodling. I certainly had to dig deep to find purple in my stash. I had a lovely prima spray and that was about it. I ended up using some old kindy glitz that I had and the ribbon and cord from the flowergirl's bouquet and then had to pinch a purple felt pen from my little grand daughter's stash that she has here for the doodling. The doodled corners look a bit black-ish but they are done in the purple felt pen. tfl

Let's Get Shabby..........
Have I told you how much I luv the challenges that the girls at LGS set? This month's was no exception.......it's all about toile and ticking. I found my toile and ticking both in fabrics and just loved putting it all together. tfl

I've been blind scrapping........
over at Scrap Therapy on Wednesday night. Mandy hosted a great blind scrap and I love how it has turned out. These photos were taken earlier this year of my 2 little GD's playing "doctors" ... well at least the oldest one was, the little one just went along until she'd had enough of having her blood pressure taken and needles and heart checking (well face checking lol).
I've also done another one of the rooms in Mandy's inspiration challenge.
We're all getting ready for another challenge starting over at Scrap Therapy next month. So more challenges to "play" with and some awesome prizes which is always a bonus. tfl

Kraft It Up.
The challenge this month at KIU was to take inspiration from a gorgeous picture of cupcakes on a plate. My DD made some cute little koala cupcakes for Missy's end of term kindy party so I thought I would scrap them. Missy had her face painted and I made the mistake of thinking she was a cat....WRONG she's the Easter bunny of course.

Let's Get Shabby are celebrating their 2nd birthday.....
this month. Happy Birthday . I'm a big fan of LGS and having been playing along since they started but I must say I was a bit challenged by their challenge this month......why? because there is a list of alllllllll my fav things to use on your creation and I could only pick 2. A lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I decided to use chipboard and lace. You also need to take inspiration from that cute little pic (I tried to incorporate the blue/silver/white and twine) and use the number 2 on your project. This is what I ended up with. tfl.
