there is still time to get your entry in for this month's challenge at Kraft It Up. All you need to do is a LO on kraft with a Christmas photo scrapped in non-traditional Christmas colours and incorporate knots into your LO. Entries close midnight on the 31st December.

Let's Get Shabby......challenge 19.

The challenge this month at LGS is to be inspired by architecture. Pop on over and check out the gorgeous photo to be inspired by. Whenever I see old ruins I think of them as a sleeping beauty so I immediately thought of this photo of our newest little missy. Add the cracks in the old building and I just had to make a double LO (12x 12 beside a 6 x 12) and include the piccie of her "cracking up".......I really think she was due for a feed rather than being over the photo shoot coz she is such a placid little baby.....the only time you hear from her is when she is hungry.

I cut up the lace to form small arches, added a left over piece of a chippee archway, cut some scallops from pp for along the bottom and added a generous amout of crackle paint all over the LO to add some cracks and inked and distressed over for ageing. I totally loved this challenge....... thanks LGS.

Get Picky sketch no. 3................

This is my take on Get Picky's sketch this month. I wanted to get a "pretty face" photo of our missy in her Cinderella costume but first we had to go through the "kooky" faces photos. lol. I finally did get a lovely photo but will save that one for another LO. tfl.

White with one............

The December challenge at White with 1 is white + grey + masking. I llllloooovvvveeed this colour combo this month and the DT examples are so inspiring. This is our newest little missy on the day she came home from hospital. Gotta luv that headband, hey! tfl

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..........

at Let's Get Shabby this month. Your creation needs to include your fav Christmas song/carol/hymn either in the title or somewhere noticeable. I love this song (can't get it out of my head atm) Must say I don't know all the words. This is little missy helping to decorate our tree on Dec 1 after she had a sleep-over the night before. Mind you, we were putting up the tree around 7am- fun,fun,fun. tfl

Some yummy goodies I ordered from Scrap Therapy (got here soooo quick). I needed a couple of new albums and some refills. Got some bargain papers on sale and some new yummy thickers (could have bought a lot more but I was good) and Prima notecards (gotta luv prima) and of course how can you place an order for scrappy goods without a few more trims.

Kraft It Up......December challenge.

The new challenge is up at KIU and this month you need to scrap a Christmas photo in non-traditional Christmas colours and use knots somewhere on your LO. Each year I buy my little grand-daughter a special decoration for her tree so this year it was a cute little tinkerbell. Had heaps of fun using a turquoise/orange/black &white combo for this challenge. I added some very shiny "pixie dust" lol but in the photo it has come out a bit "blob" like. lol tfl

I loved working with this sketch from Get Picky. Decided to go with the 8.5 x 11 format which I really love doing. tfl

White with 1.....November challenge.

This month the challenge at White with 1 is to use yellow with white and to journal directly onto your LO. I used some photos of Missy with her witch's hat.....whenever she puts it on she always tells us she's not a bad witch, just a good one.......so I had to have the title "always the good witch". tfl

Let's Get Shabby............

this month is all about "raiding your sewing box". 3 items need to be obvious from your sewing box and one of the items is pin/s. So my other 2 items are a broken needle threader and the red cotton used to stitch the border. I have included buttons on the LO as well, but all my buttons have made their way to my scrapping stash now - so they are not reeeeeaaaalllllyyyy in my sewing box. This is probably the longest time I've spent on a LO as I started it a little while back but have not been overly well the last couple of weeks so it has been a real work in progress. I made this little spotted skirt for Missy to wear to her Christmas break-ups and possibly Santa photos as well so thought this would be the perfect photo to scrap for LGS sewing theme. tfl.

Let's Get Shabby......challenge 16.

This month's challenge at LGS is in 2 parts.....firstly to take inspiration from 1 of 2 images of gorgeous kitchens and secondly to follow a recipe using 1 piece of fabric (I cut a scalloped edge piece of stripe fabric), 2 die cuts (mine are the arrow and the flower under the pink flower button which almost didn't get in the photo lol) and 3 colours from your chosen kitchen and make them dominant. I chose kitchen number 2 and the colours of pink, green and yellow were dominant to me.

I thought this photo of little missy having a cup of tea and a very milky one at that was perfect for the challenge and as soon as I saw kitchen number 2 I thought of that yummy prima packaging that I had so used that for the background and for under the photo. tfl

October's challenge at Kraft It Up.................

This month the challenge over at KIU is to use the sketch provided and kraft of course. You are free to interpret the sketch anyway you see it. Pop on over and check out what the DT have done this month..........amazing LO's for sure. I had a bit of fun scrunching up my kraft then dry brushing it with a cream paint.

September's challenge is up over at ...........

Kraft It Up and this month you have a picture as inspiration for your creation. All you need to do is use Kraft and your imaginiation and ta -dah your entry is done. lol. The first thing that caught my eye in this picture was the walls so I set about gouging (sp) out some of the corrugations (I think I left every 3rd one) of the trusty 'ol pizza box (gotta luv 'em). I then splashed it over with cream paint and inked to highlight. The colours in the pic and the banner are a great inspiration as well.

