Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #111...Father's Day or Graduation

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca
Welcome all!  I'm here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design ChallengeThis time around for Challenge #111, the theme is Father's Day or Graduation.  With June coming up, both of these events will be prevalent so it is up to you which route you choose.  Will you honour dear dad or pay homage to someone graduating and moving on to a new phase in their life.  We can't wait to see which path you choose!

Here is my card, I hope that I haven't forgotten any important details:

General Info

  • While this is a digital card for the moment.  I do have plans on printing it out, assembling it and sending it to dear old dad.  Let's just hope I get it done in time for Father's Day!

FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Mens Tie Trio:  The main image I've used is this cool set of ties.  As each one is uniquely different, the image went great with the sentiment I chose for the inside.  You can find it in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the name or watermark linked below.
https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/171245872/mens-tie-trio?ref=shop_home_active_9
  • The main parts of each of the ties have been paper pieced with digital papers created by Jeanine Baechtold, available at {Computer} Scrapbook.com. (see details below).  I then simply coloured in the accent bits for each tie with complimentary colours.

INSIDE
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • Both of these great sentiments are from Imagine That! Digis by Kris.  The first one is part of the new Humphrey's Ties set and the second is from the Poolside Penguins set.  Click on the respective watermarks below to find each of these sets in the IT store.

Card Design: 12MoC Challenge #2...Optional Theme--I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

http://12monthsofchristmaslinkup.blogspot.ca/

Hello!  It is time for the February challenge and link up to begin over at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  We had a great showing in January and Monica and I hope that you'll continue to spread the word.

Don't forget that this link up is basically two-fold.  First of all, you are still going to have the opportunity to link up any number of Christmas and December holiday themed cards throughout the month with an anything goes theme. At the end of each month, every person who has linked up a MINIMUM of two (2) Christmas or holiday themed cards will be eligible to receive a specially designed Christmas themed digital paper created by moi. That means that if you submit two cards each month, by the time that the year is done, you will have received 12 free digital papers, all for the low cost of linking up cards you need to create anyway. You do not need to use the digital paper you receive each month in your cards in order to get the next paper. They are strictly meant as incentive to participate.

While team members had the option of working with any of my Décosse's Dynamite Doodles papers, I did create some other papers to work with based on the theme.  I admit this one was a tough one but I did come up with a couple ideas.  I created a Santa Kisses set with just three images across...

Then I also created just one of the papers with five images across...

Finally, I put together a set called Hugs & Kisses that will be very versatile...

Everyone who links up a minimum of two cards during the month of February will earn ONE of the digital papers from the Santa Kisses 3x set.  The specific paper up for grabs will be shown during the winner announcement post.  If you would like to have a say in determining which colour will be offered, you can answer the poll we've set up in the sidebar on the top right hand side of The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up blog.

The second part of the challenge provides even more incentive to play. Each month there will be an OPTIONAL theme to follow. This month the optional theme is I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, make sure that your card has something sassy on it. You can find more details over on the Challenge 2 post. You can find that post and the link up by clicking HERE.

Also, be sure to check out all the rules and details on the Challenge Details Page. We have provided examples of a few different scenarios to help explain things and make them a bit clearer, in case there is any confusion.

This month our wonderful guest sponsor is
Ike's Art...

Check out the fabulous image I got to work with this month for the start of the challenge...

Card Design: From the Heart Stamps December Challenge

http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/blog/
It is time to post my project for the December, From the Heart Stamps (FTHS) progressive stamp of the month challenge.  In order to enter the progressive challenge, you must either have received the latest image by having participated in the previous month or you can buy the stamp for the current month's challenge.  Everyone who enters and follows the rules is a winner because you automatically get the stamp for the next month's challenge.  Stop by the site and check out the rules for yourself.  While you are there, have a look around.  They have some really awesome images.

Here are my card and details.  I hope I haven't forgotten anything important...

General Information:
  • I do believe that this is one of my favourites for some reason.  I just love the BirdbrainTM character so much that he makes any card stand out!
  • I did an oopsies on this card.  I had originally wanted at least one graph line's worth of space between the accent strips with the presents on them but apparently I wasn't paying enough attention when I affixed the top one.  Too late by then so I just had to put them back to back.  It doesn't look awful but I think it would have looked better with just a little space between.
  • I do believe that I am almost done for this year.  If I have calculated correctly, there is just one more Christmas card I need to make--I think!!

