Wonderful Wednesdays--Offering for September

If you are new to my blog and want to know how this concept got started, you can find the original post by clicking HERE

Hello all.  Once again I managed to pull off getting an offering done this month.  I've actually managed to get something done for each month of the year so far, although I was a bit late on one.  YaY!  Just two more months to go before we start all over again in 2016!

If you are new to my blog in the past year, you can find other items for the September kit by clicking on the respective links below:

September 2013

  • The word September offered up as a word art creation, paper pieced with five different fall images. Click HERE.
  • Five different digital papers (including the leaf paper I use and love so much).  Click HERE.
  • A leaf spray.  Click HERE.
  • Three different fall themed word art creations.  Click HERE.

Boy I was busy that month!  For 2015, I am offering up another digital paper in two different versions for the September kit with the theme: Fall Into Fall...

https://app.box.com/s/3991ufzq89ina8idaeox9o2esbycde08

I had the original image of the leaves rotating with other images on my desktop and the more I've been seeing it these past few weeks, the more I realized that it would make a nice paper.  This paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels and in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include:  George Hodan (PublicDomainPictures.net).  I've also had fun this time around using a Redfield filter and then running the image through a painting application in FotoSketcher.  While the program is completely free, some of the Redfield filters do cost money.  To grab today's offering, click the download button to be taken to a download location.  In the zip folder you will find a copy of the papers, the preview sheet, the full credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Finally, you can find your bonus stamps for September below.  O
nce again, when going through the resources offered in 2013, I couldn't seem to find the round date stamp in a post even though I it was made so I've included that one here as well.  You can just left click on these ones to bring them up in the lightbox and then right click to save them in their original size.

Stay tuned for a new Wonderful Wednesday post coming next month!

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesdays: Winsome Words for September

If you are new to my blog and would like to know how Wonderful Wednesdays got started, please click HERE.

Hey Peeps!  It is time for the final items for the September kit.  Continuing with our Fall Into Fall theme, I present you some Winsome Words...

I'm having so much fun learning about layers which is allowing me to finally do some really neat word art.  All three of these word art creations are in png format and while the original size of each is quite large in order to accommodate scrapbookers, you can always re-size the images smaller without distorting the quality.

I hope you like my final offerings for this month's kit and can find some use for them.  If you have missed the previous ones, or if you are new to the site, you can go HERE, HERE and HERE to grab the other items. To find items from previous kits look for Wonderful Wednesdays or look under the individual names of the month, i.e. January Kit in the label section.  If you create a project using one of these images or any of the images I create, I'd love to see them and post them into the 'Your Gallery' portion of the blog.

Next month brings with it a whole new theme but you'll have to wait and see what I have planned.

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesdays: Sensational Spray for September

Hello my lovelies.  I've got 15 minutes before I need to head downstairs and it should be just enough time to get this week's edition of Wonderful Wednesdays out.  In keeping with the theme of Fall Into Fall, I am offerering up a spray of leaves.  I'd imagine that while it is probably more for scrapbookers, card makers could also use it simply by decreasing its size and laying it over top a light coloured paper before printing it out.

I am pretty proud of this one and hope you like it as well.  I used a template as a base but I put in a significant number of hours colouring it and touching up all the edges.  I put so much time into it in fact, that I am going to do something I've never done before.  I will only be offering this image as a freebie for the remainder of September.  After that it will be removed and set aside for my store once it is established.  That should give you plenty of time to download it and add it to your September kit right?  Well, without further ado, here it is...
Edit:  This image has been removed and will be available for sale sometime in the future.

It is approximately 1145 wide x 1375 pixels high, and is published as a png at 300 dpi. What do think?  It is store worthy right?

If you have missed the first two posts for Wonderful Wednesdays this month, you can go HERE for the first one and HERE for the second where you can grab some Lovely Lettering and some Paper Play.

Stay tuned for one more Wonderful Wednesday this month.  What will it be?  Hard to say.  It will all depend on where the wind carries my ideas.  And look at that I'm only 15 minutes late.  Guess it took 30 and not 15, I do have the tendency to underestimate how long it takes to get things accomplished A LOT.  However, at least I got the offering created and the post out while it is still Wednesday.  That must count for something right?

