Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #134...For the Girls--Use a Feminine Image

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hey folks! I'm here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #134, the theme is For the Girls--Use a Feminine Image. With Mother's Day coming up it's the perfect time to create a card with a feminine image. Additionally, there is always a need for birthday cards, thank you cards, friendship or thinking of you cards for the many ladies in your life!

Here is my card, I hope that I haven't forgotten any important details:

General Info:
  • This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). I will print it out and assemble it a later date.

FRONT

Digital Image Details:
  • Angel With Roses: Such a lovely image. You can find it in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the name or watermark linked below.
  •  This image has been coloured digitally using Rebelle and the background has been paper pieced. Credits include:
    • The 'wallpaper' is paper pieced with a paper from the On Angel's Wings kit designed by Jen Reed, available at {Computer} Scrapbook.com
    • The 'floor' is created using a wooden shelf from FW Studio

    OVERALL
    Digital Paper Products:
    • The majority of the papers used are from the Romantic Roses kit (designer unknown). The paper used for the background on the inside is from the On Angel's Wings kit designed by Jen Reed. Both of these kits are available at {Computer} Scrapbook.com.

    Digital Embellishments:
    • I have used basic shapes in Photoshop Elements to create matting in behind the image and the sentiment.
    • I have applied shadow layer styles to give certain elements some depth. These styles were designed by Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.

Challenges I am hoping to enter...

You have until June 1st to enter our challenge which should give you lots of time to get a creation done. Remember the theme is For the Girls and you must use a Feminine Image. I really hope that you will be able to join us. You can enter twice per challenge and of course MUST follow all the challenge requirements that are posted for each challenge (please click HERE to become familiar with all the rules). In addition to all the typical criterion, you MUST USE A DIGITAL OR STAMPED IMAGE to qualify for the drawing (unless stated otherwise). We would absolutely love to see you use a Pattie's Creations (PC) image on your card, but you are allowed to use other images. If you do use a PC image, you will gain an extra entry in the draw and will have a better chance to WIN!  Easy Peasy right!

Pop over to the challenge blog and check out what my fabulous teammates have offered up for inspiration. Oh and don't forget...Pattie offers up a new freebie the first Friday of the month and it will remain up for approximately two weeks; so, be sure to pop over and check it out as well!

Well guys, that is it for this one. Hopefully I will see you all very soon. I miss you guys!

    Until next time,

Card Design: Ike's World Challenge #16...Things with Wings

A lovely early Tuesday morning to you all.  It is time to share the new Ike's World Challenge.  This fortnight the theme is Things with Wings.  It is the perfect time for me to get another Christmas card added to the pot.  This will make it two for April which means that I've met my personal goal this month for the 12 Months of Christmas link up.  I especially like that I've managed to come up with a non traditional holiday card.  I always enjoy when my brain thinks out of the box.

Christmas Card Count to date: 8

Remember, you can join in Ike's challenge with a creation using any kind of medium or style but in order to qualify to win the prize you MUST use an Ike's Art image. You can find some fab ones in the store HERE.  There is also a freebie available over on the challenge blog that you can use to enter the challenge but please be respectful of the artist's rights and do not post, pin or share the image with anyone else. Instead, if you know some people who might like it, send them over to the challenge blog so they can pick it up for themselves.

    Here is my project...

    FRONT
     Digital Image Details:
    • Angel 2: You can find it in the 'People' section of the Ike's Art store or by clicking on the name or watermark below.  I thought that this image suited itself so well for a nice peaceful Christmas card.  I am glad my instincts were correct.

      • I have coloured this image with Copic markers.  Skin:  E000, E00, E02, R20.  Hair: E21, E23, E25.  Dress: R32, R35.  Rock: C1, C3, C5. Wings:  Iridescent coloured glitter.  The overall image was grounded with the colourless blender and BG000.
    Embellishments:
    • The flowers are from a stash I got from my momma.
    Punch:
    • The edging on the brown paper that I used as a decorative strip is an EK Success punch I believe.  There is no name on the punch so I am not 100% sure.