Christmas Card Count to date: 31

FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • The image on the front, Christmas Spirit Birdbrain, is available for purchase over at From the Heart Stamps. Click HERE or on the watermarks below to go to its location in the store. It was coloured in with Copic Markers, and I added some ground with fine markers.

Embellishment:
  • The little wooden gift box is Crafts brand and was purchased at Dollarama.

While I picked it up recently as a freebie, you can purchase it in the Most Wonderful Time of the Year Vintage Image and Word Art Set.  I've linked the watermark below to go to its location in the store.  For great freebies and inspiration be sure to click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and for more awesome sets for purchase, click HERE to go to the home page of the store.

Others I might get it into...
Woop!  Woop!  My final progressive card is done for the month.  I do believe that just leaves three more physical cards to be made by the end of December.  Of course we won't talk about all the computer related, administrative or behind the scenes stuff I still have to do!

Thanks for popping by everyone!  I hope you enjoyed my card and post.  I'm hoping to still get that promo post done but now it is definitely going to have to wait until after supper.

Until then,

Card Design: Imagine That...Progressive Challenge for November

http://imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.ca/
Hello and a happy Friday to you all.  It is time to post my creation for the Imagine That Progressive Challenge. This wonderful progressive challenge does not disappoint as we get the opportunity to earn a fabulous new set each month by linking up. Kris' is an amazing designer and I am thrilled to earn sets from her.

This month the images that everyone who is part of the progressive challenge gets to play with are in the wonderful set,
Jars of Cheer...
While Kris' sets are always versatile, this one is even more so.  There are four fabulous different images that you can choose from to represent a whole slew of occasions.  There is also an awesome set of papers in the store that coordinate with this set called Sweet Tooth.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to copy the watermark but you can find the papers by clicking HERE to head to their location in the store.
As always, you can work with either one of the coloured images, or one of the line art ones. This particular set also comes with seven great sentiments to help you out!  If you missed out, you can still play along by purchasing this set from the store (click on the image name or watermark above to go to the image's location in the store).
Here are my card and details, I hope I haven't forgotten anything important...

General Details:

  • I'm such a bad daughter.  It dawned on me on Nov. 3rd that I still hadn't created a card for my parents' 52nd Anniversary and I had less than a week to do so as their anniversary was on the 10th.  Oopsies.  October was such a crazy month, I just don't know what happened.  I blame it on the head injury I incurred at the beginning of the month in that fall I took and I'm sticking to that excuse. ;)  At the rate I'm going, they might get it by Christmas!

FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Jars of Cheer: Details for how to get a hold of it are included underneath the set preview in the above section. I coloured it mostly digitally and added text to the 'notes'.  I also added a glass layer style courtesy of Webtreats, Inc., although it is a bit difficult to see.  The string was coloured with coloured pencils.  I printed an extra "Jar full of love" tag and popped it up a dimensional dot.
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • This great circle sentiment is from Netty's Cards.  You can find it and more fabulous freebies by clicking HERE and clicking on the freebies tab at the top of the page.  If you grab any of them, be sure to leave Netty some love.
Embellishments:
  • The flowers are Crafts brand, purchased at Dollarama.
  • The buttons were purchased at the Dollar Tree.

INSIDE
Digital Sentiment:
  • This fabulous sentiment was created by Paulette from Create with TLC.  I picked it up as a freebie.  Check out Paulette's wonderful blog by clicking HERE or click HERE to go to the store.

Paper Products:

  • Card, image and sentiment base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
  • The dotted patterned paper is from the Recollection's The Sweetest Thing Paper Pad.  The other came from my stash although I don't remember the original pad name but it would also be Recollection.
  • The paper I used as matting is from Michael's open stock scrapbook paper.

Here is my card, I hope that I haven't forgotten any important details:

General Information:
  • While I love this time of year, I don't really have the need for too many actual Hallowe'en cards.  That is why for this challenge I've chosen to create a fall themed birthday card using the colours of Hallowe'en.
  • I have chosen to create most of the card digitally and then just printed out the front and inside panels, coloured the main image by hand and then assembled the panels onto a base.  I'm using a sketch from the latest challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges.
FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Pumpkin Watering Can & Mums:  This unique image was perfect for my card.  You can find the image in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the name or watermark linked below.