Also just before I go, thanks for your continued concern regarding my illness.  I really do hate to have to keep telling you I'm sick.  I'm certainly not looking for pity, but I do feel it is important to keep you apprised so that you know and hopefully understand why I'm not running at my usual capacity.  I'll get back on track eventually!  In the meantime thanks for all your well wishes and cyber hugs, they are definitely all contributing towards the healing process, I'm sure!

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesdays Part II: Paper Play for September

So it is time for a little paper play my friends.

I realize this next offering may not appeal to everyone's taste but I really like this unusually coloured pumpking and thought it make for a cool backdrop for a fall layout.   Hopefully someone out there will think of a creative use for it as well.

Here are the next set of papers all created using my Fall into Fall Palette that I created.  Now I don't have a degree in colour theory by any means but I think these colours provide a nice range of fall colours.  I really hope they translate well from digital to print.  Unfortunately, I just never know how close the colour will be to what it looks like on the screen when the papers are printed out.

As a bonus paper to bring it up to five, I've also included this fall leaves paper.  While you can't really see the interesting textures at play with it being this small, once you bring it up full size you will be able to better see the intricacies.  It almost looks like a painting.  This one you should be able to easily use for both scrapbooking AND card making.  Can't wait to see what you make Suze!  I'm singling Suze out because she has the record for making the most number of cards using my papers.  The record currently sits at 14--and those are just the ones I know of!  Of course, I can't wait to see what any of you make and I would love to be able to showcase your creations in my gallery.  So, if you do manage to create something with one of these papers or ANY of my creations, make sure you send me a link to your work.

Each paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels and in jpg format.  The pictures I used to create the top and bottom papers are available over at morgueFileIndividual credits appear below. For the three middle papers I have used templates from Marisa Lerner at Pixel Scrapper

So today hopefully, there is something for scrapbookers and cardmakers alike.

Stay tuned for another Wonderful Wednesday offering real soon as there is still more to come for this month's kit.

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesdays Part I: September Kit Starts Today

If you are new to my blog and would like to know how Wonderful Wednesdays got started, please click HERE.

Hello, my friends!  It is time to start presenting items for the September kit and since I missed last week, I need to pull double duty today. For some reason I was thinking that September had five Wednesdays but it is only five Sundays and Mondays.  Oh well, these things happen, especially if you live in my head.

However, it is going on 3:00 am and as much as I wanted to finish getting the papers ready before heading off to bed so that I could just put the one post out, that is not going to happen.  Hmmmmm....I'm sensing a touch of deja vu?  Didn't I say this exact same thing last month?!  Well, last month I was running REALLY late, today I just want to try and get into bed a little earlier in an effort to get up a bit earlier tomorrow.  So once again, I'm splitting this week's post into two pieces.  Thus I will publish the Lovely Lettering portion of today now, and create another post this afternoon for the Paper Play portion.  So, let's get started with the September kit shall we? The theme for this month's kit is:

FALL INTO FALL

In my neck of the woods, the air is starting to cool and soon the leaves will start their colour transition into a beautiful spectrum of autumn colours.  So why not capture those beautiful fall hues in a kit?

To start off with, here is the Lovely Lettering portion of the kit.  For this month's word (September), I'm doing the same type of thing that I did last month by using a number of various photographs that are in the public domain and then creating text masks.  Here is what I came up with for this month...

These types of pictures just lend themselves so well for creating word art.  These images are all pngs and are quite large to accommodate scrapbooking pages; so, if you need to make them smaller, you can do so easily without distorting them.  The first four pictures I used to create the word art are all available over at morgueFile and the last one is from Public Domain Pictures.  Individual credits appear below.

I'll be back sometime this evening with the papers for this month's kit.  I have yet to start them but I should be able to get them out by tomorrow night--hopefully!

As always, I'd love to see what you come up with if you use anything I create on any of your projects.

Until this evening,