The frame on the wall inspired me to add a frame to my photo.

Let's Get Shabby...........

Challenge 15 is up at LGS and this month it is all about MUSIC........use music papers/notes etc on your creation. These are some still photos I took from a video I took of my little grand-daughter who just llllllooooovvveeesss the chipmunks and chipettes. Here she is belting out one of the chipette's songs. So cute....she doesn't know all of the words and just throws her own in but she is always in tune so we know what song she is singing. lol tfl

It's getting towards the end of another month........

It's a colour challenge this month......you need to create a LO using green, black and yellow and kraft of course. A couple of LO's I did over the weekend.........

for the cybercrop over at Scrap Therapy. A new challenge this month is a "bowerbird" challenge so we had a list of things to use. I tried hard to stick to the list and this is what I came up with.
and this one is for the sketch challenge. This month ST is all about "handmade" so handmade elements are to be used on the LO's. I have a little crocheted flower that went a bit out of whack (but hey I haven't crocheted in a long time) and made the gingham frame. tfl

It's cybercrop time again..........

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE.........check out this Prima in the shop and the word is that there is more yummo stuff on its way.

Here are a couple of the monthly challenges I've done for

Scrap Therapy. Firstly the sketch challenge......yep this is lil' old me waaaaaayyyyy back when I was a teenager......pretty cool huh! lol We had to include a handmade embellie (coz handmade is the theme this month at ST). So I got out the crochet hook and made the little yellow flower and cut the gingham scallop across the bottom for my handmade embellies.

This one is for the colour challenge and we had to include at least one of the flowers from Bec's tutorial on the LO. They are great little flowers to make (so I made 2). tfl

Kraft It Up and this month it is a colour challenge. You need to use Kraft of course and the colours green, yellow and black. This is what I created for this challenge. Let's Get Shabby Challenge 13..................

LGS are celebrating their 1st birthday (congratulations to the team) so their challenge this month is to make a shabby birthday creation with obvious stamping on the project. Weeeeelllll, I don't have a lot of stamps, nor am I a very good stamper BUT I do luv stamping if that makes sense and if it's messy it doesn't really matter to me. On this LO I've managed to use a few stamps - firstly the dotty one on the background and the music note one on the kraft c/stock under the photo, the 2 different alphas, the heart stamp around the frame and then I used paint on my fav journalling stamp and randomly stamped all over the LO, using some for journalling and some just for decoration. It's a brand new month and a brand new challenge at.......

Kraft It Up. This month the challenge is to create a LO (any size) using 4-6 photos of any size and Kraft of course - eeasy peeasy - The entries last month were amazing and so inspiring, so can't wait to see what you all come up with for this month. Pop on over and check out the creations from the other CT girls (F A B U L O U S ). This is what I came up with.

Being an 8.5 x 11 size I used the bit off the side of the 12x12 sheet to make a little fold over piece so I could add another photo inside. tfl

Scrap the Girls...........

I was so thrilled to be asked by Kate over at STG to be the featured scrapper for June. This month the challenge is all about birthdays - scrap your girly birthday photos and use 3 or more mixed alphas in your title. This is what I created for the challenge. tfl and thanks to Kate.

Let's Get Shabby - challenge 12..............

The challenge this month at LGS is to base your project around paint, chipboard and lace. Another OTP for me (quite rare) lol but I decided to transform this box into a little keepsake box for my Grand-daughter for her kindy projects next year.
A little fence from those rub on sticks and some handcut grass that I watercoloured. I painted the outside of the box with a pink paint then put a wash of antique white over the top and rubbed it back. It came a bit "creamier" than what I wanted but in the end I quite liked the overall creaminess with the white lace. I lined the inside of the box with some gingham fabric using spray adhesive and then hand drew and watercoloured the words for the inside lid.

A couple of challenges done.........

For my Year in Review LO for May I decided to do a pocket LO so I could put my Mother's Day cards in and decided just to pop some photos from the day in it as well. You can find the challenge here and you can join in at any time.....just play catch up.
The theme over at Scrap Therapy this month is all about numbers. This is my take on the sketch challenge set by Bec. I had some pics of Missy scrapping at my (I mean her) desk so I thought I would use this sketch to get a few photos on the page.

Claytons Retreat...........

Well over at Scrap Therapy we are holding a Claytons Retreat (you know the Retreat you are having when you are not having a Retreat). A lot of the girls are enjoying themselves at a Retreat IRL so for the ones that didn't go, ST are setting some challenges for the weekend.
This was Bec's challenge.....a bowerbird challenge. We were given a list of items to gather from our stash and put together on a LO. Not as easy as it sounds, but it was heaps of fun once I decided how it was all going to fit together on a LO.
This one is Jodi's sketch challenge. The top house is the first house my Mum and Dad lived in together and the one on the bottom is where they moved to after that and continued to live for the rest of their lives with a few renovations of course. I think this photo was taken around 1976....the top one around 1956.

This is my sample LO for the monochromatic challenge......it could be done on a white or black background or in your chosen mono colour.
