Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #97...Monochromatic

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca
Happy Friday everyone!  It is time to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design ChallengeThis time around for Challenge #97, the theme for the next two weeks is Monochromatic.  While this can be a tough one sometimes to work around, the results can end up beautiful.  Remember that when creating a card with a monochromatic colour scheme, not only can you use your main colour and shades of that colour but you can also use the bonus colours of black, white, and skin tones.

Here is my card, I hope that I haven't forgotten any important details:
General Information:
  • I had to think about this one for a while.  Then when I came across Pattie's beautiful wedding cake, I knew exactly what to do.  So for this card, I'm going with shades of pink as my main colour choice.  Okay so I have taken creative licence and coloured my leaves with a deep shade of pink but I think it still works.  Now I just have to hope that someone I know getting married REALLY likes the colour pink!

    • It was coloured with Copic markers.  Cake:  colourless blender, R000, R00.  Base: R00, R02.  Cake Decorations:  RV10, RV13, RV14.
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • I added the word 'Congratulations' just above the image before printing it out, choosing a font that would compliment the sentiment on the inside.
Embellishments:
  • The paper roses are from a stash that my good friend Naomi sent me awhile back.
  • The ribbon and the little fabric heart are both Crafts brand and were purchased at Dollarama.

Challenges I am hoping to enter...
I really hope that you will join us sometime during the next two weeks.  Don't forget that along with all the typical rules that apply to the majority of challenges out there (please click HERE to become familiar with all the rules), you MUST USE A DIGITAL OR STAMPED IMAGE to qualify for the drawing (unless stated otherwise).  We would absolutely love to see you use a Pattie's Creations (PC) image on your card, but you are allowed to use other images.  If you do use a PC image, you will gain an extra entry in the draw and will have a better chance to WIN!  You can enter twice per challenge and of course MUST follow all the challenge requirements that are posted for each challenge. Easy Peasy right!

As always, I hope that you will also check out what my fabulous teammates have offered up for inspiration and pop over in two weeks time for the next challenge brought to you by Team Pattieboop.  Oh and don't forget...Pattie offers up a new freebie the first Friday of the month.  So, be sure to add the date to your calendar so you don't miss it!

Until next time,
