Wonderful Wednesdays--Offering for January

If you are new to my blog and want to know how this concept got started, you can find the original post by clicking HERE

Okay so first off, since yesterday, I've lost four--count 'em four--more followers.  Pair that with the other two I lost recently and that is a total of six members gone in a very short period of time.  I'm rather saddened by the whole thing but am VERY thankful for those of you who do continue to stick around.

I'm not as active as I used to be on my personal blog but I'm still trying to bring you as much inspiration and as many goodies as I can which is why I am popping in tonight with this post.  It is time for another year of Wonderful Wednesdays to start up.

If you are new to my blog in the past year, you can find other items for the January kit by clicking the respective links below:

Wonderful Wednesdays---Let's Try This Again....

Hey gang.  I'm going to do my best to reprieve Wonderful Wednesdays again this year.  In 2013 I managed to get items done each and every month.  Unfortunately in 2014, I just got so crazy busy that there was no way I was able to keep it up.  I think the problem was that I wanted to make sure that I was getting things out each and every Wednesday of the month and that simply was not realistic.  I think I was also trying to create too many things at a time as well.  Then it just became overwhelming and when I become overwhelmed, I don't deal very well so it just got dropped completely.

However, I've been thinking that maybe I can try again as long as I pare back and just do it once a month with maybe the occasional bonus if I have the time.  After all, I'm sure you'd rather have one new thing a month going into your kit as opposed to nothing at all, right?  So, going with this idea, it is time to revive Wonderful Wednesdays.

Now if you are new to my blog and do not understand what I am referring to, you can check out the very first post I did on this concept back in January 2013 by clicking HERE.  It briefly explains the details of what I had wanted to do accomplish with this concept.  You can also find some free word art in that post.  Other items for the January kit can be found by clicking on the respective links below:

2013
  • Blue snowflake paper:  Click HERE.
  • Blue snowflake edging:  Click HERE.
  • 'wish for snow' word overlays + a circle date stamp in blue:  Click HERE.
Please note that the quality of my creations offered up in the beginning months of 2013 may not be up to standard as I was just starting out in design.

2014

  • Snowflake brads (gold):  Click HERE.
  • Matching snowflake edging in five more colours + a linear date stamp in blue:: HERE.

Now back in 2014, I finally gave a name to the January Kit and called it 'Snow Much Fun'.  So, here are two new papers you can add to your January kit...

Wonderful Wednesdays--Eclectic Edges for the January Kit

Crap on a cracker.  It is now 11:25 p.m. and I am just finishing off this post.  While I did pull off two other things on my to do list that needed definite accomplishment before tomorrow, I am much more behind that I would have liked to have been.  Well in that case, enough talking and on with the final items for the January Kit--Snow Much Fun.

We are going to finish out the kit this month with some Eclectic Edges. You received one last year in the January kit but is was quite large, 72 inches I believe.  Of course, I didn't understand all the different scrapbooking dimensions back then and thought that was normal.  Now I know better.  With Photoshop Essentials I can work a bit faster.  Thus, I can increase the number of goodies available.  Thank goodness for progress!

Now these edges are meant for scrapbooking and are much larger than they appear here.  They are 3600 px wide.  That doesn't mean that as a card maker you can't use them.  I am always using scrapbooking items in my cards.  The great thing when you have a larger sized item is that it can always be resized smaller without distorting the quality of the image.

I hope you like my final offerings for this month's kit and can find some use for them. If you have missed the previous ones, or if you are new to the site, you can go HERE, and HERE to grab the other items. To find items from previous kits look for Wonderful Wednesdays or look under the individual names of the month, i.e. January Kit in the label section. If you create a project using one of these images or any of the images I create, I'd love to see them and post them into the 'Your Gallery' portion of the blog.

Next month brings with it, new items to add to last year's February kit of no name.  We'll have to rectify that next week.  Look at that it is 11:53.  I actually managed to get the post out while it is still Wednesday--at least still where I live anyways!

