HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY 2023!

I know I missed last year completely but I am going to TRY and post some freebies when I can throughout the year in honour of special occasions. In the case of today, it is to commemorate the day of love.

I designed two different frames. Check them out...

https://app.box.com/s/ejbp2iql6k3m14tr5jwg

These digital frames are 3600 x 3600 pixels, in png format and published at 300 dpi. Just in case you think that it is too much having the word collage in each of the hearts, I created a second one where it alternates. This way you get a choice. The centre of each frame is transparent so you could add a picture, a digital image, a complimentary patterned paper or even another sentiment. The frames could be used for cards, scrapbook layouts or even in a journal.

Credits include: Creative Fabrica Crafts (via Creative Fabrica) and Designious (via Inky Deals). To grab it, click the download button to be taken to a download location. In the zip folder you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

I hope that you have the opportunity to spend some time today with people that you love; or, if you happen to be on your own, do something to show yourself some love! I will be spending the evening with my hubby! We're going to watch a romantic movie and nosh on Hors d'oeuvres all night!

Until next time,

http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/monday-greetings

Whoop!  Whoop!  I'm so happy to let you all know that I am sponsoring the latest challenge over at the Outlawz Challenge Blog.  This is my third challenge sponsorship this year.  While you do have to sign in, it is free to be a member of Outlawz and there is a different challenge every day of the week to keep you busy.  Every Monday it is the Greeting Cards Challenge.  That is the one that I am sponsoring this week.  The rules of the challenge are that your project must have a greeting/sentiment on the outside.  The theme this week is Sentiment to the LeftThe weekly winner is announced at the beginning of the following week and the prizes are awarded monthly.

Since this challenge was kind of wide open, I allowed DT members to choose from any of my goodies for their projects and I'm anxious to see what they came up with.

Here are the prizes I decided on for the winners...

PLUS
Three Sentiment Kits of the person's choice

The papers were offered up as prizes during a treasure hunt on my blog last year so a handful of you already have at least some of them.  The papers and frames have also been offered up as prizes during a giveaway on a friend's blog to help her celebrate a milestone.  The tags are a brand new addition to this collection.
  • One person will receive all the prizes listed above (the three sentiment kits will be chosen from existing designs listed on my design previews page which you can find HERE.)
  • One person will receive the paper set.
  • One person will receive the frames set.
  • One person will receive the tags set.
  • One person will receive their choice of three sentiment kits (location listed above).
That is a total of five different prizes!  I hope that you'll consider playing along in their challenge.  To help provide some incentive, I am offering up one of the frames from this kit as a freebie.

Freebie Alert: Happy Birthday to My Hubs!

Today is another very special day in the Décosse household and as such deserves a very special shout out.  Today my hubs celebrates his --th birthday.  Don't want to start a war by telling you all how OLD he is.  Hee, hee.

Without this man, working hard in order to put food on the table, pay the mortgage, and keep me in crafting supplies, there would be no way I could do what I do everyday.  Additionally, it is his love and support that allows me to create and also spend so much time with all of you.   I am so very lucky and I know it.  He is such an incredible man and my world would not be the same without him in it.

So, I want to wish my amazing hubby a very happy birthday and in honour of that celebration, I've got presents for all of you.  Everyone should get to celebrate today.

Here is a birthday balloon frame that I made based on a public domain image.  It is 1500 px by 1500 px and published in png format.

Then I'm giving you the same wordart creation that I did on my own birthday a few days ago, only in three more glitter colours; so now, you'll have a set of six.  If you missed those freebies, click HERE.

Finally, I've got a journal card book plate for you...

 It is roughly 4 x 6 inches.

I hope that you can make use out of one or more of these birthday related goodies.  As always you can find the credit information in the credit notes below.

I was hoping to get another post out today but I'm running really late as it is.  I need to get all dolled up for the hubs as we are going out to supper with my parents who are in town for one more night.  I've got a couple more posts coming out tomorrow so I'll see you all again soon.

Until then,

Wonderful Wednesdays and a Merry Christmas!

Hah!  And you guys thought I probably forgot about you this month.  Well, to be very honest it was touch and go as to whether I'd actually get the items for the December kit created and posted while it was still December!  However, fate stepped in and gave me just enough time to be able to create this post and get it out to you.  Now since it is Christmas Day, I am counting on Blogger to uphold its end of the bargain and publish this post as scheduled.  I hope that for those of you who celebrate Christmas, you have enjoyed it immensely.  I say 'enjoyed' because I can't see too many people popping in today.  However, if you are here today, I hope that you are having a splendid day and I thank you for coming by to see what I have available; and, on that note, let's get to it shall we?

This month's kit is called...December Delights

I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas so if you are one who doesn't, I hope that there will at least be an item or two that you can use.  I also know it is too late for this year but since people work on their Christmas cards all year long, I know that some of you will be able to make use of a few of these items, real soon!

First up, I'll start with the usual, some Lovely Lettering wordart depicting the name of the month...

These word art creations are all made with fonts free for commercial use.  They are in png format and published at 300 dpi.  The three bottom ones have been altered with layer styles from Shelby Kate Schmitz of graphicssoft.about.com.

Okay, it is time to move on to some Paper Play...

I don't know about you, but I have always really liked the combination of black and cream.  While they aren't traditional Christmas colours, I still wanted them to be part of the December kit.  I have provided you with three different papers all variations on the same theme.  You are welcome to one or all, it is up to you!  The picture of the ornament is from George Hodan and is available over at PublicDomainPictures.netEach of the above papers (actually all the papers presented today) have been altered with layer styles from Shelby Kate Schmitz.

Next up are a couple more papers, this time with traditional colours...

As usual, all of these papers are 3600 x 3600 pixels (i.e. 12 inches) and are published at 300 dpi.

I've created a couple of Radical Ribbons that work with the above two papers, on their own or with anything for that matter that you can make them work with!  You can see the detail better if you click on them to bring them up into the lightbox.

That leaves me with just a few minutes to add a couple Fantastic Frames.  A few people really liked two of the recent frames I showcased in creations posted last week so I thought I'd re-size them and throw those into the kit as well.

As usual, everything is published rather large to accommodate scrapbooking.  You can always reduce the size without distorting the image. These particular frames have been created using shapes and altered using layer styles from --you guessed it--Shelby Kate Schmitz.

I can not believe that a year of mini kits is done.  I've gone from a complete mish mash of objects at the beginning of the year to kit names and a bit more of an organization, towards the end of the year.  Incredible, the difference a year can make in design, learning, or life in general.  I hope that you enjoy the last kit of the year.  I'll be back in January to start building on last January's kit.  Of course that is just for Wonderful Wednesdays, I'll be back in general in just a few short days.  I've been working rather hard this past year and I think that I've earned a few good days away from the computer spending some quality time with the hubs and other family and friends.

Until next time,

  • Leave a comment on my blog.  It is currently the only way for me to know if any of my freebies are being nabbed.  Additionally, it will help to inspire me to continue to create and offer future freebies.
Bonus: If you've actually made it to the end of this post I have a little bonus item for the December kit.  It is a date stamp in a red shade that should complement other offerings in the December kit. Hmmm...I'll have to put my thinking cap on and figure out what next year's bonuses will be.
