Time for a revamp...............
Over at Scrap Therapy Bec has set a surprise challenge.....find a photo that you love that you have scrapped before (preferably a while back) . Revamp or recreate the LO in your current "style" using that photo. It's so interesting to see how our styles change. This is my recreated LO as I didn't want to revamp the old one as it is part of a double and I still love the old LO's for what they are and the time that they were done.
AFTER...............
and this is the before LO. I can't believe I could have left it so - so spacious lol. I couldn't do that now although when I went thru my album and came across the double LO I still "love" it.

Scrap the Girls - March entry...........
This is my "take" on the challenge over at Scrap the Girls for this month. The challenge was to use a picture as inspiration and use the word friend, friends or friendship in the LO title. My main inspiration came from the colours......I loved the red, beige, pink, white and black combo. This is Missy all dressed up to celebrate her birthday with her little friends from playgroup. tfl.

I'm a.............
BIG sister......a Scrap Therapy big sister that is. Along with 3 other lovely ladies Scrap Therapy has appointed me a big sister. This has been my online home for forever so I was very happy to accept the position. Basically it's just to help out in the forum and take on some guest DT work as well, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Some monthly challenges...........
This is my Year in Review LO for February at What's Old is New. You can join in anytime. It's a great way to make sure you record something in your life for each month. We had lots of rain in February and I know I shouldn't complain about the rain but we were starting to wonder if we would see the sun anytime soon. I was so over it by the end of the month......now that the sun is shining brightly, it is sooooo hot and some rain would cool things down.....never happy, I know.
This is for their monthly sketch challenge for March........just use the sketch and add the word "love" to your title.
Over at Scrap Therapy their monthly theme is "GOING GREEN" and you can take this anyway you like.....recycling or St. Patrick's day or whatever you like. This is my take on the sketch challenge and I dipped into my "might be handy" box for some recycling stuff. The background is the ever handy pizza box, the strips are "green-ish" strips of pp from my stash and the photo matt is a leftover piece of that rubbery non-slip shelf lining stuff (you know the stuff I mean).

I loved the colour challenge this month.....olive/chocolate/kraft and rain (did I say rain). Gorgeous colour combo. Once again there is that handy pizza box for the background/border and I painted and inked some of that foam packaging around the pawpaws for the stick stuff down the bottom. tfl I still want to get the journalling challenge done for this month as well but there is still plenty of time to get the challenges done.

The March challenge is up at...................
KIU and for this month's challenge you need to create a LO using Kraft and also have a mixed alpha title........too easy. You have until 31st March to get your entry in. Check out the gorgeous work from the DT. Here is mine. Some of the photos are a little blurry but I just had to scrap them. It is so funny to watch Missy's face change so quickly when you ask for a happy, sad, angry, surprized face. Too cute.
Let's Get Shabby Challenge 9..........
The challenge this month at Let's Get Shabby is to make a shabby garden project , include a quote from Alice in Wonderland and have a variety of at least 5 flowers. Well I just couldn't go past this photo of me at a "Fancy Dress Ball" when I was about 5 or 6. Didn't I make just the cutest lil' Queen of Hearts. I took my quote from Chapter 11 Who stole the Tarts? when the King asked the white rabbit to read the accusation.....and he began..."The Queen of Hearts, She made some Tarts, all on a summer day:"
My dear Mum made my costume and some real jam tarts on a plate as well. I printed out a larger photo onto white cardstock. Look at my hair.....all curly.....I probably would have had it in curlers for the day. lol
I've used a few more than 5 varieties of flowers so to make them all blend a little better I touched a few of them up with some cream paint just to bring it all together a little and to "shabby" it up a bit more.