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesdays--Beautiful Brads

I wasn't sure I was going to get this post out but the soup I talked about at the end of my last post is on and simmering.  I have just finished adding some meatless meatballs, some egg noodles and some spices to finish it all off.  Therefore, while it finishes cooking, I have just enough time to get this post created.

It is time for this week's edition of Wonderful Wednesdays and my offering for you this time around is a series of snowflake brads to add to your multi-year January kit called Snow Much Fun.  There are six in all.  Three have one snowflake design and three have a different one.  Each is coloured slightly different.  I hope you enjoy them.  Take a look...

Each image is in png format and is the actual size you see here.  Credit information for these brads can be found in the credit note below.

Stay tuned next week for the final Wonderful Wednesday offering for this month's kit.  And, talk about perfect timing, the timer has just gone off and din-din is finally ready.

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesdays--Paper Play for January

Hidee ho to all you people out there in blogland!  A new January has rolled around and it is time to add to last year's January kit.  Now after a discussion with Suze, who is such a fan of the snowflake paper I made last January, I have decided to offer it up in different colours. Problem is, due to the way this particular paper is made, it takes over two and a half hours to create one.  Well, last year it may have been acceptable to just give you one paper in the monthly kit since I was so new to creating digitally.  However, that isn't the case anymore; so, I managed to create four frost papers in different colours to help add something extra.  Hopefully, next year I'll be able to add another snowflake version in yet a different colour if people like them.

The other thing I realized is that since I was working with no real agenda in sight, I didn't start naming the kits until much later in the year.  So, how about we call the January kit, Snow Much Fun

And, how about we get right to it starting with the snowflake companion paper to last year...

I kinda like the pink one myself.  If you are interested in its teal companion from last year, you can click HERE.

Now, here are the frost ones, to help build up the paper part of this particular kit...

Now I am not exactly sure why, but the papers are showing up much darker when I upload them to the blog than they do in my programs.  Hopefully they won't be too dark when you download them.

As usual, all of these papers are 3600 x 3600 pixels (i.e. 12 inches) and are published at 300 dpi.  Credit information for these papers can be found in the credit note below.

Stay tuned for another Wonderful Wednesday offering real soon as there is still more to come for this month's kit.

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesday: Winsome Words

If you are new to my blog and would like to know how Wonderful Wednesdays got started, please click HERE.

The Digital Design Diva (a.k.a. my inspiration fairy) has come up with one last element for this year's January kit. This week I'm offering up some winsome words for your scrapping pleasure.   There are two versions:  one with a transparent background and one with a solid beveled background.  The original size is between 640 & 650 pixels wide (depending on which version) by 1080 pixels high but when saved at 300 dpi it comes out at 3600 pixels high.  So depending on the software that you import it into, it should be somewhere between these two sizes.

The images are large size pngs so I've put them into a zip file.  Clicking on either thumbnail--which is a greatly reduced idea of what the images look like--should bring up the direct link for the file.

Your January kit should now have a total of four items in it.  If you have missed one, or if you are new to the site, you can go HERE for the first item, HERE for the second and HERE for the third.  Remember next month brings with it a new theme but you can always increase the items in your January kit by coming back the first month of next year; although, I hope that you will stick around until that time.  Just think of all the goodies you'll be losing out on if you don't.  Besides, there are always my exhilarating conversations you'll miss, never mind my stimulating personality.  Nope, no ego here!

Hope you like my final offering for this month's kit and can find some use for it.  If you create a project using one of these images or any of the images I create, I'd love to see them and post them into the 'Your Gallery' portion of the blog.

Until next time,

If you've actually made it to the end of this post I have a little bonus item for the January kit.  It is a date stamp in the same winter blue colour as other elements of the January kit.  Enjoy!

Wonderful Wednesdays: Eclectic Edges for January Kit

If you are new to my blog and would like to know how Wonderful Wednesdays got started, please click HERE.

I have a new item up for grabs this week for your January Kit.  This time it falls under the category of Eclectic Edges.  To fit in with the winter theme I've been presenting, here is a snowflake edge for you.  The original size is almost 1100 pixels wide but when saved at 300 dpi it comes out at 3600 pixels wide.  So depending on the software that you import it into it should be somewhere between these two sizes.  The file itself is over 1 MB so I've put it into a zip file.  Clicking on the image--which is a greatly reduced idea of what the edging looks like--should bring up the direct link for the file.

Hope you find a use for it.  If you create a project using this image or any of the images I create, I'd love to see them and post them into the 'Your Gallery' portion of the blog.

Your January kit should now have three items in it.  If you have missed one, or if you are new to the site, you can go HERE for the first item and HERE for the second.  Hopefully I'll get one more in before the month is over.

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesdays: Paper Play for January

If you are new to my blog and would like to know how Wonderful Wednesdays got started, please click HERE.

The Digital Design Diva (a.k.a. my inspiration fairy) has been at it again. This week I'm offering up Paper Play with a winter themed paper for the January Kit.

It is a good thing I had most of it done last week because with all the cards I've been creating I almost forget to finish it.  As it is, it's already Thursday in New Zealand and other parts of the world.  I guess you guys could call it Thrilling Thursday since I am so late.  However, that might be pushing it.  The paper doesn't really pass as thrilling does it?  Oh well, I tried...

It is (cough) roughly 3600 x 3600 pixels and in png format.  It wouldn't be made by me if it was exact now would it?  Here you go...

Okay, here you don't go.  Blogger is doing something strange right now.  I tried uploading the png version of the paper three times.  I then logged out of everything and tried again but to no avail.  For some reason, every time I tried uploading it here, it ended up with a black frame around it.  Since Nikki over at Melonheadz had been having some similar issues I thought maybe it was a png issue.  However, that wasn't it because I just tried uploading some old png files that I created previously and they uploaded fine.  So, if I am going to offer it up to you, it will have to be as a jpg.  Anyone else having similar image upload issues?

Since I had to convert it to a jpg, this one is actually 3600 x 3600.

Now you have two items for your January kit.  Hopefully I'll have a chance to add another to it this month.

Until next time,

Wonderful Wednesdays: Lovely Lettering Day

Oh Lord I just can't help myself with the whole alliteration thing now can I and I'm afraid it is going to get worse.  MUCH WORSE! Hee,Hee!

So call up the Loonie Literary Line and have them drag me away because the adorable alliterations are just beginning.  You'll soon be seeing the likes of Tantalizing Tags, Marvelous Masks, Paper Play, Easy Embellishments and who knows what else my evil brain can come up with. ;O)  All part of the new Wonderful Wednesday series.

Some time back  in November, I thought it would be neat to come up with something that had a monthly theme but I wasn't sure what approach to take.  Well, the Digital Design Diva, the pet name for my other personality I mean my inspiration fairy was busy the other night coming up with a plan for the year.  Each month I'll offer up items that go together; however, you'll never know what combination you might get.  Some months it might be a word combined with a paper along with a tag and other months I might offer a paper, a mask and an embellishment.  As the years go by I might just consider adding to each kit depending on how well this idea is received.  So, five years from now your January kit might have upwards of 15-20 items in it.  You see I'm actually an evil genius.  By dangling items in front of you, you stick around to grow your kits while I continue to grow as a designer and blogger.  You wouldn't want your kits to be incomplete now would you?  Stick with me peeps, I promise to take you on, at the very least, an interesting ride.

Here is this week's offering:

You never know when another Wonderful Wednesday will arrive so keep your eyes peeled.  On second thought that is such an awful saying.  Who'd want to go through the pain of peeling their eyes anyways so just keep them open and on the lookout each Wednesday of the month because it just might turn out to be a wonderful one!

Until next time,
